I would really like to hear more from leo, and who HE wants. Hope this is not another puppet and master affair, with Galliani and co. getting all the say about who arrives.

Who does our coach want for god's sake!

Well, if our big moves are the triumphant return of Brocchi and a press release saying that having a healthy Ronaldinho and Nesta for 2009-2010 is like having bought six world-class new players, then you can be sure who's calling the shots.
It's all posturing, but that doesn't make all this any less annoying. Obviously, things are a bit slow on the transfer front for everyone so far (those mental cases in Madrid being the exception that proves the rule), but should pick up now that the Confederations Cup is over and the window is truly open for moves. Whether it picks up for Milan is another kettle of fish entirely. Just get something done for God's sake. At this point I'll beleive it when I see it...

Milan - Dzeko = EPIC FAIL

Milan - Cissokho = EPIC FAIL

I await B&G's next move.

I think it's obvious Berlu is more concerned about his teenagers, and Uncle Fester is more concerned about his hair products.

Berlu also needs to invest in teeth whitener and hair colouring. Keep it up old playboy! Soon the AC players will be as old as you.

I too have been disappointed by recent events. But after some days of reflection. I am confident B&G know what they are doing. Afterall look at how many trophys they have delivered.

Ah, yes. You must be referring to:

1) the sales of Kaka and Gourcuff.

2) the wise decisions the past few years to sign old and under performing players on high wages (Vieri, Emerson, Janku, Oddo, etc..)

3) Signing horribly performing players to huge contracts (Dida, Kaladze, ...)

4) or to the fact that we're barely holding on to remaining key players such as Pato, Pirlo, and Gattuso.

5) Of course, the money from Sheva, Kaka, and Gorky have somehow found their way to the inside lining of Berlu's pocket. (ie. in a nutshell, these sales paid for his teen girlfriends)

Whatever you are smoking, send me some of that please.

Yes, no matter how sympathetic you want to be to Berlu's regime currently (last 2-3 years), you can't avoid the fact that Milan's image is the only thing that is keeping them up at the moment. Sure, our president has been great, but it is time to move on. Find someone who actually has a FOOTBALLING mind, and knows that buying too younger players, or too older players will destroy a team. Even his son has more brains, and openly criticised Dihno's arrival, and the over sentimental signing of Sheva.

For this mercato i prefer to buy those player
1.Edin Dzeko - is the perfect palyer for atack with Pato
2.Cesc Fabregas - He can replace Kaka'
3.Aly Cisshoko - We ned a left defender
4.Hernanes - He is strong and will make the game more spedly not so dead like Pirlo
5.Kjaer - We ned a center back with Thiago Silva

Fabregas is perhaps a bit wistful.....
Kjaer?..... We need an older (25-28) experienced CB to guide Silva through the campaign.
We should have Cassano or a player of the sorts to replace Kaka. Versatile, he can score for sure, and better, create MANY goals with his wonderful assist ability. The only problem is his attitude...

And yes, Cissoko would be great yet not going to happen. Can't deny it, we need someone out wide of defense to replace Janko, who I believe is past his best by far....

We also seriously need a new keeper (Adler, Handanovic, Mandanda etc.). Many say it will be ok, and we should hold out for Marchetti next season. But have we got a deal done for him? NO. He is in demand, and there is a HUGE chance another club will snap him up b4 us. Abbiatti's injury can become chronic, just like Nesta's, and then who do we have? Dida, Kalac (No offense to them, but hardly Milan and Seire A standard)?

And yes, sell Pirlo to Chelsea for that inflated price and buy Hernanes. Pirlo has great technical ability but doesn't produce it enough these days. As a result, he helps further reduce the speed of our midfield. How can we cope with other Serie A teams, and English/ Spanish sides, if their midfielders speed around us as we have seen b4? Hernanes is a perfect mix, and together with the aggresive and attacking Flamini, and the man-wall of Gatusso, we have a formidable midfield. On the bench we also have the option of tough and scoring midfileder Ambro. Its not like a Madird transfer compaign, but it requires serious investment, and objective (NOT COMMERCIAL) purchases.

I'm surprised by comments like these. No matter what mistakes have been made in the past, Milan still remain the most successful team in the CL over the past 6 years--2 CL's, 3 finals, 1 semi-final, 1 quarter final, and I would dare say that our record over the past 20 years, ie the Berlusconi era has seen us being the most successful club internationally.

So this means that whatever our management has been doing has resulted in us winning trophies. I would rather we continue this way, than be another Inter that invest heavily on players (I'm sure their fans are happy every summer), and then end up choking in Europe.

I myself am suprised by your comments. Sure, berlu has been great in the past, but can you not see he has gone seriously astray in the last three years? The team that he set up long ago has been able to keep up with competition in that period, but we are struggling more and more. Coming 5th should have been a wake-up call for mgt. We should have been re-building last year rather than for this season.

I know what you're saying, but credit has to be given where it's due. Look at what this team has done over the last 6 years. We have acheived more in Europe than Man Utd have done in 10 years! Numerous players were brought in---some who have flopped, and others who have become superstars like Kaka, Pato, Pirlo, etc, but the bottom line is that we have won on the field.

I agree with you that we may have rebuilt perhaps one year too late, but to come out and say that Berlu/Galliani are incompetent, don't know what they're doing, don't know how to spend the transfer budget, give big contracts to unworthy players, etc, etc....is just ridiculous.

We are now in a rebuilding phase after an era of success. If we don't start winning BIG again in 2-3 years, then we can start pointing our fingers at management and calling them names. For now, we have to trust in the history of this club under this managment and see what happens.

And, BTW, what is the benchmark of a successful transfer season? Is it the quality of players brought in? If so, Inter and Real Madrid are the most successful teams of all time. Or is it the ability to win on the field? If it is the latter, then we have to let this transfer season pass and regardless of who we buy, we need to wait and see what happens when the season starts. Because after all, there is only 1 football on the field, regardless of how many so-called superstars are present. If a team can gel together and play as a team, trophies will be won. If a collection of superstars don't click, then the whole team just disintegrates----try asking INter.

Bad news guys.....

Chelsea Preparing €23 Million Bid For Wolfsburg Striker Edin Dzeko - Report
The Blues are looking to succeed where Milan have failed this summer…
4 Jul 2009 09:20:00

Chelsea have reportedly entered the race to sign Wolfsburg star Edin Dzeko and are planning a €23 million (£20m) offer for the player.

The Mirror reports today that new head coach Carlo Ancelotti, who is looking to add quality to his side and reduce the average age of the Blues’ squad, sees the Bosnia and Herzegovina striker as an ideal option.

Italian giants Milan have been courting Dzeko for most of the summer, but seem to have moved on to Sevilla’s Luis Fabiano after being frustrated by Wolfsburg’s desire to keep hold of the player.

But the Blues are still said to be hopeful of persuading the Bundesliga champions to agree a deal and Ancelotti has apparently told the club’s hierarchy to start putting out feelers to see if a €23m offer would be accepted.

The 23-year-old Dzeko burst onto the scene last season as he smashed 36 goals in 42 just appearances in all competitions in what was a fantastic campaign.

Dzeko, capped 17 times by his country, played for Zeljeznicar, Usti nad Labem and Teplice before joining his current club.

Chelsea completed the signing of starlet Daniel Sturridge from Manchester City yesterday and are still hopeful of agreeing a deal for left-sided Russian player Yuri Zhirkov next week, with significant funds available to Ancelotti.
