I guess the reason is that they are sharing first position in the table with Inter. i guess he thinks he has the perfect combo. Ranieri is Carlo type, he`d chose experience over youth any day. Nedved is irreplaceable in Juventus system due to his tactical awareness both offensively and defensively.

But Nedved is retiring next season, so No i dont think he`ll move cuz he will be his successor.

But Tony can give his personal/insiders/professional view on the issue.

^^ The other youngsters like De Ceglie get plenty minutes though while Giovinco struggles to even get a spot on the bench. This past weekend was the perfect time to play him as AdP etc were all being rested. Really don't know what's going on there but it's still early in the season.

I think Giovinco is having some problems negotiating an extension with Juventus so they are giving him some hard time to settle him down. That's why he doesn't get to play while other youngsters do.

Juan?

From goal.com

"Just The Juan For Milan And Inter

Roma defender Juan is being headhunted by Inter and Milan according to Il Giorno.

The Brazilian doesn't seem a part of Luciano Spalletti's plans this season and he has hardly played thus far.

The Milanese clubs have been unlucky in defence as a number of injuries have hampered the likes of Alessandro Nesta and Cristian Chivu.

Il Giorno claims Juan will move in January and a derby between Inter and Milan is expected over his signature. The stopper would be an ideal solution for both teams.

The defender has asked for a €2.5m per season deal, which would bring him on the same level as Phillipe Mexes. However, the club doesn't want to know and thus it seems as if his two year stay in the capital city is about to come to an abbrupt and sour end.

Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti are keeping their ears to the ground waiting for any further news so that they can make their moves in the new year.

It is unlikely that the Brazilian will stay at the Olimpico given Roma's refusal to accomodate his salary demands."

I'd like him to come here - he's not exactly young, but not old either. No EU-passport, though (as far as I know). Anyway, as he's Brazilian surely we'd beat Inter to get him?

its not only because of nedved..he has never used him,at least later on the games..and he has used all the others(marchioni too..)

i think its because he doesnt want to renew hes contract..or at least he wants a lot more than they're giving to him..and thats a really common way of pressure..

I'd definately take Juan, he was excellent for Roma last season. With Maldini set to retire and questions over Nesta's fitness now-a-days, someone solid like Juan would be perfect ... I'd still prefer Ivanovic & Zapata (no offence to Senderos but he can go back to Arsenal), but i doubt we'll get either.

It doesn't matter about his passport as he's coming from another Italian club. The Non-EU rule only applies to players who come in from outside Italy.

Juan is CLASS. He really is absolutely one of the best out there, and IMO he is the one that makes Mexes look better. He wanted to join Milan before he went to Roma, but we couldn't take him because we wanted to use our non-eu on Pato. I really admire the way he plays, it was kinda like the young Nesta.

Lyon reveal 100 million euro Benzema buyout clause

Lyon striker Karim Benzema has a buy-out clause of 100 million euros, club president Jean-Michel Aulas revealed on Tuesday.

I can agree that Juan is a great defender, but he is not as good as young Nesta Sorry man.

He's the right age for Ancelotti to play often... because Milan and Roma are on pretty good terms, I think that Juan has a bigger chance of coming to Milan.

There is a problem though. The guy has suffered numerous injuries... nothing very major, but enough to put him out of several games and hinder his full capabilities.

he is definately not young, but he's class. Wil be 30 this season, and on contract dispute his fee will be low. Would be a great signing, but i dunno if roma will let him walk midseason

I agree, I've always thought Juan was the better of the two, even though Mexès is getting all the plaudits.

http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=877880

im not sure abouy juan, although im sure hes better than any of our backs, except nesta of course..
although mexes is far better than him imo..mexes is on the top 4-5 cbs in the world the last couple of years..he really reminds me of cannavaro when he was younger,he has make some mistakes but thats because in every team he has played he always tries to be the fisrt man in ball..he would be the best choice(mexes-nesta!!!),of course its just a dream..
