Surprise Signing

Since we lost Sheva there has been talk about a surprise signing by Milan, which isnt neccesarily a sign that we will get the best player at any position but someone that would shock some.
So well, with so few days remaining before the transfer deadline, I want to know if you indeed believe that Berlusconi, Braida and Galliani will give us some kind of surprise or christmas gift. But not only that, speculate who that could be and why...

Buffon.

I know his name has been brought up by transfer pundits and he has ruled out leaving Juventus but I think Milan will make a mega offer for him and he will come a la Nesta (last day).

It makes sense. Dida has still not penned a new contract, Coppola has been loaned out. Berlu is looking for a big, glamourous signing and who better than Buffon?

I think Buffon definitely remains a possibility. If not for the scandal, according to Buffon himself, he would already be a Milan player. He says he will remain at Juve out of loyalty and to help keep the team strong despite relegation, but he is also open to a move should Juve want to sell him and still seems as though he would relish the challenge of playing for the Rossoneri. If Berlusconi were willing to break the bank, I think he could still make it happen.

Beyond that, it could be anyone from among a number of players. Tevez. Alves. Lots of guys.

I don't believe they will sign a great name.

I think we will, if only as I prefer the half-full option. Likely: Gigi, Longshot: Ronaldinho

Agree with above it'll be down to the wire, and think it'll be stealth set-up, little to no rumours & a quick announcement.

Ronaldinho of course would THE GREAT MOVE, but also a very unlikely one... considering that I'm satisfied with Dida displays, I would go for Torres, Reyes or Alves.

I think we won't sign any big name this summer. And maybe we will play with 4-3-2-1, Merry Christmas.

it's time to think about rejuvenatin' our defense... gettin' another striker besides Oliveira would be nice... but seriously... we got more issues with our old backline... not to mention not 90 mins capable... injury proned... soon to retire... and yeah... a new GK to replace the soon to depart for free Dida... afterall we loan out Coppola... and our GK department is thin...

I would like to think that after such a negative summer with the Cappioli scandal, our management would do something to give the fans something to look forward to.

I'm afraid the i see the same cycle coming back, where a couple of years ago Milan bought average players like Guinti, Sala, Helveg, of course Bierhoff, etc... The Tabarez era!

Doesn't Favalli, Bonera, Oliveira type signings seem to the same as above?

Sigh... I feel numb

The surprise signing would be ME... HAHAHAHA, would that be a surprise.

The thing is, I think the signing of THE GRAET FAVALLI still have shockwave echoed in my mind.
SO PLS, if the surprise signing is someone like that, I would rather they not sign anyone at all.

Hopefully, Buffon, Oddo, Ronaldinho, Sauso, and a midfielder

I really can't see a surprise signing happening anymore. If it will be similar to the signing of Nesta a couple of years ago, then I'm all for it athough I highly doubt it. Also, I think that Bierhoff was a great signing. I think he's the only player I know that couldn't use his legs to save his life but could definitely score with that head of his

Well said mate. Unless we act in a hurry, things don't look to bright in rossonero country

It is hard to say if Milan are going to sign a big name this season.

Milan needs this big sign especially after this horrible summer, to boost again moral. And Milan management knows this more than we do.

It is not a secret that Milan are more than interested on Ronaldinho and Berlusconi yesterday confirmed it again that he will be willing to make big financial sacrifices only for Ronaldinho.

So my doubts are that may be Milan are saving money for this mega transfer, and in my opinion it is not possible before next season.

In this picture Gallas/ Oddo are still in reach.

(NB. This is only my opinion, so take it with a pinch of salt )
