Game dates; confirmed and un-confirmed

I am thinking of travelling to Milan for a game and was wondering what are the chances of proposed dates for games actually ending up as the confirmed date?

If I bought a ticket and the date was changed afterward, would I still be able to use that ticket or would I have to change it?

Thanks for all help.
