Stars in team

Is there any thread before which list any of players considered as a star in a team ?
for example :
Milan : Kaka, Nesta, Pirlo, Gattuso, Ronaldo?
Barca : Ronaldinho, Messi, Henry, Eto'o, Zambrotta

I know football is not just about stars, but it might become a parameter for us to value the team we have.
