Hello, my name is Edward and as you can see from my username I am a Liverpool supporter.
I have great respect for AC Milan and I always have done. My respect and LFC fans respect for Milan fans are more deep rooted because the first game after the hillborough disaster in europe was in Italy, where Milan were playing a league game and the fans started singing YNWA.

On a football level Milan have been my favourite italian team for a long time, starting from the 90's where you had the 3 dutchmen.

Anyway the 2005 final was amazing and I know you lot and the Milan team are going to be out for revenge and hopefully this time we won't give you a 3 goal head start!. I think its 50/50 personally.

You played some brilliant football tonight and Kaka is without a shadow of a doubt the best player in the world.

Why cant all fans be like this?

Both sets of supporters in Istanbul had great banter didn't they?. At least if we do lose we don't lose the big one to manure!. So in that respect I thank you!.

I think the midfield battle is key - that is obvious lol!, but there is great battles to look forward to. Will Rafa bring on an extra defensive mid to look after Kaka, like he did with Hamann in the 2nd half 2 years ago or does he go with just one?.

But if it was up to me I wouldn't do that because retention of the ball is key and Xabi and/or Mascherano are better in that respect.

I hope to see Gerrard in the middle though.

Kuyt

I think we have the better defence, I think the midfield is 50/50 and you have the better attack. Just IMO.

Another Liverpool fan here. Just want to say great performance tonight. Your leaving me a bit worried hopefully we will have a great final but hopefully we will win.


Hoping Kaka has a quiet game but he's a great player so he probably wont.

I don't think revenge enters the equation. It's simply two teams who deserve to be in the final battling it out in, which I'm sure will be the most closest and friendliest finals ever!

They will Probally Start to try and Pull our Defenders around, Gatta will get you.

Man U played like men? They lied down like dogs.

Italian football is famous for stifling play when the need suits. Athens will be a little like ali v frazier or something, whoops acropolis or a party in the parthenon. It'll be great, hope you can get there and we'll have an ouzo.

Another Liverpool fan here who is thrilled to not be playing Man Utd in the final. I feared for the fans had that happened. It could have been a disaster.

LOL, you didn't see the Barcelona and PSV games then????? Chelsea were a tough nut to crack but we did actually score two goals on the night and were the team who wanted to win it more. We weren't defending the whole game. That was just a tight game between two evenly matched teams. Bit like Milan v Juve in the 2003 final. And no awful defending like in the Milan v Man Utd games.
