One more thing. My claim in here is that Milan is losing much by playing Pato as a RW. It is obvious that Pato scored all of his goals as a classic forward, from classic forward's positions. More, to use him on a RIGHT wing is simply absurde.

Is it possible that Hernanes can play AM behind Pato and a CF. Or is he too slow for playing as an attacking AM that can play vertical? In my oppinion people dont even know what Pato can do as a classic second striker with a good Cf next to him. Pato still hasnt showed his all and Milan can gain SO MUCH from Pato playing as a CF.

kakacmilan, imo Renato Augusto is a good player. But as I wrote in the past, he was over hyped when was a Flamengo player still in Brazil for 2 reasons:
First, because he was a Flamengo player and a AMD, and there's always a hope for the next Zico.
Second, because at that time, playing for Fluminense, Marcelo(R. Madrid) at only 16yo, was shinning in Brazil.

So, the media in Rio(full of Flamenguistas), were trying hard to hype someone in Falmengo to be the counter part for Marcelo.

Renato Augusto is really good technically, but I never saw he take over a game. Not in Falmengo and nor in Brazil youth teams. A good player, but nothing more... Maybe he proves me wrong in the future, but until today, I keep my opinion.

Agree 100%.
I keep saying it all the time in MM, my friend... Milan is doing what some coaches did in Brazil NT and failed. Move all the pieces of a team to try to accommodate Ronaldinho.

The day Dunga wake up(after to loose a Olympics and be in 5º at WC Qualy), he dumped Ronaldinho and just equilibrating the midfield, Brazil won everything! Can't put all the blame on Leo, because he doesn't have another creative player on the squad(reliable). The day we sell Ronaldinho, and bring some promise or veteran(good) AMD, or team will be a much balance team.

Couldn't agree more(one more time)
Pato was a CF in Brazil, and was learning to play as a second striker in Europe. Not all CF's are big and strong... Now he's learning to play as RW to help Ronaldinho. ABSURD!!!

Regarding Hernanes, yep, I think he can play. But using video games ratings to clarify my point, as AMD, you will have a 8/10 Hernanes... But at his position, CM with freedom to go forward, you can have 10/10 Hernanes.

So, imo he can rotate there(AMD), but we better find a real AMD to play behind our 2 strikers.

As for him being slow to play vertical......after watching him yesterday against Santos (I hadn't seen him in months) he actually reminded me that compared to our midfielders, he looks like Usain Bolt.

Thanks, man... as you said, all we want is our team doing better and better.

It´s almost impossible to buy a great prospect from a Italian team right now. The price is too high for our budget. But it isn´t a excuse for to not make our team better... we just need to take better decisions.

Imo, if money is a problem, it´s better to take a Benfica aproach and buy 2 or 3 players to sell one in the future, than stay with this pathetic team...

Nothing... But lets wait until tomorrow, because yesterday Dunga called Brazil NT and the press only talk about it. The country is in abuzz!!!

Anyway, if I see something about this subject, don't worry that I will post here...

Brasileiro, what do you think about Santos? Are they capable of fighting for the tittle? They have Robinho and Neymar in forward (and also Andre) and Paulo Henrique Ganso behind them, but Robi will leave in september. I think that Neymar without Robinho looses part of his greatness. He's too immature - as a player - to carry Santos on the top of table. What I've seen is that he's terrible diver. Of course, he has got dribbling skills, but he seems to play his own game. Also often makes bad decisions in the pitch. According to the websites Santos recently turned out to be one of the candidate to the tittle, but it's very doubtful for me. :)

Man, this Santos team is really fun to watch. Even when they commit mistakes, and you think they throw away a good result, they manage to come back.

Also, they are kind of "innovators", because the only defensive players they have(besides the back four) is Arouca, a former(and very skilled) RMD turned into a holder. The other guy helping Arouca at defensive duties is Wesley, a former second-striker turned into a right back and DM. Also, they play with 2 attacking fullbacks... a crazy thing for our time. They manage to be more offensive than Barca and still win.

There were so much doubts when Robinho came back, because Santos was already playing great football, and people speculated Andre(less know and hyped) would be dropped... But as the coach said, they embraced "the cause", increased the work rate and as they showed against Gremio this week, can fight in any environment, even with more physical teams.

This teams is a joy to watch, and more important, being competitive.

Now I start to disagree, maslok... Robinho is really important to Santos, but before his arrival, Santos already was playing amazing football and killing teams, with Neymar and Ganso as protagonists. I never hide the fact of to be a big fan of Robinho, but the secret of Santos success was Robinho aproach: He came to the team and accept to be a "support actor"...

Sure to lose a player like Robinho hurt any team, but the one running the show at Santos attack nowadays is Neymar, not Robinho. Plus, Neymar has the best finish ability of the team, the guy has a CF finish skills, and when the ball arrive to his feet, he finish the game.
Quote:

He dives, but nothing to be label "terrible diver". Only in the Paulista's final he was diving a lot, and I agree it was terrible, but in the others games I didn't saw this behavior.

Of course, he has got dribbling skills, but he seems to play his own game. Also often makes bad decisions in the pitch.
Also, completely disagree with you regarding play his own game. For to play his own game, he needed to have a Messi our Robben style, and Neymar is far from that. His game is based on quick pass, one-two(called here, Tabela) and speed. He doesn't hold onto the ball to make things happens, even because his thin body would not allow this style of play.

Regarding bad decisions, for a 18yo, imo he's a very good decision taker if you ask me. It's a thing hard to prove because any player can be bad or good on it... It's all on the eyes of the ones watching it. But his numbers, and the way Santos attack flow with him on the pitch, makes a label of bad decision taker hard to agree.

Look, a respect your opinion, but for the type of criticism you throw at Neymar, I tend to believe you watched Paulistão finals, where he showed theses problems you wrote(mostly diving). As I said, it's all about opinions, but I strongly disagree with you on this Neymar subject

Brasileirão is by far the most balanced championship in the world. It's really hard to chose a favorite, because theŕe 10 or 12 teams with chance to win... every year!!!

Also, we need to wait until Europa's august window is closed, to see the departures and arrivals at Brasileirão. But after the way Santos played at Grêmio's stadium, with that hostile environment and physical team, they, at least for me, are the team to beat in Brasileirão.

Mario Fernades(CB, RB, DM and maybe LB from Grêmio):
http://www.gremio.net/player/view.as...ge=0&i=plantel
Since last year I hear great things about him. He really stood out when I saw him playing(mostly RB) last season, but despite the fact it was on Brasileirão(high level) I never saw him facing dangerous opponent until the last game of the season, against Flamengo in Maracanã.

That said, this past week he faced the most dangerous team in Brazil(Santos), and I was curious to see how he could handle Neymar, Robinho and Ganso attacking his side in such a BIG game. Mario played as CB(in a 3 man defense) the first 30 minutes, and after Santos scored twice, Sillas(Grêmio coach) changed scheme switching Mario to RB and the RW to LB.

Neymar didn't play, but Robinho, André, Ganso and Léo(LB) attacking your side all the time isn't easy handle, but the boy did a amazing job and really impressed me with his display. I can't remember of him losing a one-one with Robinho, Ganso, André and Léo. Sure he must have lose, but I can't remember and thats imo is a good thing for a defender. To be honest Robinho goal came from his side, so he must have some guilty, but in the one-ones he was REAAAALLY impressive!

Also, and for my surprise, really good bombing forward. Toyed with Leo every time he tried. Thats lead me to a Ivanovic(Chelsea) comparison, because like the last one, he's very underrated as a offensive fullback. Maybe is because I know he has a Italian passport, but he has that way of play of the Italians defenders. The guy give it all on the field, but without to be violent.

I will watch Mario Fernades more this week, but one thing I found strange. He is listed as 6-2, but some times appears to be shorter. Maybe it was just a question of angle, but I want to look at it more. And Santos Stadium(small) will give me a better feeling.

But don't get me wrong, this boy it's a serious player, and is showing it for 2 years in professional football, and against great competition. Plus, has Italian passport and a team didn't ask for huge money. Theres a word Benfica is trying to purchase Mario if David Luiz will be negotiated.

Now, thats a amazing young player that is in our budget, with Italian passport that we can afford to lose to a Benfica team(no offense). Plus he give us versatility as he can play(and very good) any position on the back four.

Brasiliero, please in your honest opinion, can you rank these players from which ones you think will be the best players in a few years?

Ganso (this player in a little more detail because we are being linked with him), Robinho, Neymar, Mario Fernandes, Hernanes, Toloi, Otuamendi (spelling?)
