Yeah maybe then you could enjoy an old man try to match past glories while Gila blows defences apart.

[quote=nefremo]One goal in every game? That's a little crazy. I don't know any striker that has a goal per game average. QUOTE]

Average 1 goal per game is every striker's dream which never comes true but 1 per 2 or 2 per 5 games is what a good striker needs to score. Even everyone can accept a striker goes on for 5 - 10 games scoreless but it is very hard to accept at Milan a striker that disappears for 3-4 games so often which is what Gila is now.

Yea I think for chelsea tht wud be a good option as Man Utd lead them on Goal Difference so Gila coming and scoring the 'not-affecting result' goal would boost their goal difference!

I can safely confirm there are quite a few others who saw that. Hopefully this is a trend.

I don't think Gila is arrogant. he appears to be humble IMHO. However what I do question is his talent and mental strength. Sheva could come on as a sub for 15 minutes and create absolute havoc in any defence. Gila needs to
1) start
2) get great passes
3) have a 'good hair day'
etc etc.
I will stop knocking him because he could turn the corner on me ( which I'm hoping for ). So I won't knock him any further. But we need a guy more like our other attackers sheva Inzaghi or Kaka. Guys who need the whole universe to be in harmony are good enough for the bench but aren't starting milan material
If ever Gila:
1) comes on as a sub and saves us a loss/ or gives us the three
2)Scores the first goal in a match which isn't a blowout
3)Scores the equalizer or winning goal

MORE THAN TWICE FOR THE SEASON I'll shut up for a month

don't ever understand why such criteria exists, which in my honest opinion is promoting individualistic play in a teamwork game.

Because Great teams always have 3+ individuals who on their day can win it all for you. An entire game can be taken in their hands. They are supported by a core og "good" players. And at the end of the match they all lie and tlak about "football being a team sport" yadda yadda yadda, but at the end of the day you still have your "go-to man" or Men.
Old Milan had the flying dutchmen
Past Milan had Rui, Sheva, Kaka Inzaghi
New Milan only Kaka

for instance in barcelona, on their day Messi, Deco, Ronaldinho and Eto'o can win it single handedly for you.
chelsea have Robben Drogba and Lampard
Inter have Crespo Ibra and Figo
etc etc

these reasons for not liking/supporting Gilardino are becoming more and more ludicrous. Next you'll be saying "I'll only stop going on at him if he scores every match in the 33rd minute, with his back to goal, with his left foot from 20 yards. Otherwise i'm going to give him hell"

When you start a game you don't know when the first goal will be, you don't know how many goals the team will score in total, so all this nonsense about how only scoring equalizing, winning or first goals will vindicate him from your abuse is utter rubbish.

The only thing i agree with drucurl about (and anyone else who shares this view) is how we are a one man team now and have pretty much one match winner. We need that dynamic central midfielder or that striker who can create out of nothing or that pacy player to throw on at the death of a game who can cause havoc. Something extra.

I agree, Gila isnt playing according to some movie script you guys seem to have and for God's sake stop making Sheva out to be some kind of god. The money grabbing scrounger isnt scoring many goals now is he.

We were a one man team, but now Gila will be scoring and Gourcuff will be a great influence and help for both Kaka and Pirlo. Mark my words Oliveira will become much more of a threat in the coming weeks.

^ that's cause Chelsea is a cynical defensive team. No art no risks. Strikers get few through balls and are forced to live off impossible crosses and any other scraps in the box.
Sheva was super I can't believe some here forgot the game against LAzio when everybody from Dida to Kaka was playing crap and he SNATCHED victory from the jaws of defeat. Or the time he had a bust up with Ancelotti and then came on asa sub and scored and made him look like a fool
Or the goal he scored in the CL final vs Juve which was incorrectly called offside...etc etc
WE NEED ANOTHER SUPERSTRIKER AND THAT'S THE BOTTOM LINE. I said I'm laying off Gila for now, but he isn't a super striker and call me crazy but Ronaldo is the only interim stop-gap I can think of till we get our transfer plans sorted out!
