I've been reading the comments made at the bbc messageboards (btw, Gio I think I saw a comment from you) and must say I hope we beat Utd bad. Their fans are incredibly insulting (I want to be sure I'm only referring to those on the messageboard, not all Man U fans, as the ones here are ok ).

Simply put, comments like Neville is better than Cafu and Heinze is better than San Paolo and calling our backline OAPs is ridiculous. Then to argue how overrated Sheva is and how he's a big game choker and saying Rooney is better is as bad. On top of which, most had no knowledge of Milan and actually compared us to Inter

Simply put, I want them beaten bad and not only do I want to beat them, I want them humiliated beyond belief that those fans will never have the desire to speak up again

I study in manchester so I spent the whole of friday annoying man u fans saying how we are gona show them what real football is. Honestly its my favourite team against the team I hate the most. Iv been telling my friends for about 13 years how much better Milan are than Utd, now I finally will have the proof, (i hope)

It's not really overconfidence ACM1983, it's more that we are really happy to
play against an equally big club.

If we win it will be great, if we lose we bow out gracefully against another heavy
weight club. These are the kind of games that you never forget !

you know..every club has supporters that give a bad name to the rest.. sometimes they believe that trash talking about put downs ..make them better supporters, and forget about respect. The mayority of Man utd fans..know how big of a challenge this is and are very excited about it, and the mayority have great respect for Milan. Theres just some people in the world that forgot to mature while growing up. But dont think that all the man utd supporters lack the respect milan surely deserves!

Well, I have a lot of Man U friends which are ok, so like I said, not all Man U fans annoy me, like you so far. But, those on the bbc messageboards were just idiots, that weren't overconfident or even confident, they were just ignorant and arrogant. About what I said before, I had posted just after viewing the messageboards so I was quite annoyed and so I may have sounded a little harsh (I ought to admit to disliking Man U anyway, but at the moment I dislike Arsenal more anyway )

However, 26 may 1999 hasn't helped Man U fans reputation, lets just hope other posters like that won't come, not just for Milan fans here, but for the sake of Man U fans trying to be good posters and not seem like a bad set of fans

well for once its not juve-mu but I do get madrid instead, and even though a prospect of kicking off a spanish team is delicious but madrid is like one of those bad hollywood horror movies - they just keep on resurging. like jaws 1. then jaws 2. then jaws 3 and so on.

On paper its no surprise whos favourites, obviously milan. but MU has always been a team to admire - in fact the only team i admire to be honest in england ( i no longer admire chelski, but i will always be fond of chelsea ) the thing about manchester is that they usually perform in all the important matches and show their real strenght, so even though MU could play like crap in all the games before they play milan, it's no shock if they come out of their shell and give milan a nasty surprise.

Just because Juve can't beat Man U.... Haha, just kidding... I wanted this to be the final the last time we won the CL. But now is still great, we are strong as ever, and after today's game against Juve I have full confidence in our club. Of course I'm looking forward to this game(though 22nd Feb does seem a bit far..).

BBC message boards? Is that even a soccer forum? What are you doing at a place like that anyway. For all you know you might have been talking to basketball fans!

they do have soccer discussions for the English clubs and International football sections too. I went there because I heard about it on this forum.

Don't worry, I doubt I'll go back anytime soon

Lesson learnt then . Prevention is better than cure anyway .

Edit: Btw, I wasn't serious in my last post I was just taking a dig at those Man U fans there. And from your comments I really think they are golf or netball fans who happened to stumble upon the sports page in an EPL infested country
