Milan Mania is looking for a few good people

Milan Mania is in need of some new moderators. We’d like to open the nomination process to the members, so this is the place to do it.

This is NOT a popularity contest. This is where you get a chance to suggest someone and tell us WHY you feel that person would be a good choice. There are a few considerations to keep in mind as you look at your fellow members.

Moderators need to be active on the boards. They don’t have to post 10+ posts per day, but showing up once a month can’t be considered active. Heated arguments break out, so a nominee should be someone who can handle themselves in a tough situation without sinking to the level name calling and insulting everyone in the thread. People should have some respect for the nominee, b/c as moderator that person is going to be making decisions for the forum they are assigned to and will be helping to make decisions pertaining to the future of MM. I don’t happen to feel that being a mod takes a huge amount of extra time; there are a few features on the forums that need to be learned, such as how to delete and move or close threads. Nominees should also be people who have been around here for more than just a few months. I’m not saying a newcomer might not be a good poster, but nominees need to be familiar with the forums and how the forums are run.

So please nominate candidates and please remember to tell us WHY you think that person or persons would be good moderators.

IMO there are two nominees at the moment [forums seem to be abandoned recently

] - Kui and Warro. Why? I guess, no one needs an answer, unless he is a rookie. Just read the posts of these two lads and you will get my point

Sorry to be such a stickler but we would like to know WHY, so everyone is on the same page and can discuss qualifications if necessary.

So what do you need? A public disscussion about how good or bad they are? It useless. Especially if you have been here, I refer to MM, and read post for some time. They have class. One while he is analyzing Milan games. Another - off-topics. I bet, these two lads are what MM needs.

id say kui aswell ... i dont know why exactly, but he is the most mature person here IMO and he is always looking to be friends with everyone here, his only problem is that sometimes he can misread posts but its all good once hes notified.

my second choice would be zlatanov, maybe not yet, despite writing the best posts in MM IMO, he still gets into arguments with newer members and if he is to become a mod he needs to ignore them (my same prblem

i would say Kui, Warro and Rae would be very good for moderators. Why?
They are always friendly with everyone, they post here everyday don't insult anyone on MM and they are here a long time.

I would say rae and Kui, it's a shame Kui has turned the offer down though...Well, rae would be a good one

I reccommend those two due to their gentleman-like behavior and their ability to remain calm under certain circumstances...

i agree. I havent been here that long but i think now thatt kui turned down the offer the 2 best candidates are rae and warro.

Well I'm blushed by the kind opinions people have suggested here. I will say however as I always find a way to disagree with people... Be careful what you wish for! I too can be very one sided here in this forum. I'm not Dev aka ACMILAN1983. Now thats a fair minded person. I have a side and personal opinion like everyone else here and some of my points people absolutely disagree with. This is one of the reasons why I turned down the position of moderator as I feel in all honesty, I cannot with my opinions be a fair and just moderator. I also made this decision as I feel it was in the best interest of the site to not be a mod at this moment in time. I'm sure many will agree and I hope those of you who nominated me will understand why.

Now there is also something I will ask all involved in this thread to be concerned with, is the life of this forum. This is the most important thing that should be concerning us all right now as the Forum is in danger of closing down by at from my sources come the end of the Month of APRIL. We need to find people who can endow this site with some kind of funding from your personal expense. Please if you can the site's is dependent on this. All those interested need to contact Debs or the other Admins concerning this. They are also looking for people with computer knowledge to help maintain and operate this site on a technical level. If money is a hard sell, this site can sure need some of youo folks talents in this field as well.

First of all she is cool.

Secindly she is always calm

Thirdly she have what it takes to be a mod

She never argues, never say sh!te, never insluts others

I think mk 18 has growed up much become a good poster since i read his posts a years ago or more. Now IMO, he respects the differents of opinion, statements or expectations from each members. SO, I guess he deserves as mod even he's young in old and as member..

thanks peachtot for the post, but i have to agree with rae that mia should be taken into consideration aswell ... shes devoted to the site and she never argues, while i still find my seld in disagreements every now and then

in now particualar order i would say: kui, warro, rae, mia, zlatanov. i might be forgetting some1 though!
