With Jankulovski being a left CM it will also help our poor and shaky left defence because as we know, even Jankulovski not a great left fullback, he has pretty good defensive skills. He also has the speed to return back (to help defence) after moving forward and the advantage of using him that (like GeoTav said) he runs a lot and his fitness supports this (a normal thing for fullback : being able to run a lot in a game).

A DM is needed if Ambrosini is still injury prone as we can't rely only on Flamini as our DM (we don't want to put Emerson as a DM, right?).
The one thing which you didn't mention (and I forgot to put it in my post game opinion) was that Janku did (and can do) very well switching to LB with Favalli, causing problems for Udinese. The first goal is a perfect example where Favalli was free to run forward and Janku slotted in at the back, where he sent a great pass from.

Dossena wants out, maybe he is an option... Or I always like Rafinha from Schalke but that probably dreaming
Antonini can also play at LB as well as RB. However, I agree it's probably not enough. I think if we don't get a new fullback, then our best option is having Bonera at RB (where I still believe he can do well if played with consistency there like last season) and Zambrotta at LB.

So far it is still an honour to wear the red and black of Milan. Galliani needs to stop recruiting players that only mid table seria A sides are intereted in.
It depends on how you view things. Considering it's the winter market I doubt anyone really sees us making any big signings, so most probably people are looking at players who can temporarily fill the gap so to speak. Next summer, I personally expect some very important signings to be made, and I doubt others will expect any less.

Im a bit late with comment guys, Its not Im here just when we are bad Im not an interista in disguise, hehe.

I was worried becouse of the way our team was constructed for he game ( Its not Carlo's fault, he had no players this time ). But it turned out that Milan really plays well when we attack teams with full power in San siro Lazio, Udinese, bologna 2nd half ).

Teams come to defend in the San siro, but we sit back deeply and let them take control of the middle, get comfortable and secure, and then Milan has problems.

Kaka', Dinho and PAto are not able to play alone up front so we had big rpoblems, especially with unfit Kaka' and Dinho so far.
But it this game we saw an attacking Milan that can dominate the field by pressing and passing game ( which is our best veapon and we dontz use it). Marek was especially dominant on his position and he plays much better as a midfielder, as he is a midfielder by nature.

Im not satisfied with the way Pirlo covered the pitch and with unvilingness to block the shots, same with Seedorf. But they were both unfit.

Ka'-Pa-Ro'- Pato showed he is one of the most complete young strikers in the world: movement, speed, dribbling, pass, both legs shot, heading, he has it all. But he needs more time and help from Milan to develop. Did you see how Dinho behaved when he needed to follow up the tempo of Kaka'-Pato counter attaking passes? Hahahaha, he almost died of running and couldnt catch up at all. But he is not fit yet.

Kaladze was again horrible, he was way off the touches, made horrible fould, I dont know...he is in horrible shape. Even San Siro didnt applaud him when he went out. Antonini is bad in 1 on 1 defending, and Maldini is still bale to defend everything when he is ready to run!!!

This is all nice, great game by Milan. But we need to forget about this way of football. Its better to play regulary 1:0 then to play good and then relax for 3 games...

Without a good CD in january we cannot play for the scudetto, this defence is not capable at all. And we have lost Gattuso, and need to replace his with GOOD player, not Miggilaccio etc.

Forza Milan!!

P.S.

About onr "new" LB that you say, we need to play Kaladze there. He is capable of doing that for sure. Behind Seedorf or Marek. And to insert one new good CBV, hopefully alongside NEsta. I hope you all see Marek doesnt know how to defend or play offside defence.

Opinion about certain players does seem to be very different from the usual posts. Keep it up!

I must say I find it hilarious that people were abusing Jankulovski before this match and opinion seems to have swayed a lot. In fact Favalli, Janku, Pirlo and Seedorf along with the christmas tree were all in 'doubt'.

Hopefully the debate on them won't pause after this inflated victory.

Yeah that's very true. The partnership between Jankulovski dan Favalli was very good in our last game. This is also the advantage of using Jankulovski as left CM. He can do some good job that Seedorf did in the past : helping the attack (by making a good teamwork with the fullback) and the defence. The weak point from him compare to Seedorf is that Jankulovski is not a creative midfielder (playmaker) but I have no doubt that Jankulovski will be better in left CM than Seedorf right now.

I have a question : Has Ambrosini played in right CM (Gattuso's position) before?

Yep mrki, I agree with you this time (about Janku) !!

Janku isn't good enough to be a LD in Milan: he doesn't know how to put players offside lol, he hasn't enough defensive skills to be decisive against guys who know how to dribble, etc ... but as a CM, he can do the job this year I think.
Originally, he was a LM who turned in LD for us, I don't think he ever played as a CM before the last game but it was impressive to see the difference between "Janku Juventus" and "Janku Udinese" ...

PS: I like the way it goes on this forum since some days/weeks ... a lot of very good posts, some jokes, it's a pleasure to read MM again !!

Im just telling the truth about performances, Im not gonna say nice things coz they sound nice...

People had doubts over Marek as LB, not as LM. To be fair, Marek is completely unable to defend headers on 2nd post, to play offside and he goes to block shots with his back turned to a player and the ball. He cant play well as LB. He is NOT a defender. Kaladze is a player that should play LB in Milan.

Favalinho is a player that plays well somtimes but still has nothing to do in AC Milan, while Pirlo still plays in such relaxed manner that its not polite towards his teammates somtimes. I will take the fact that he is not fit this season at all, so it will be a bonus for his bad form. But still, to be late for a block on 90% of distance shots is not acceptable.

Ah yeah, you are right. I forget that Ambrosini played there (right CM) when Seedorf was untouchable in left CM. Maybe his lack of performances (because of injuries) made me forget that he was a vice DM for Gattuso.

Btw thanks mate.

Great performance, but in the end of the day 3 points is 3 points, no matter the scoreline. Hopefully we start being consistent and pick up some wins on the trot, we can't afford any more slip ups now.
