I don't know why but at some point I knew milan will draw
with juve .for this reason I didn't put my thought in pre game comment
milan played better but all matter is the result which is (0-0)
hard luck to milan

Can't add anything but to say I don't remember when I was this disappointed at a result... not sure if anybody mentioned it already or not but this is a game where our injuries made a difference...even if all forwards/attacking player are playing as well as they did we needed alternatives when the finishing was not happening (whether or not it was because of Juve's defense it doesn't matter)

Im pissed with the fact the Carlotti didn't make any substitutions, except when he was forced to take off kaladze cuz he was injured..

why didnt he get on dhorasoo and rui to give us some more creativity? i mean.. its true we dominated the game.. but dominating the game without getting near the goal is nothing.. its just like them hitting the post over and over again.. that doesnt count.. what counts is the goal.. carlo should have used his subs..

but overall, at somepoint in first half.. milan reminded me of the game against Roma on January 6 2004 .. were Juve kept clearing into Milan.. and everytime a juve player got the ball at midfield, we quickly got it back.. I was extremely happy during the game.. but shame we couldnt get a goal we desperately deserved..

also a big shame for having such a terrible referee in such a game

i don't think anyone but bad luck can be blaimed. kaka was a little off with passes sheva and crespo didn't have any clear cut chances but there where moments where they could have scored. the referee was a bit crap but to be honest I thought crespo went down a bit easy when i first saw it, i imagine the ref saw the same. it's a big ask for a penalty in the first 3 mins, whether thats right or wrong it's a fact of football.

good points obviously are, we dominated, juve at home played like a bottom of the league team against us, packing the defense and hoping for a break. we're just hitting stride, it's unfortunate the break is not for 2 more weeks or so, i feel we would have taken 6 points from the next two games on this form and juv might have struggled against both. however heres to 2005 where we start the proper run. it would worry me if juve had played that poorly all season and we had been that good and juve where still top but overall juve have been better than us, just up until those last 3-4 weeks has the balance swung. i feel we are worth more than 4 points behind going into the break though, less and three would be fairer.

i don't think we where particularly unfairly done by the ref in this game sehnsucht, i think juve just got the breaks. it does bug me though as juve do get the breaks and awful lot of the time, you must pick up about 8 or so points in refereeing decisions every season.

I'm very disappointed with the result. Milan deserved a lot better, however this game proved that we are the best team in Italy. Then there where some decisons taken by bertini (pezzo di merda)

HOWEVER WE ARE THE BEST, IF WE CONTINUE LIKE THIS THE SCUDETTO WILL REMAIN OURS.

All what I have to say is well done to our players and they really played an excellent match and were by far the better side . We controlled the match from start to finish and created a handful of clear cut goalscoring opportunities that we sorrily wasted . Enough that Juve who were the home side didn't have a single clear chance on goal for the whole match . We needed a little bit of luck to finish off the match . The result even though disappointing considering the way we played it still preserved our title hopes and a four point margin is not a big deal to recover . The match witnessed a big surprise in our starting line-up after our legendary captain Maldini didn't start at the last moment and veteran defender Billy Costacurta stepped in his place in central defence . I am really amazed from Billy's pereformance who never dissapoints and always up to our expectations whenever he is called into action inspite of being 39 year old . At a very physical match with a very fast pace he still can perform at the highest level . Kaladze was chosen to start ahead of Pancaro at left-back . The rest of the starters were all regulars in a 4-3-1-2 format . Juve on the other side played a 4-4-2 . Our midfielders did a tremendous job in breaking up their attacks and winning most of the challenges and won the battle of midfield . Crespo was playing as our main target striker with golden ball winner and our prolific striker moving everywhere to the flanks or back to escape marking and come from deep in spaces . Cafu was providing an excellent width to our attacks on the right while Kaladze completely neutralized their winger Camoranesi and made him invisible . Kaka tried hard to set up Sheva or Crespo or make attempts on goal but his efforts resulted in nothing . Juve were defending mostly and with the game going in our favour Capello didn't risk and seemed to be playing for the draw . Some stupid refereeing decisions blocked us like a not counted penalty after Crespo was pulled down from Zebina or a completely wrong offside call to stop a one on one for Sheva while he was completely onside . Anyway we should put this result behind us and focus on our next match after the league resumes . Personally I salute our players for that match and things like that happen as football is not always fair in terms of results . FORZA MILAN

at the end, a loss was more catastrophic than a draw and we all know how juve somehow manages to squeeze in an undeserved goal close to the end. so ancelotti decided to maintain his formation and not add another creative player to the mould. he could have subbed kaka for rui and pirlo for dhorasso but what would be the point of that other than introducing fresh legs. neither pirlo nor kaka looked tired by the end. in fact, pirlo almost got our winner!

to be honest I thought Juve handled Milan quite well (in terms of defense and considering Milan dominated, not Juve), but even so Juve have somehow caved the path for Milan to score, but Milan just failed to act in conviction most times and failed to capitalize on opportunities. You wasted one too many chance. And gattuso will always be a good player but am afraid last night was not one of his best moments.

I somehow still could not see crespo as a milanista, he's move around so much you just cant stick him to a team. Thought Kaka and Pirlo were very determined, but Kaka unlike Pirlo did give scrappy shots and lacked conviction. He had a good game, but he's not in a great form yet. Pirlo was wonderful last night to my mind, but what made my day was even though Maldini sadly couldn't join in all the fun, I've always adored Costacurta and its always a pleasure to see him (he's just so fierce looking yknow? )
I don't agree with you about the ref, he was absoloutly terrible and most people that saw the match have agreed with me (even my bro who's a Juve fan says we should have had 2 penalties). Zebina is such an idiot, he clearly tugged back on Crespo and then had Crespo/Kaladze (the one off the corner) in a headlock. The ref this week reminded me of the refreeing last week in Bologna.

However, that is a good assessment of the match. Juve's defence does deserve some credit for holding out. However, having 9 players behind the ball is just poor. It reminded me of Inter under Cuper. As for Juve coming to form after Christmas, it reminds me of Milan two years ago, where we had burnt ourselves out.

As for our team...

Dida had nothing to do really, catch a few crosses comfortably and save an easy shot from Zambrotta (one of Juve's better players last night)
Cafu dominated Zambrotta overall and put in a good performance offensively and defensively, however, sometimes play did slow down with him
Kaladze played played very well. Until his injury, he was playing like he was 2 years ago.
Nesta was awsome, took Zlatan completely out
Billy, fairly quiet but solid and reliable as always. Came in at a late calling and slotted in perfectly.
Rino was his fiery self. Quiet in offensive positions due to Juve's defence
Pirlo was one of our best players. Spreading play brilliantly and pushing forward well to support attackers well. Also unlucky to miss the late chance.
Seedorf was also good. Although not at his best, he held onto posession really well.
Kaka started really well and linked up and provided for the forwards brilliantly. Was tired out towards the end of the game.
Crespo was bright early on and was unlucky after having a clear penalty not given.
Sheva was our best attacker yesterday and even against so many defenders around him, he was unfortunate not to score (hit the post, had offsides given against him incorrectly and the advantage not being played on)

I was a little disappointed that Carlo only made the one sub and we really could have used Dhorasoo's pace in the latter part of the match

We played well in this match and were unlucky not to win. We could have been more clinical in our final passes, but really, we were unlucky not to get the result.

Lets focus on our next match now (Lecce I think) and continue our march this season

GOOD ONE...seriously

Before explaining how this game "went fine" maybe you could first explain how LAST WEEK'S Juve game also "went fine" (no controversy there right?)

Bottom line is that Juve did not deserve this tie...they never had anything going in midfield..pulling Del Piero was pointless because the offense simply did not exist for Juve. Nedved could barely get anything going..the midfielders that did touch the ball, did so defensively. All I kept thinking to myself is: THIS IS THE TEAM THAT IS IN FIRST PLACE?? Disgusting.
About the official: he basically didn't let them take two steps without a call...Shevchenko's INEXISTENT offside...Kaka dribbled past a player and a foul was called: FOR WHAT?
The BEST was Nedved's free kick: HE KICKS CAFU in the back of the leg and falls in doing so: Free kick awarded to Nedved: THis is CLASSIC Pavel: its the reason he willl never be in the same level of class as the Van Basten's, Baggio's and Shevchenko's...he would sell his Mother for a call.
However, regardless of the outcome .. the better team in SERIE A is obvious. If I was a Juventini I wouldn't enjoy my Christmas "PANNETONE" that much considering the SLIPPAGE of this team in the past 2-3 weeks. i.e. that horse shoe is starting to fall out from under their arse.

P.S. I hear many GOBBI'S (Juventini's) complaining about Billy's supposed handball. Did you NOT notice it bounced off his chest before hitting his hand..see the age old rule INVOLUNTARY HANDBALL...THIS IS A CLASSIC EXAMPLE.

agreed with you, Billy... if Serie A continue this way.. then I must say it's just DISGUISTING!!! Best League, Best Players and Worst Referees..

no wonder Juve have won 27 scudetti but only managed to get 2 Champions League Titles.. They could only BUY local referees, not the European ones..

hehe, Argo, one of those European trophies could be taken away due to the drugs thing

I forgot to say earlier, but Juve are argubly the dirtiest team in Serie A at the moment. Going through their team...

Buffon can't really be dirty

Canna and Thuram aren't too dirty, but tend to make a lot of niggly fouls during matches.
Zebina is just horrible, he just goes around fouling everyone, he's rubbish and I really don't see why Capello likes him so much.
Zambrotta is fair I think
Emerson was very dirty yesterday, causing many fouls against our players to stop us attacking
Camoranesi is ok, but he tends to try and force people off the ball unfairly, although half the time he's to weak to succeed
Blasi/Tacchinardi are dirty as can be...especially the latter. Tac also tries to wind up our players in off the ball situations when playing against us
Nedved is a cheat. Its sick a talented player goes round fouling ALL the time and his diving is disgusting. This guy really gets on my nerve because he's just shameful in his way of playing.
Ibra has tendancies to wind opposing defenders up and generally "accidently" leaves his elbows up at peoples faces when heading.
Del Piero is like Camo

Out of the team, the only player that didn't play dirty beside Buffon was Zambrotta, who was probably Juve's best player yesterday.

yup.. is there anything Juve could do "cleanly"?
If it's not FIAT who control Italy, then Juve are nothing...

then we must be cheerful because "Ballon d'Or" has gone to the right person this year.

I've read that Nedved wanted to exchange "Ballon d'Or" with "scudetto". but Sheva replied, Nedved could win the Coppa if he wanted to..
