Gerrard cant win it, the only tournament he and his team excelled in was the CL, where Kaka outperformed him and Milan beat Liverpool too.
![]() C.Ronaldo is more of a contender because (and dont slate me for this) Utd did have a better season than Milan overall. League champions, FA Cup finalists and CL semi finalists is a more complete package. If Utd had lost to Chelsea or Liverpool in the other semi and there hadnt been a direct clash between Ronaldo and Kaka then i would say Ronaldo would be possibly favourite, but because Utd did play Milan it gives everyone an easy way to compare the 2 players over 2 matches. Obviously over those 2 games Kaka came out on top so he will be favourite over Ronaldo. ![]() Ruud Dog could have been a big challenger if Real had done better in europe. He'll also lose out on individual attention because Reals title challenge was a good collective effort. The Beckham factor will hurt him too, whilst Ruud was scoring at over a goal a game in the crucial end of season games all the attention was on Beckhams imminent LA adventure and whether or not he could end his Real career with a medal ![]() Totti won the golden boot but again it is domestic success so wont count for as much. He will also quite unfairly suffer because of Romas disastrous European demise, even though its hardly his fault they conceded so many goals ![]() The dark horse is Drogba, this will be considered blasphemy here but imho he was unplayable for defences at least as much as Kaka last season, with no fit attacking midfielders all season and a misfiring Sheva it was left to him to drag Chelsea along all season and i dont think any of the others mentioned could've done as well as he did in those circumstances. So, my personal ratings are: Drogba Kaka C.Ronaldo Ruud Totti Gerrard And FIFA's will be: Kaka C.Ronaldo Ronaldinho Zidane Figo Lampard ![]()
