Sacchi is finally senile
yah, a has been (Figo), a defender that Real got rid off because he didn't perform nearly as well as he did at Roma (Samuel) and Solari (an overrated striker) is gonna change Inter's fortunes.... If those guys were so damn good, why didn't Sacchi keep them at Real? I guess he was just trying to make inter feel like they actually got decent players. as always, inter will end the season
--- Sacchi sees Real Inter Scudetto Sunday 7 August, 2005 Arrigo Sacchi believes that the influx of three former Real Madrid stars, including Luis Figo, will help Inter to the Scudetto. “The team at Roberto Mancini’s disposal now is practically perfect,” said the Merengues director. “Figo, Walter Samuel and Santiago Solari are the right signings for Mancio’s 4-4-2 system.” Fans hope that the new arrivals can have the same impact as Esteban Cambiasso, who joined from Real on a free transfer last summer and impressed in midfield. “I am not just praising them because up until a few weeks ago these players were at Real and therefore under my tutelage,” assured Sacchi in the Corriere dello Sport. “I am evaluating the tactical balance of the team patron Massimo Moratti has given to his Coach.” The Scudetto again appears to be a three-horse race, but the failure to win in Europe could lead focus elsewhere. “As always, the pressures of the Champions’ League will be decisive for the top three Serie A clubs,” added the former Italy boss. “Inter are up there and very close to matching Juve and Milan’s quality, but with external factors going their way, they could capture the title.” |

every year we hear this from inter and pundits who want to give them hope. every year starts as "inter's" year. every year, they get hot shots and every year they fail. nothing new here.

you can always rely on inter for two things - selling players who they deem are flops, to Milan (where they become superstars), and for not winning the scudetto

The real concern over Sacchis mental health remains however over Real Madrids bizarre transfer strategy, which he is partly responsible for...

I don't know if its just me, but doesn't it seem Sacchi seems to rarely pick Milan as a favourite for anything. I mean, he always seems to place his bet against Milan when I read interviews and such.
But anyway, if thats his opinion, thats his opinion, it doesn't affect and thus we shouldn't give it a second thought. |

I think Madrid are trying to acquire Lugano and Sergio Ramos, they look very thin in defence, they don't need wide men as Luxembergo prefers to play 4-3-1-2 formation, but still their transfer this season seems so much irrational, the have strengthened their attack which was already strong, and weakened their defence which was already weak. lets see what next few days has installed for us, there are rumours Lugano is Milan bound.

@Dev: Sacchi claimed that Milan has the best training grounds, its not much, but it is more than we are used to from him

Inter are going to be a real nightmare this season, but their bad luck may continue because we are still a great side and Juve have really built up this summer.
