Atalanta have made a superb start to the season and will be starting to have ambitions of qualifying for Europe after losing just one game from 11 this campaign.

Luigi Del Neri’s men are flying high in sixth position and last week recorded an impressive 2-1 away victory over in-form Catania.

Milan have shown recent signs of overcoming their early season blues and will have been buoyed after their impressive 3-0 Champions League win over Shakhtar Donetsk in midweek.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men will be desperate for victory in Bergamo as they currently sit in ninth position in Serie A, having still failed to win at home in the league.

Their away form however has been impressive, with their last two trips to Lazio and Sampdoria yielding 10 goals for and just one against.

Aldough Atalanta had a great start of the season, we are by every mean superior team. I only hope Carlo plays it brave and puts Pippo-Ronaldo up front of Kaka'.

I think Gila is better solution in attack from first min, because Pippo is great at this moment like subs. When he come like subs he score and when he starts no goals, and last year Gila and Ronny was great tandem when they play together just remeber.

Ambrosini is not anymore reserve, so he'll be surely in first 11.

The return of Ronaldo! Lets hope his return inspires a great performance by all. This could be the first time we've recored back-to-back wins since genoa and sevilla I think. pece4ever's formation is what I would go with as well. I'd give Ambro a break, some of the fouls he has been committing are just dumb and risking a red card. Let him recover.

i know that, but i'm not Ambro fan. Maybe he is a JOKER and he safe us in many matches but i don't like his style of play, he is alwais nervose. He is our captain he must be calm, but he is not, he made more yellow cards, made an unnesesery fouls.
He is a great player but not for MILAN.

I think Gila may not be fit for this match. Didn't he pick up a back injury in that game against Shakhtar?

Also I don't think Ronnie is ready for a full 90 minutes+, or even an hour.

So if Gila is not ready, I think Pippo will be the lone striker, with Ronnie coming off the bench between the 60 - 69 minute mark.

what keeps me optimistic about Ronaldo is that he took really a long time to recover, and I think he recovered properly, knowing how things go at Milanello... So I expect him to be in good shape even in this match.

this is gotta be a joke..ok i respect that ur not a ambro fan..but while maldini has been out and injured you can barely notice the transition of a captain...ambro by far has been our best player this season one bad game this season by no means should he be demoted...and he is a great captain a true leader a great option going forward as well as defending in the midfield he did have clumsy fouls in the shaktar game but he as long as he is fit is truly one of th best players on the field

P.S i think its a little too late to say he isnt milan material...12 years too late..

Yes I believe he's picked up a knock and might be rested, or at most I think he'll be on the bench.

Ronaldo I think is almost certain to start this match, and probably with Pippo. That might also give us the chance to finally rest Seedorf.

huh? how did you come to that conclusion? This season Ambro has been one of the most consistent performers in the team (along with Nesta and Seedorf). His style of play is aggressive (very aggressive sometimes), but he's pretty good at avoiding reckless challenges (even when he spreads his legs apart and almost scissors opponents) and definitely isn't one to lose his cool these days, especially compared to in the past.

Cant wait to see R99...and I am sure Dru is drooling at the very prospect of seeing his idol play.

Hope to watch the match live...though not sure who is carrying it (ie which station of Gol, Fox, or ESPN)

Will research, and make the post if I find it.

Well.. every fan can share his own thoughts.
But "for me", Ambro is far better than Gattuso. He can pass, score, and is far perfect in air.
Booth of them have a fighting spirit, booth of them play with all of their heart for the team they play.

As for 3 defensive midfielders, I don't want to be strategist in formations, but i would love at least one time to see Milan play with Wingers.
We don't have them right now, but like they say " Never say never ".

As I foresee the match, i think Milan should start with the same formation they started against Shakhtar.
Dida to be placed in middle of posts, Oddo may be ready for match so he should take the RB position, Nesta and Kaladze in center and Serginho as a Left back.
Pirlo, Gattuso, Ambrosini, and Seedorf to take the midfield controll.

Gilardino in Atack with Kaka' just behind him as a second striker.
Ronaldo should play at least 20-30 minutes, and if we are in a need of Goal... then we have our remarkable Pippo there.

OK i understand you all, but i don't like him and this is not jow he play this year or how he were played last year i don't like him since he join milan, i respekt all milan players but my thought is that we have better players to play on this position plus i don't like his style of play but this is me and if milan love him i will love him too, after all we are here for milan and we will alwais be.
