No. I don't want this. Its gone too far. I don't care if we get a Scudetto back, its done. Calcio has suffered enough already. And I'm scared we could be involved in this too. If individuals were to be punished, then fine. But I don't want the reputation of Italian football to suffer any more than it already has.

Thanks Icculus for the update. I got this same news item from both Reuters and the Associated Press. Goltv has apparently used them as sources as well.

here we go again?
If we had Giovanni here, he could explain how the justice system works in Italy. I will assume that the earlier rulings were held in a "special" court whose jurisdiction were of civil cases privy to football. This new case brings it in front of a court whose jurisdiction involves criminal actions taken.
Again... I believe this should have been done first and than the "football" court should have then divied out punishment according to football rules afterwards. Like I said you try the crime first than take civil action (like relegation, fines, point reductions, monetary rewards/reparations) later.

What if no criminal wrongdoing is found for the accused Moggi? Would and should his ban from football be justified? What if no crime was commited by Milan? Will our 8 pts be restored? If it is, what civil actions can we take for the damages done to our season for wrongful prosecution? Will the powers that be, prevent us from any legal recourse involving the malfeasance of certain public officials appointed by the govt such as people like Rossi?
I tell you the legal system in Italy is a bit different. In comparisson to other legal systems, they sure are putting the cart before the horse.

I want them to go through with it, to the bone, let them send Juventus to Serie D and Inter to Serie Z, for me personaly that would feel better than winning 7 CL's, and we won't go down at all as Berlusconi stated :"these new facts only prove Milan were solely the victim" and I (almost) believe him, especialy when he puts up his most innocent face.

But don't panic, it will all be swept quitly under the rug, and join the lost Inter tapes in the void of eternal oblivion.

my original outrage stems from the fact that one of the additional games involve juve vs milan.
1- a friend of mine, who has followed itailan football for years, was always stating how juve cheats, ect...ect. i thought he was just bitter. But after that game, we discussed how the ref was biased.
2- if milan was apart of the cheating, and therefore aware of it...how could juve cheat against us? its impossible.

i agree that hopefully this all just goes away...however, if milan could be cleared of all wrong doing, it might be worth it, image wise.
i could care less about the scudetto...let inter have their trophy with an *, especially if milan are cleared of all wrong doing...and they know deep down it really belongs to us.

but what if we miss cl by fewer that 8pts?
i read, as most of us all did, everthing i could find on this last summer...all i remember, is the dude in charge of handling ref's for milan, offering some ref a hair piece.

Best analysis of the whole scandal I've ever read

I agree that if it clears our image, it might be worth it, but the damage to our reputation is already done. Inter is untouchable, I doubt anyone can get to them, and I couldn't care less what happens to Juve.

But seriously, that line is a gem

The issue is icculus, as far as this summer went, was that we were accused of having a "parallel" system to that of Juve...sort of a "counter" to their set-up.

The explanation therefore for the Milan v Juve game in question, could very well be that their "system" was simply superior to ours, hence they got the ref/linesmen they needed for our game with them.

Personally, I dont kno what to believe, but I do hope that we are innocent as Berlu and Galliani claim....what boggles my mind, is Interīs complete, and utter "innocence" when I am sure they are just as, if not more guilty than us or Juve for that matter.

On goal.com italian version, Galliani states already that Milan lawyers will try to get the scudetto 2005 assigned to Milan, I especialy like his quote : "When our Inter cousins get the 2006 scudetto assignated so easily while they were third with 15 points behind the champion, we should get the 2005 assigned even easier than them." Hahaha I picture Morrati's face already. And Juventus loses nothing by assigning us the 2005 scudetto hey got it already revoked and it didn't get assigned to no one, so no complains from them either.

Exactly what I have been crying for since when I learned the fact that the two titles will be stripped out of Juve's hands

On the other hand this could all serve as a big camouflage to make forget about an other sporting fraud investigation : the Inter falsification of economic balance... I think it will all be swept under the rug, maybe they'll relegate Messina but Juventus cannot be punished again for the same type of facts (unfortunately)

personally I couldn't care less if we get handed the 2005 scudetto. I feel no pride in getting a fax scudetto.

All I'd like is for our name to be cleared of the mess we were put in last summer.

Gosh, this makes me all scared again. I REALLY don't Milan's name dragged through the mud again. I read from the juventuz.com forums that Moggi is now preparing to launch an appeal. Apparently he claims to have documents that clear him and implicate other officials of top clubs. What if Milan gets implicated somehow? I'd rather have everyone forget about this mess and MOVE ON.

*sigh* Just when things are finally starting to go right for us, just when we're doing well in CL and closing in on the fourth spot, they pull this stunt with us again.

You been reading off Juventuz? they have been coming on here gathering evidence on how all of Calcio hates them by taking quotes of what we have said and posting them on there for others to read

On the contrary I believe Moggi has documents/proof involving Inter, but who will believe him after all what has happened and is still in progress of happening (GEA trial, ect), yup no one.
