Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic could make a shock return in the Champions League semi-final, second leg against AC Milan next week after recovering quicker than expected from a shoulder injury suffered in March. (The Sun)

England defender Rio Ferdinand, who was expected to be sidelined with a groin injury until the match against Chelsea on 9 May, is set to be available for Manchester United's match against AC Milan. (Daily Express)

Lads - get a grip on yourselves - I know you're all Milan nutters/fanatics but be sensible here...Utd's young and vibrant attack will cut your defence to shreds.The 3rd goal on Tuesday was so important that I believe it is what has won the semi final for the reds. Man U will go to Milan with no fear now and knowing that they put 3 past you last week.The fact that every match Utd have played in the last 6 weeks has been crucial reagrding the League/Cup and CL makes Utd a very very strong unit.

I actually think Kaka's 2nd goal was much much more important. That was the goal that threw the tie wide open.

Rooney's goal still doesn't change the fact that a 1-0 will be enough for us. Kaka's goal has put us in a very good position. I think Kaka's 2nd goal will come back to haunt Man U.

Day after the match I have a very important assignment to hand in, kinda screws me up i guess.

I know if we go through to the final, I will ace that assignment.

Our one worry if Oddo and Jankulovski are to get forward is protection at the back. Giggs and Ronaldo would terrorise from the wings. We obviously need to score, so I can see us bombing the LB and RB forward at some points during the match, but as a prolonged tactic I cannot see it. I do agree though that it is Pippo who should play.

i am a manchester united fan, i was at old trafford on tuesday and i have the upmost respect for your team and your fans.. i will be at your great stadium on wednesday hoping i will meet some of the great milan fans i met in manchester. you should all feel very proud of yourselves and your team you play great passing football and if you beat us on wednesday you will have an extra fan or 75,000 from manchester supporting you against against the boring chelsea or liverpool in the final. i doubt a roma fan will ever read this (possibly because they cant read) but they could learn alot from milan on and off the pitch.. good luck for the game

As for the most important goal...of course, all are important, but Kaka's second was the most important. That goal meant that if we score 2 at home, we're most likely going through - I don't see Man Utd scoring 2 goals at the San Siro. I am a Rossoneri, so of course I wish for Milan to progress, but that Rooney goal might just make the second leg more exciting from a neutrals standpoint. Had we secured a 2-2 draw, we would have been much more negative in the second leg. Now we must score, we can't rest on our laurels.

It's nice to hear the Milan fans behaved in a grown up fashion. All violent fans achieve in European Football is having their team banned from the competition. If Man Utd advances, I would want them to win it all, historically they have the most English/British players in the team, and they also look to spend their big money on English talent (Rio, Rooney £50m+ combined). I like that. I also admire how they are fighting on three fronts with a depleted squad.

at Old Trafford, before maldini and gattuso out, we could control the game and even lead 2-1
so..i think the line-up that ancelotti used at the first leg is the best one to face MU

If putting 3 past a team at home takes away all fear, then scoring 2 away from home is a bigger confidence boost.

Yeah, agreed with Mettaliam here, if Man Utd makes it to the final they have my full approval and whishes in beating either Chelsea or Liverpool. I can't stand Gerrard and Benitez on one side and Mourinho and Drogba on the other lol.

My favorite Man Utd player of the current Man Utd didn't play vs. us btw. I'll give you a hint : his brother plays in West Ham United (my favorite english team, I have one team I like per european country but there's only one team I support and that's Milan of course)
