Life Without Seedorf!!

I remembered people began to worry about how we would do when Seedorf got injured and will be playing Atalanta.

Then, we beat them even though our defense played like crap.

And now, we won 5-1 without Seedorf again.

IF thats does not show the MGT we don't need Seedorf, I don't know what would.

Ah but if you think like the management it would be:

"We won 5-1! Imagine if we had Seedorf, it could have been 7 or even 8-1"

Seedorf is a technically gifted player and could still be useful in a proper squad rotation role with some good young blood and play him in the big games when he's fully fresh. However, he probably wouldn't accept that role so you do have to question his overall usefulness to us now.

seedorf can stay but he needs to accept a different role. He is underperforming in most league games, I would give him minutes here and there but if he's in fine form he would be a massive player for the big games. He is truly a big game player! He always is excellent in CL games. Look at what man utd is doing with scholes and giggs...

I think now Seedorf may well be willing to accept more rotation if I'm honest. His greatest form at Milan was probably in the 2007 CL run where he was incredible every week and in all honesty, he was getting regular rest back then and didn't complain at all. A week or two ago, he also said outright that he's being overworked this season and it's taking it's toll, so I don't see why he wouldn't accept a more reserved role in the squad and be utilised to his best.

For me he is not actually underperforming, he is only having a fast decline with his motivation (or desire or what ever you say it) to play. If he really wants to play, he is still a very good player. He is a smart player with respect of tactic and strategy knowledge and Ancelotti likes very much kind of these players even they only walk on the fild.

If Carlo stays, he is the first one to be sold IMO.

One thing for sure i think, if Carletto forced seedorf to play his old role (beside pirlo in 3 midfielder pattern) then he would never be playing good. He cant run and press as much as what it takes to play in that kind of position.

His more suitable pos. today is trequarista and we have kaka already. playing him along with kaka, and with pato upfront i think we're sacrificing 1 spot to be more offensively

If Carlo out, then he will be the 1st one to be dropped by new coach

Come on Trequarista was never Seedorf's place. he just can't run, chase the ball any more. he cant do what he used to do 3 or 4 years ago. its time for him to understand that to keep his place in Milan he is best used as a sub and as a starter every 3 games thats when his fitness serves him best. and that when we can get the best out of his fitness and motivations.

that's the point !
he cant play any good as trequarista alone. that's why i said seedorf need another trequarista side to side to play along (people like kaka) cause he's not good enough to run and press due to physical factor these days.
And if we play with 2 trequarista then we lost 1 spot for another attacking role which i suggest has belong to a target man regarding we plot Pato as a support striker who play all around upfront.

simply i agree with you that seedorf not included in starting XI plan next season.

In an interview a year or two ago, Seedorf said that the only reason he's willing to play as LM and not as a trequartista which is his favorite position, is because Milan has Kaka, and he simply accepts the fact that Kaka is better than him. Right now, we don't have many players with the same flair and creativity with them.

Most of midfielders are of defensive ilk, the closest examples to Kaka and Seedorf are Pirlo (who has settled as a deep playmaker) and Dinho (who is inconsistent and lately is being criticized by Carletto for not working hard enough).

So unless, we have player(s) good enough to convince Carletto, then it's almost impossible to expect Seedorf is willing to sit on the bench

Seedorf should be given his old # 20 and should be requested to grow his hair longer. Many that would make him the old Seedorf.

So..Milan became Seedorf's hostage.
I always thought players were meant to serve to the club and not the other way around

Have ALL of you forgotten that Clarence Seedorf was a central midfielder his WHOLE career and is now, in the end, when he cant cover it up anymore, pretending to be an AM??

It all started when Seedorf realised he cant interpret CM role anymore. He didnt have any problems playing when he came to Milan?? With Rui and TWO CF in front of him? Or in inter, Madrid and Ajax? And now he is, at the age of 33(?) suddenly a destined AM?

That is laughable. Sedorf plays AM as he cant play cm role anymore due to his age and bad fitness shape. He is a man who plays pro footabll since he was 16/17 in Ajax. He is a wasted organism that cannot play at highest tempo anymore. Back when Milan was winning CL last time he played AM between Kaka' and Ambrosini, Pirlo, Gattuso and he needed 2 games in serie a OFF for training to be ready for 90 min of top tempo ( Bayern, United both games and the final).

So go figure out why Seedorf "has always wanted to play as an AM"...

mrki,

Seedorf was a CM ONLY at some point in Ajax, and Sampdoria... then he was an AM for the rest of his carrerr (remember Real Madrid, under Capello, actually even got #10)... and Inter and Milan...

Bad fitness? Have you seen the guy? you and I, and surely a good % of professional players wish they could be in his shape... the guy is even forbidden to do some leg exercises as his muscles are already big enough...

Just because he doesn't "float" when he runs like Kaka' or Pato do, doesn't mean he doesn't run... he's well positioned, something experience and intelligence allow him to do, so he doesn't have to sprint up and down the field... he's always near the ball, even to relief the fast guys when they have the ball...

Seedorf is not fit for past 3 years now. Only for few games in a year he is in complete shape.

-----Pirlo-----
-Rino---Seedorf-
-----Rui---
--Pippo-Sheva--

that is milan 2002/2003

i remember when he was in madrid under capello era, seedorf played right midfield role. madrid played something like this :

---------Suker-------Pedja---------

-----------------Raul----------------

----Karembeau---------Seedorf----

---------------Redondo-------------

or like this :

---------Suker---------Pedja-------

Raul-Karembeau-Redondo-Seedorf

or easier thing to remembered, have you seen his fantastic goal in madrid from right side of midfield when he struck the ball fastly (not only lobbed the ball) ?

[quote=SANT]Bad fitness? Have you seen the guy? you and I, and surely a good % of professional players wish they could be in his shape... the guy is even forbidden to do some leg exercises as his muscles are already big enough...[quote=SANT]

his muscle is great. thats why he can keep the ball on his feet safely while charging with opponent though he just walked or run slowly. Just a few players who can kept the ball on his possession while he just moved 7x7 meter wide on pitch.
bad fitness what i thought here is he cant (or seemed unwilling) to run forward fastly as he's plot as AM which is mean 1 of 3 our most upfront player on pitch when offend. then with 2 AM means carletto mostly used 2 DM beside pirlo (before beckham came and Flamin always benched). No one support those 3 upfront when we manage to counter attack where the 2 DM always been late and pirlo stay static on his pos.
that why we always see there's big space separate attack line & midfield.

comparing seedorf nowadays with kaka or pato in run term is totally unequal. Just the old seedorf and i will be pleased and team will performed.
Intelligence ? i fully agreed with you mate. Sometimes i think like he used his intelligence more than his skill & strength on pitch
