I keep reading about these rumors that Milan wrote up the framework for a Kaka move to Chelsea for next season as part of their Sheva negotiations. I can't see that happening. Kaka may end up in Chelsea next year, but in no way did Kaka come up during the Sheva talks. I'm guessing the secretive nature of the negotiations comes from Berlu deciding to spend money out of his own pocket to bring Sheva back. Chelsea were desperate to get rid of him and so agreed to keep things hush hush.

Ok so my assessment of this mercato:

Some very good moves (R10, Flamini, Zambrotta)

Some ok moves (Boriello, Cardacio, Viudez, Senderos)

Some poor moves ($heva, and possibly Senderos, no GK, no physically imposing CF/Striker)

All in all, enough to almost guarantee a top 4 finish IMO, but it will take all of Carlo´s ingenuity to get silverware with these additions, especially where we have our competition also strengthening.

Still not satisfied completely, as the Senderos and $heva purchases for me were not the best available, but as with most things, only time will tell.

FORZA MILAN!! Lets see what this mercato will bring for us this term.

Great post Warro (Congrats on switching to sugar free Kool-Aid )

What bothers me is that the Arsenal fans are HAPPY about Senderos going and those that aren't are upset simply because of the squad size and not the loss of quality.

Personally I like Senderos but in truth I haven't been watching him closely this season at all and I'm guessing there must be something behind his being so malinged by the gunners. The same thing we did with Grimi....he was strongly disliked by the Racing Santander fans and hever even got the chance to do anything much with us (other than pick up a CL medal )

Poor Carlo, he must be after hearing the news

Yeah, poor Carlo. He is given strange players by boards!

Thus far Carlo has been interested in/asked for:
Totti
Ribery
Toni
Trez
RVN
Gallas

He has made negative comments or shown his dislike for:
Sheva
Ronaldinho

Thus far we have gotten the two players that he doesn't want and haven't gotten most of the important players that he DID want.

Guys I think Senderos can prove him self this season.

Truth is I never really had a problem with the guy, but the PL and Arsenal was too paced for him, he will suit Seria A. He's young, talented and when on form can be a tank - the only bad side to him is his confidence against tough strikers, for those who don't know what i mean just watch every game arsenal played chelski and how Drogba owned him.

Sanderos' move to Milan (if the news is true) is really unbelieveble for me. Carlo wants CD better than he has but he probably get only Sanderos which is the replacement for Simic (well, Diagao is more suitable, both are big posture).

I really can't understand what makes boards are soooooo sure that nothing wrong with the defence!

You can imagine how Carlo feels when his requests are nearly always ignored and he ends up getting players that he doesn't want or don't fit into his system.

Yeah, to probably make him walk out so they don't have to fire him.

3 saummers of Carlo testing have passed now, still no results from the puppy... They can buy him a woman player he would say: " ok, we are fine."

Senderos is not good enough for Milan first 11.

Senderos is a great defeneder, you will see...
I haven't seen so much whiney little bitching on this board in quite a while...
When did Ancelotti say that he doesn't like Sheva or Ronnie? He said a long time ago that they may not be the players milan currently need, but he was really happy when Ronnie came and we are yet to see his reception of Sheva...

you, "Milan fans" make me sick... Show me an excellent 23 year old central defender, will you? Senderos is a perfect starting material, he will be the next Stam for Milan...
Sheva perhaps will not be the greatest again, but he will help Milan, of that I am certain.. Last season we had a problem with toothless attack. If Sheva and Ronnie aren't improvements, then I don't know what the **** do you expect...

I have never been so disappointed with this discussion board before. MilanMania has always been a plan for family like atmosphere, and calm mature discussion, but I haven't seen tha for over half a year now. Even the mods now allow themselves to bash the team that wasn't even put to a test yet! HALF of our signings didn't play in the summer friendliess..
What makes this all even worse is that you will easily get away with this attitude. If Milan wins - you will be like wiiii.. hooray, great players awesome coach! if not - you will go onto eternal "i told you" rant...

milanmania isn't the same anymore, what a shame
