Milan vs Palermo

Did we all forget we play Palermo on Sunday?

Not an easy match, even with our "thorn" Miccoli out..

Gila and Pato are tipped to start, and for those with access, the game will be live on FSC

i hope gila starts along with pato.......and jeff you are right..sounds perfect for that formation

yes we must win. last time when we play against Palermo we lost because of referee and good basketball move of amauri when he stop the ball with his hand.
So if i will be tomorrow of the pitch i will give my best and hit 4 goals.

With Clarence unavailable, we'll probably see the following formation.

Kalac; Oddo, Bonera, Kaladze, Jankulovski; Gattuso, Pirlo, Ambrosini; Kaka; Gilardino, Pato

Great formation which should (in theory) leave us as comfortable winners. I'd also like to see Gourcuff get a decent run with the REAL first squad. He only plays with Brocchi and Emerson and the like. Maybe 20 minutes at the end of this match ?

From that list, Gourcuff & Inzaghi/Gilardino would be the only attacking subs we'd have so you'd like to think the young Frenchman would get his chance.

Kakà needs to play to get in shape. I think Emerson may have a chance.

tonight I had a nightmare guys, I was looking at the Serie A league table and saw that Milan dropped back to #10... o_O
that was the scariest bs i've ever seen in a dream, plz Milan, win this game

My thoughts:

With the players available, we should indeed be comfortable against Palermo, though Amauri will trouble our defense with Nesta out I would imagine...

I look forward to seeing what the future of Milan´s attack should look like, with Gila, Kaka and Pato...and how, and if, we will cope without Clarence. Popular thought I am sure, is that it will result in a faster midfield transition into attack, and with Pato´s pace, I think I am more excited than worried.

Emerson? Not sure if I would want him to start, but if I am to be true to myself, should start on the bench, both form and fitness, or rather the lack thereof, are more than enough excuse for Andrea to start on the bench....Emerson, Abrosini, and Gattuso (and this combo is almost sure to play for a portion of the game) is a formidable defensive threesome, and hopefully can provide just enough attacking elan, to be able to make those elusive final passes that lead to genuine chances...while they are on the pitch...Finishing those chances, has to be clinical in this game, (even if a bundled ball can give us the three points... )

Gourcuff...this could be yet another opportunity for the youngster to start, but somehow I dont see it...

Wing backs....Oddo and Marek would be my picks...and maybe Carlo´s too...as I think Palermo will look to hit us on the break, so we will have to use width at some point to get in behind the defense.

I think this match can be the turning point in our domestic season, and I hope its for the better.

4-3-1-2, Marek and Oddo to start, and maybe Serginho somewhere in the midfield and two strikers, nice to see milan so attacking for a change!
