Not many would argue about Tevez talent and abilities but there are other things in his character and behaviour that may have very well been a decisive factor in Milan looking elseware for a new striker.
ronaldo may not enter into fist fights bit he doesnt give a damn about his personal fitness or his priam donna lifestyle.

thats a poor arguement against tevez when comparing him to ronaldo, zlat.

I'm glad someone else apart from me is picking up on the fact he's just had knee surgery and will be out for who knows how long.

i don't know about you , but i like to see some scudetto's titles too , not only the cl. cup's , how long ago since we win a scudetto ? ; besides, too many oportunities we lost , if we're lookin' from this point of view , it will be like this: relax everybody , ronaldinho will become 30- 31 years old sooner or later , and then we can strike right away , makin' our dearest dream finaly come true.

you do have a point, Jim, but honestly, how does one make a 30 mil or so investment without HEAVILY looking into his CV so far? We can't just hope that a player who's nickname is "The Bull" would turn into the "Carlitos the Angel" just because he said so in a moment of good mood and pay 30 mil or so based on wishful thinking that he will turn his life around just like that.
For very similar reasons we didn't go for an equally talanted, and Italian at that, player like Cassano when he would have cost us 5 mil euros. And cassano was mostly known as a wuss and wasn't exactly famous for his kickboxing habbits.
I mean, honestly, why would we go for Tevez when he would cost 6 times as much as Cassano?

me too, but you can't expect such an investment to be made for a striker who will not be usable in the CL because that would mean we would have to go for another 20+ mil striker for the CL. This isn't CM but we are talking about real money that don't grow on trees but have to be earned somehow. That's why for Milan the only realistic option is to go for one expensive striker who could play both comptitions.
Who that striker should be, that's a totally different matter not decided on these forums. Whether Ronaldo is the answer, I am not so sure - he isn't among my prefered options but should he come, I won't be rolling tears either.

Yeh ive just read it am a little gutted.
The Diavoli are now forced to change their plans and may formalise their offer for Udinese’s Vincenzo Iaquinta, rumoured to be worth £7m plus striker Marco Borriello
Am having nightmares now that we may sign Vincenzo Iaquinta

Because Cassano is the fat Italian and even worse than the fat Brasilian?

Good Lord, the fat boy can stay where he belongs!

All the money we have can be used on a new talent! If no talent ones available, we will manage with what we have. Have faith in Gila, Pippo and all other Milan players.

We have been screwed by RM once, that is more than enough!

Nah, we won't sign Iaquinta, he is much too similar to Pippo with a big difference, Pippo is actualy 10 times better at what he does than Iaquinta.

Real and Milan yet to agree over Ronaldo move

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani and sporting director Ariedo Braida returned to Italy on Thursday after talks with Real's sporting director Predrag Mijatovic, but negotiations are likely to continue over the next few days

http://today.reuters.co.uk/news/arti...ER-RONALDO.XML

Let's hope that is going to be a fly for Tevez now but a succesfull one
