it's either Galliani are salvaging his way to finalized Tevez or Eto'o deal without any fuss, and using this media hype to get Ronaldo as a giant smokescreen...
or all the rumours about Ronaldo coming to Milan is really true....

Time will tell who's gonna come in the end

ps : Eto'o's name are resurfacing again so you know, the speculation is, as Samuel's relationship with Rijkaard are not getting better, Barca are now trying to push hard for Trezeguet, and so that makes Eto'o are very much Milan bound (Carlo's special wish) with the situation.

Believe it or not.....it's a mere speculation. But a sweeter one than R9 imo

never crossed my mind that our management will do very low as that as Chelsea'd done to Gallas

some ronaldo's bashing here are quite logical and comprehensive but let us look at other side of the coin, he will cost about 1/3 of sheva's price which is a fair price considering he is not a phenomenon like he used to be in psv, barca and inter, however the fat and unfit ronnie still scored more goals last season than the so much supported bunches in this forum: torres, ibrahimovic, crespo, adriano.
milan lab can not bring back the phenomenon like he used to be, but he is still the world class striker.

in my opinion milan choose tevez as their first priority and ronaldo second. if we get ronaldo i think it is because we can not get tevez for some reasons.
whoever milan get, i definitely support him.

Decline is an interesting concept. It could be said that Shevchenko's skills are in decline also. Were you happy to see him go because of it? A player can be "in decline" but still be one of the best in the world. After all, an injured and unfit Ronaldo scored more goals in 23 appearances last year than did the young and highly fit Fernando Torres, who most of you are always wanking over, in 35 games. So Ronaldo was still scoring at roughly the same pace last year as he had in the previous three seasons when he scored more than 20 goals each season. I'd say the jury is still out regarding Ronaldo's "decline," or at least the speed of it.

Nowadays, due to bad luck and the propensity to stuff massive amounts filth and garbage down his gullet, he's slower and reduced his effectiveness as a striker to just an out-and-out finisher. We already have two in this department well covered thank you very much, in #9 and #11. We are in the market for someone with a little more dimension in his game, not in belly girth or inscisor size.
If you've actually watched Ronaldo, then you should know that he still draws about three defenders every time the ball comes his way. There's a reason for that. And even if he is, as you claim, only a finisher, what's wrong with that? If he can score 20-25 goals and the guys we already have can only score 10-15, I'm not sure what the problem is. There's no law that says Milan can't buy Ronaldo AND another striker such as Tevez, Sobis, Suazo, etc., is there? And as for his alleged "belly girth," once again I will reiterate: there is no doubt in my mind that Ronaldo has a lower percentage of body fat right now than just about everybody commenting on these forums. So he maybe could lose three pounds. Whooptie doo. Two weeks in the Milan labs and he would be fine.

Do you see, after two major knee injuries, Ronaldo pushing to reinvent himself in a new way on the pitch? For a large percentage of the Sheva money, he better darn well be. I just don't see it folks. Help me out here. Stop feeding me this faith in management, faith in Milan Lab, faith, faith, faith business. Look at the situation head-on, honestly, objectively, and tell me. Do you want to spend a third to half of the Sheva sale on an obvious declining has-been talent?
Ronaldo is not 30. He's 29. He's exactly seven days older than Shevchenko. And why does Ronaldo have to be the Ronaldo of 2002 to be a valuable addition to the team? Ronaldo is still twice the player of many who have been mentioned and it's not like he's going to cost what a 25-year-old Ronaldo would cost in today's market. We're talking here about paying for Ronaldo basically the same price that Newcastle is giving to Inter for Martins. Ronaldo is still twice the player Martins is.

You ever consider that?
By "change of scenery" I'm not speaking so much of the geographic location or the city as the situation. He could just as easily get a "change of scenery" by going across town to Atletico Madrid. I'm speaking of being in a different situation with different relationships. Players who are unhappy at certain teams often have a better outlook when they join another. It's really a simple concept.

What would happen with any player? There are no guarantees in life or in football.

Does he have the drive and ambition compared to other guys we're considering, Tevez, Torres, Sobis? Uh, no. Ronaldo has achieved it all already. He won't be as devastated as these other guys and us fans if we get knocked out of the CL or lose a chance to win the Scudetto. See, these guys, Tevez, Torres, Sobis, they're hungry. They have a lot to prove. They haven't experienced the sweet smell of success. At least we know on one level we're getting some commitment and motivation from Tevez, Torres, and Sobis. You really can't say that about Ronaldo.
Just because a player has won before doesn't mean they no longer want to win. Maybe Ronaldo wants to shut up his critics , like you and Gre-no-li. Maybe he wants to win the Champions League. Maybe he wants to win the Scudetto. How do you know what Ronaldo is thinking? Isn't it awfully presumptuous of you to think you know these things don't mean much to him? How could you possibly know? Are you a psychic? All you're doing is guessing and trying to fit it to your argument. And when was a law passed that says Milan can't buy Ronaldo AND either Tevez, Torres or Sobis? (And, by the way, Tevez has won several championships at the club level, both in Brazil and Argentina, as well as the Copa Libertadores, the Copa Sudamericana, the Intercontinental Cup world championship and an Olympic gold medal. So what is his motivation, right?)

And I'm hoping and praying, for the love of mother and child, this is all just a smokescreen.
It's one thing to have the opinion that Milan should go in another direction. It's something entirely different to be making childish comments about his teeth or acting like he weighs 400 pounds. If you don't think he belongs at Milan, fine. But it's not your decision. That's up to the guys who have made Milan the most successful club in the world over the past couple of decades. If they want Ronaldo, there must be a reason and that's good enough for me. As I've said all along, I'm neutral about the question of bringing Ronaldo to Milan. I'm only defending him against childishness, false accusations and a downright lack of anything resembling logic in the arguments against him. But if it comes down to a choice between trusting Berlusconi, Galliani, etc., or trusting some guy on a message board who can't express himself without acting like a 12-year-old and engaging in an endless stream of silly and vicious namecalling, I'll take the guys who have built championships for Milan every time.

I have no problem with Ronaldo coming. I mean he does carry a little bit of weight but that can be fixed.

The only thing I have reservations about is that he is injury prone.

just a quick question:
This supposed proposal for a deal - Kaka+money for Ronie+Beckham - where is the source for that?
Yesterday I was mostly focused on the game, so I didn't pay much attention to peoples fears of us getting Ronie, but I think someone just dropped it like a joke and other people took it seriously and turned it into yet another reason to startpointless arguments.

That's more goals in 23 games than the great Ferdando Torres -- who seems to have half the posters on this board pleasing themselves over him -- scored in 35 games. Yet somehow Ronaldo's career is proclaimed to be over and Torres is the second coming of van Basten.
He only score in meaningless games, Rick. In real competition, last season, I can only remember a goal he score against Barcelona.

I haven't seen rumours of this but this is something I would love, my special wish as well. Time is running out so I guess we'll find out soon enough.
