MILAN-UDINESE: I CONVOCATI DI CARLO ANCELOTTI
20/12/2008

MILANELLO - Al termine della seduta di rifinitura, Carlo Ancelotti ha convocato 19 rossoneri per la sfida di domani contro l'Udinese:
Abbiati, Dida, Antonini, Darmian, Favalli, Jankulovski, Kaladze, Maldini, Cardacio, Pirlo, Strasser (51), Osuji (54), Inzaghi, Kakā, Pato, Seedorf, Shevchenko, Ronaldinho, Viudez.

Siregar maybe his LB performances have been so bad that they've affected my rating of him...but what teams did we play against with him as CB ? Anybody of note?

holy FECKLE!!! Only Pirlo, Cardacio, Seedorf as midfielders.... All of our DM's are out - Gattuso, Flamini, Ambrosini, Emerson!!!!!!!!!

Trick for this one is to score more than our opponents rather than focus on defending. I really hope that Carlo does not go for the 4-3-2-1 because IT WILL NOT WORK with no defensive midfielders. We must at least attempt the 4-2-3-1 (pirlo + cardacio being the 2, sheva being upfront followed by kaparo). If thats too risky then why not try 4-4-2, Seedorf/Pirlo in the mid, Kaka and D80 on each flank. There are so many ideas that Carlo could use but he will go for the one he always has picked unfortunately.

Against Siena, Napoli, Lecce and Chievo he played as starter in central defence. His partner was mostly Bonera. When Kaladze came to the team, he played aslo as CB with Kaladze and Bonera played as right fullback.

This year its very hard ti play worse then Kaladze. To be worse then him you need to make TWO goal mistakes per game, as Kaladze's stat is 1.5 vs Milan.

Favalinho did ok coz he had Rino-Flamini paired up in front of him, and with Pirlo back to DM Milan's midfield and defence aell apart completely. Palermo and Juve scored SEVEN goals past us... shamefull, really. Pathetic. Like we are...Albinoleffe.

Lets then just attack Udinese and do what we can, we have no classic DM's as Rino, Ambro, Flamini, Emerson are all out ( Carlo's going mad right now I think ). Lets play Pirlo, Marek, Seedorf, Kaka' and Dinho. There is no other way.

And better play Kaladze as LB then Favalli. But Calro will not do that.

Wow, Inter are a team of champions. They were drawing 1-1 to Siena, and Maicon scored in the 83rd minute. Compare their attitude to our pathetic team's. Sad really.

Siena were the much better team both goals came against run of play and the second was a huge mistake by the ref the goal was offside....but its all about inters mentality they dont stop till they win

You would normally be right Bosniaco, but not today. Siena was much much better then Inter in the second half. They pretty much dominated the game in the second half while they weren't bad in the first half as well as it was more even the the first 45. Inter was lucky to even get out of Siena with a single point, but as sad as it is an unbelieavable mistake was made by the linesman. It was a clear offside. It was so clear that even my girlfriend who knows nothing about football noticed that something was wrong. Maicon was well in front of the ball, about 2 meters in front and honestly, I really couldn't believe my eyes that the goal stood.

So in all fairness Inter has been solid and godd this year....but if we go with the quote "luck favours the brave" then Siena should have been awarded some luck as they were a lot braver then Inter in the way they played the game today.

In any case....what's done is done and we have to win our game with Udinese even moreso now as if we don't then all remaining hope will be gone even if we make some good acquisitions this winter and come back from Dubai in top shape.

I said it in the sense of Inter being brave the whole season. Dont get me worng I hate them, but I watch their games and Milan games and man I'm ashamed of Milan. Teams always seem to play better against Milan, beacause Milan always gives up early and Inter does not. Inter plays till the and. If Maicon did not play till the end today he would not have scored. Because he knew he was offside but he did not hear the whitsle and thats how you play in football.

By thw way tommorow. Abiatti, Antonini, Kaladze, MAldini, Favalli, Jankulovski, Pirlo, Roni, Seedorf, Kaka, Pato.

I also hate it. Everytime I open livescore to see the update scores I always see Inter win everytime and last game I went like this: Darn Maicon !!! Hope their performance will decrease after Christmas ^^

Anyway I pretty much shocking that we are without any DMs. How come I was always moaning about we have too many DMs and Carlo's fave was playing many of them at the same time, but now I miss those time Without any DMs I think Carlo should play 4-4-2. Well the best defense is offense right? And God, Kaladze and Favalli If they do playing at the same time I will get my nerves double than before ^^ And so far we cant combine R80-Pirlo-Seedorf at the same time. Doesnt work well. Good news is Kaka is coming back. One heavy burden seems like dissapear from my back ^^ I also currious with Strasser and Osuji. I forget if I already see them playing before or not. Would love to see Darmian playing as a starter.

And guess what, Carlo as usual saying the old same mighty story about the team that we dont need any moves at winter mercato. No defender, no midfielder

ON POSSIBLE PURCHASES DURING THE TRANSFER MARKET IN JANUARY
“I don’t expect any transfer market move, we are evaluating for the midfield department. With regards to the defence no one will arrive. A defender, even though not available yet, has already arrived.”

source: Carlo's press conference @ Milanello ^^

Inter scored from an offside ( 3 players ) position. But the fact I like about Merda ( "liked" ) is that Mourinho introduced two new players at the start of the second half ( second one came in 55th min.) and then Quaresma at 70th. He AGAIN went for it all and Inter went forward in numbers. Luckly for them they scored, but they will keep doing that untill they play aggressive football.

We lack running, and are not aggressive. Change to little to late etc. Scudetto race is open only if Milan starts playing aggressive and attacking football ( Milan vs Lazio game ).

I agree with two of the posts from above. Inter were very lucky yesterday the most they deserved is a tie but they really do fight more than we do.

One thing though they are not as hungry as Mancini years. They will choke in the CL and if we and juve give them a run they will crumble this year.

I only believe that Cambiaso and Zanetti bleed blue and black on that team but on ours on the field it only looks like Gattuso, we need our players to love the colors they play for then we will see a team that wins again.
