Gourcuff never said all these things, he's the contrary of people speaking like that !! He's a very reserved and shy person, so you'll never hear him saying such stupid things !!

People who said that were our management and Italian medias when he came to Milan whereas he didn't play one match for us yet !!

PS: I'm not a Gourcuff fan, but when such things are said about players and are wrong, it has to be said, anyway, I hope we will let him going, in loan (if we think he can improve and be our player again someday) or sold (if we think we'll never use him) or given for another player (other choice to get another player).

I agree with you If you look at the chances players like Gila, Favali, Oddo get after a lot of min played compared to Gorky playing only a half or less at a time..

I don't know if it's official yet, but only 3 teams from Spain, Italy and England will play CL from season 2009/2010.

With stronger Fiorentina and stronger Milan (not to forget Napoli who are investing a lot and already have a very good starting XI) it won't be as easy for Inter, Juve and Roma to get one of top 3 places, like they did this year.

I think Roma will be the team that will start falling. They had their chance and now they can only go down. Totti is getting injured a lot, he'll be 33 next season and they don't invest in new players.

Umh, yes, I know that will be done someday, but I'm not sure it is so early ? Anyway, I often forget that when we speak about 2010, it's just, not next season, but the following one lol.

This rule about clubs in CL is sad for Italy (now that Juv has come back) and England who often had 2-3 good clubs in CL + 1 excellent or very good, for Spain, it's not a problem, there are 2 big clubs, and some average ones turning (Valencia had its period in CL, La Corogne too, Villareal too, Sevilla won't play it again next year, Villareal is coming back, Atletico Madrid is taking a place, etc, except Barcelona and Real, you never know what other club will play in CL).
Anyway, that will increase UEFA Cup level: if you always have a big club from Spain, England and Italy, it will be funnier.

For Roma, I'm not able to tell if I agree or disagree, they're strong but are able sometimes to lose matches they would have to win easily ... the reason why I wrote that about Juventus is that they never impressed me during this season, they are efficient but Trezeguet will be older, Iaquinta seems to go, Del Piero will be older too, Nedved too, and they don't have a W-C defense like they had with Thuram-Cannavaro for example. And when you look at rumours about their new players, there's no W-C players (Amauri isn't for me). I may be wrong and could have to say next year "I was wrong, Juventus is very strong", but I don't feel it like this, they don't seem to have a real kind of play.

When Gourcuff first came he looked like a pure footballer and it was really exciting to see him keep it simple with his freeflowing pass and move style. But now, he has become a player who only passes side ways. Im still a big supporter of Ancelotti, but he really needs to learn how to hone talent more and trust it. We saw the last few games of the season where he opted for experience over Pato. In the last game Pato came on and made the difference. Hopefully, Ancelotti will trust in him more now. Gourcuff is not with out blaime though as he needs to realise his potential.

I think we need to keep faith in him and loan him out to re-learn his playing style and become the Seedorf replacement we need him to be. I like him because, before his decline, he was pro active with the ball, plenty of movement and quite agressive and willing to chase opponents although not a DM. Plus his Dad is a Manager in France so he has a great teacher even at home (Or on the phone). Finally, despite being treated a little harshly at times he has never once disrespected Ancelotti or Milan.

I really hope to see Milan loan him to another Seria A team so he can learn to impose himself more. Afterall, he wont be the first player to fail at Milan. Lets not risk having another Patrick Viera situation on our hands.

Tony, nope your conception of that rule is incorrect. Platini mentioned that the top 3 will automatically qualify to the CL and the fourth spot will be to the qualifiers..but it is not yet official. That's just an idea, just like his other idea (IMO a fantastic idea) to give a CL spot to the Coppa winners. Will improve competition and increase hope for the cup teams such as Napoli and Milan.

And GeoTav, I agree with Tony. No way Juve will not fight for the scudetto, I thought Roma would be falling apart this year but they really impressed me to get all these points, and I also never expected them to beat Real. They are just going through a great moment, I really cannot see them challenging next year, I think it will be Milan/Inter/Juve again, and maybe Roma/Fiorentina could be surprises and end somewhere up there. Napoli still need another season IMO, I cant see them doing well. I expect Lazio to have a good season just because they always had one good season followed by a bad one and then a good one again.

Milan is to send paloschi on loan next season.

I really hope Milan will concentrate on UEFA and Series A next season, b/c that way Milan will have a chance to play CL champ for next year for the SUPERCUP. Then if Milan win the SUPERCUP, we can claim that we would have won CL if we were in it.

I doubt he would start for us and he certainly won't be the player to make us much better. He's got talent, but that doesn't mean he'll meet expectations in his career, as we've seen many fail (especially Argentines). I personally thought he'd be a decent addition when I first saw him, simply because he has potential to develop into a great player. However, I have my doubts on his personality and lifestyle, which I think could hold back his career at this point.

I think all of the above have pros and cons.

On paper Drogba has everything he needs to be a great target-man in serie-a. However, I don't think he has the mentality. He is too hot-headed, the UCL Final proved that once again.I've also seen him argue with Michael Ballack in a match over who would take a free-kick. Do we want that sort of personality at Milan?

Eto no doubt would score goals but isn't a target-man. He lacks the height up-front and at set-pieces that we really need.

Adebayor also has everything a target-man needs to succeed in serie-a but also isn't the best team player. When he came on as sub in a league game, he kept telling Bendtner he was on the field because Bendtner was playing ****. Again how does that build team spirit and morale?

Amauri would score goals in serie-a for us, perhaps not as frequently as we might need him to. In UEFA or when we get to UCL in 2009/2010 he might struggle which would take us back to square one.

If I had to choose out of them I would probably want Eto or Adebayor because they are younger than Drogba and better than Amauri.
