I live in Manchester and have been to a few Man Utd games and watch their games every week on TV and I have to say RVN is still a very good player! This season he has been suffering from a lack of confidence, and also a lack of adequate chances because the midfield has been very poor. The only reason Man Utd finished 2nd was because of two reasons:
1. They got knocked out of Champions League and FA Cup and were able to concentrate on the league. 2. Wayne Rooney. His stats for this season are 47 Apps in all comps, 8 as sub, and has scored 24 goals. Not bad for someone considered to be having an average season. However I must state if you are looking to buy him as a replacement for Sheva then stop right now! Although RVN tries extremely hard outside the box to get the ball from the opposition he is not the type of player to dribble towards defenders and scare them. Give him crosses in the box and he will guarantee you goals. When Beckham left for Real Madrid, RVN has not been the same because there is no one providing consistant, accurate crosses for him and he has had to mainly rely on scraps. He still a great player and it's rumoured Man Utd will accept offers around £8 Million. |
