For me, of all the options present, though untested in Europe, Tevez is the best bet.

I have admired his skill on the ball, goal scoring ability, as well as his penchant for creating opportunities for others.

When an Argentine can get "Player of the Year" in Brazil, either he had Moggi as an agent, or he was just [i]that good. Everyone knows of the animosity between Argentina and Brazil, and for him to have attained that accolade, then he really is the real deal.

Another option however, is his fellow forward Nilmar, formerly of Lyon. He is an exciting prospect, and a player I feel is good enough for Milan, were we not to get Tevez.

Tevez would be a great signing if we sell Shevchenko..the guy has talent, speed, ball control and a powerful shot, I can just see him ripping serie A defenders one by one..GO CARLITOS!

Tevez can be for sure a great replacement for Sheva, not only because his footballing skils, but also for his guts and hunger for glory.

sheva's replacement? only one player: tevez! he might be better than sheva.
drogba, etoo, adriano can replace sheva, but we need player with magical quality not another pure striker that only tevez can provide,so can messi, but messi is not for sale.

i really hope tevez joins us.

I just wanted to pass along something that a Real Madrid fan from Sao Paolo, Brazil posted in a general football forum -- the Chelsea section, actually -- about the possibility of Tevez and Mascherano moving to Milan after the Sheva deal (I'm cleaning up the language a bit):

Quote:
Corinthians are concerned that Milan are after Tevez and Mascherano, and both players are willing to move to Italy together.

Chelsea will be paying 40 million plus Gallas to Milan. Milan defence will improve if possible with Gallas. And if Mascherano arrives, Gatusso+Mascherano will become the strongest midfield in Europe imo. Maybe as strong as Makelele+Essien but with Macherano it will become far more technical.

Im not sure about Abramovich influences as nobody here confirms it, but is likely that he'll pull some strings in Sao Paulo in order to release the players into european negotiations.

Its a win-win for Milan always. Great exchange of players and a chance of signing the most real promising player in Argentina.

Carlitos is ####### outstanding. His pace, technique, mentality and capacity of overcoming himself, makes him a lethal player. He'll suit in Europe perfectly. I've seen him doing great stuff in Sao Paulo while his team was thinking in taking a shower and leaving home to #### their gorgeous brasilian girfriends. He is mentally very strong. And his height, allows him a sharp coordination in his fast movements that can overtake and confuse the toughest defender in Europe.

And besides all his more than proved technical qualities, Tevez has the grit to succeed on Serie A.
