Guys - stop living in a dream world. You will not get a "deal" when looking for a Sheva replacement. We are not going to get a player who is better than Sheva or even his equal. We will get a very good player and he will be expensive because we are not going to gamble on a future star or someone who is average to replace Sheva.
Look at Man Utd....they don't want RVN but are asking close to 35 million euros for him.

Truth is, no one can replace Sheva. But, there are players who are better than Sheva. Such as Ronaldinho, Adraino, Henry.... My point is, nobody can replace anybody, get it.
Back to the topic. I am very glad Berlu is coming back and I bet that it is no concidence that Milan is no longer the most dominating team when Berlu began running for office. Now that he is done with his political world, Milan will sure the be biggest and baddest bully in Football world again. Heck, Berlu might even pay 60M for Ronaldinho, just to grab the spotlight again. Forget about Diarra and Gallas, since after June 15, Berlu will go after Gerrard and Cannavaro. Oddo will sure come, who cares if Milan pay 10m for him, since as long as he performs and helps Milan win trophies, CL, Series A and Ita Cup, it is 10m well spent. So Seedorf and maybe Vogel wants to leave, then go, that would only make rooms for Berlu to spend, how about De Rossi and Snejider with Viera. Hey we also need wingers too, maybe Robben or Duff, then again, Berlu loves Italian players playing for Milan, so why go for those two when he can go after Zambrotta. So for my Milan Squad 06-07 Dida Nesta-Cannavaro-Maldini Oddo Zambrotta Gerrard - Viera Kaka Ronaldinho Gilardino Bench: Pippo Snejider Janku Pirlo Gattuso Ambro De Rossi You never know, since Berlu is back and he is back for good. For all those that is going to tell me stop playing CM, well, I play Winning Eleven hahahaha For real, I think Berlu will put out a great team next year |

Galliani said he will start bringing in players after Berlu is back as president, which is June 15. He also said that we will replace Sheva with someone equal to him. Lets see what happens, and lets hope Uncle Silvio gives us nice gifts on his return to Milan.
I have a feeling that we will use the money that Atletico owes us to get Torres. I really dont think Torres is the right solution. I hope he doesnt come this way. One player I think we might get from them is Perea, but one player I hope we get is Sergio Aguero. A million times better than Gourcouff and tons more of potential. Another note, Mertesacker (sp) has had MAGNIFICENT games in CB for Germany in the last few friendlies. 2 months ago, reports said that we struck a pre-contract agreement with him. He's 21 yrs old and he's German. Watch him out at WC. Last edited by hitmannq8; 03-06-2006 at 02:18. |

i think David suazo is our best hope atm.... History repeats itself... We lost Van basten and got weah... we lose sheva and Suazo is like Weah...
We should get Foggia back, he is mustard..... Oddo is a must this summer, he can play both left and right back, plus with the homegrown uefa thing he will be useful. We should try and get Buffon, Dida has just been too unreliable.. We could use Abbiati as part deal. I for one would prefer De Rossi over Diarra and Gerrard, if he is going to be the next best thing in Italy, it would be even better if we had him! Im confused with the whole Gallas deal, to me Gallas is the best person to replace stam, a player who is a cm /rb/Lb. If we dont get him are we going for another CB (Barzagli, Canini), or a LB/RB? (Zambrotta) Alot of transfers depend on Ifs, if juve and fio go down, we could try and get Toni or Ibrahimovic..... |

Nice Interview by Galliani: During the second day of the Workshop in Sardinia, Adriano Galliani this time spoke to the journalists about football matters and the chief executive outlined the strategy for next season, the relationship with Carlo Ancelotti and Silvio Berlusconi's return as president. KAKA' QUESTION. On reports that Real Madrid were interested in signing Kakŕ, Galliani said: 'There doesn't seem to have been any contact with the player, but we need to verify that. Anyway, it's an honour that a certain type of club admire our players. I have to say that it's easy to buy a player for 40-50 million euro and it looks good: it's another thing to bring in a 19-year-old lad into the team when you have Rui Costa and Rivaldo, and then manage to bring him along in a short time. This is the sort of thing that gives you a lift, the beautiful thing about football.' PLAYERS RETURNING. Looking ahead to next season, a number of players out on loan could come back: 'Abbiati, Borriello and Foggia are 100% Milan. The players who want to return will probably return, Forentina have not held Brocchi. Some will stay, others will go on loan while we have more players coming through the youth ranks. If next season two go (we have Maldini and Costacurta) then the following three and then four go, I have compiled a list for the upcoming years.' THE GOALKEEPERS: 'We have five in fact: Dida, Kalac, Fiori, Abbiati and Coppola. The Brazilian is without doubt confirmed, two from the other four will be.' THE DEFENCE: 'Cafu is staying, he's in good shape as always. Dario Simic is another element we want to keep ... he'll stay if his wife is happy in Milan! I have requested Oddo but Lotito came back with an incredible reply so I won't follow that up. I don't intend to annoy other clubs by naming players as Real Madrid have. We will report any club making an approach to FIFA. Gallas has a contract with Chelsea and they know that we will respect that, if he doesn't renew it we will be free and can decide on his future.' THE ATTACK. With Shevchenko leaving for Chelsea, Galliani said: 'This is the third year the London club have asked for him and we have always said no, but this time the player asked. We aren't doing badly in attack: we have Inzaghi, Amoroso and Gilardino, we are confident in them all. Pasquale Foggia is one of our players and we are negotiating for Gourcuff. We have a good relationship with Rennes. Shevchenko will be replaced but we won't bring in a big name because it mightn't work.' THE NUMBER 10. The question of who will wear the number 10 shirt after Manuel Rui Costa left has been resolved, with Clarence Seedorf taking it: 'When Rui left Milan, I called Clarence and asked him if he would wear the 10 shirt. I had no problems with him saying yes, which also proves that Clarence will not leave Milan.' TRANSFER MARKET. It is a delicate time as Galliani admitted: ''Drogba and Van Nistelrooy are two main attackers so they can't substitute Shevchenko. I said no about Ronaldo as it's not possible to win over a Real player while the real dream was Henry who decided to stay at Arsenal. I tried after the Champions League when I saw the tears of his fans. I want him because of what he does as a player, but he's not available anymore.' At the end of the interview, Galliani confirmed that Juventus would be the opposition once again for the L. Berlusconi trophy.

from channel4:
Galliani: 'Henry wanted Milan' Saturday 3 June, 2006 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Milan chief Adriano Galliani outlined their transfer policy, aimed another sideswipe at Real Madrid and Chelsea, then revealed Thierry Henry talks. “Our dream was to bring Henry to San Siro. I can say he certainly would’ve joined us had he not decided to stay with Arsenal,” announced the Rossoneri vice-President. “Milan are a buying club, not a selling one, and we want to remain at the top of the European tree.” Henry had been linked with both Barcelona and Milan ahead of the Champions League Final, but it’s believed the loss convinced him to extend his contract with the Gunners instead. Following Andriy Shevchenko’s Ł30m move to Chelsea, the media around Europe has gone into overdrive trying to identify who’ll come in – and who might go out. “Shevchenko will be replaced by someone worthy of him, but we won’t sign a big star unless he’s useful to the side. Didier Drogba and Ruud Van Nistelrooy are centre-forwards, so they wouldn’t substitute Shevchenko in the system. I say no to Ronaldo, as it’s impossible to get close to a Real Madrid player without getting bled dry.” “We aren’t in a bad way upfront,” continued Galliani. “There’s Pippo Inzaghi, Marcio Amoroso and above all Alberto Gilardino, who has our faith for the future. Pasquale Foggia will return from his loan spell at Ascoli and will stay at San Siro, while we’re in advanced negotiations for Yoann Gourcuff after entering very productive talks with Rennes.” Galliani did everything possible to make Shevchenko’s move to Chelsea smooth, but aimed a few pointed comments in his direction after the Ukrainian insisted he made the switch to appease his American wife. “Dario Simic is an important player for our defence and he will stay… seeing as his wife is happy to remain in Milan.” There is also a very bitter row brewing between the Rossoneri and Real Madrid, after Presidential candidate Ramon Calderon announced plans to fly to Switzerland this week to ‘get to know Kaka.’ “I requested Massimo Oddo, but Lazio said he was not for sale and I respect that decision. I have no intention of irritating clubs that make their intentions clear, unlike for example Real Madrid’s strategy,” added Galliani. “William Gallas is a similar issue, as he has another year left to run on his contract and Chelsea have told us they intend to make him respect that. If no renewal is agreed, he’ll be free to evaluate his future next season.” Milan are eager to play down the idea that Shevchenko’s departure has weakened the side and insist nobody will be following him out of the club. “Clarence Seedorf rang me to ask if he could inherit Manuel Rui Costa’s Number 10 jersey, so this shows you he has no intention of leaving Milan. Christian Abbiati, Marco Borriello and Foggia are our players, while Fiorentina have not taken their option on Cristian Brocchi and he wants to come back. Some of this group will be loaned out, but definitely not sold.” |
