Milan had treated Albertini like s***!

As a Milan fan I am embarassed of the way they treated Demetreo two years ago and letting him go. He was one of the best and greatest players that ever wore a Milan jersey and as it is clear by this interview he was treated shabily! I am no longer going to criticize Inter or Juventus when we do this kind of crap as we are not any better. That unfortunate departure has possibly ruined one of Italy's best mid-fielders career.

By the way it was great to see Pancaro, the guy he was traded for panned-out. by the way what was his name again?!!!

here is the article

Albertini swaps Milan for Lazio

AC Milan's Demetrio Albertini has signed a two-year contract with Lazio in a deal which sees Giuseppe Pancaro move in the opposite direction.

Midfielder Albertini, who spent last season on loan in Spain with Athletico Madrid, will join Lazio on a permanent basis while defender Pancaro has agreed a one-year loan deal at the San Siro, with an option for a second season.

'As an AC Milan fan I suffered when I had to leave the club for a year, and I had plenty of joy watching from Madrid as they won the Champions League,' said the 31-year-old. 'I went to Spain without any hard feelings because it is not in my character or my upbringing.

'After the experience of a year in Madrid I believed I was coming back to play for the Rossoneri. But a few days before the start of pre-season, I discovered there was no longer a place for me at Milan', said Albertini.

Albertini made over 300 appearances for Milan after his 1988 debut, in the years that followed the club enjoyed considerable success including six Serie A titles, three European Cups, and three UEFA Super Cups.

Albertini also represented Italy 79 times but an achilles injury ruled him out of last summer's World Cup.

isn't it a bit late to complain about this now?

anyway, as much as I feel for Deme being let go like, I understand why such a decision was made and accept it was for the good of the club.

I agree that it was better for the club to let him go...somehow!

Mehdi is an unknown quantity at this point
Albertini was an immensely mediocre player, compared to the other midfielders that have played for this club. The fact that his Milan career finished at 30 tells you everything you need to know.

Im glad another Milan fan actually feels this way. I was happy to see him go and make way for Pirlo and I thought Ambro, turned out to be Rino instead though

There used to be a girl on this forum called Demi, who nearly had a heart attack once when I suggested the sale of Albertini.

To be honest, he was no longer of any use to Milan, so we let him go. He was finished, face it. Milan is a football club, not a homeless shelter
