Speaking of the match, can anyone tell me why people from the Balkans, hate vowels so much? Serbia is Srbija, red is crvena, Croatia in Croatian would be Hrvatska. Then there are the footballers Prso and Srna. Is it just a coincidence or are vowels very unpopular in that region? No offense intended, this is a serious question

Well, this is only for the countries from the former Yugoslavia (Serbia, Croatia, Makedonia...). We, the Bulgarians for example, have a letter between these "srn", and that letter do not exist in the English alphabet, and that cause a problem when we have type something in English...

We use instead "a" or "u" to type it. For example Balakov. The second "a" could be typed "u", Balukov, and all the Bulgarians will understand that probably "Balakov" and "Balukov" is the one and the same person. Kinda complex, ah?

Back on the topic: As I know, the first leg is at La Scalla, our "San Siro", we just have to win with something like 2-0 or 3-0, the then there would be too less hope for the serbians. And when we score at "Mala Maracana", it would all over, we'll be quallified.

So we have to win the first leg at all costs. FORZA MILAAAAAAAAAAAN

About the game, I except a victory but nothing spectacular. The first competitive match of the season after just a friendly against Lecce, I don't think our boys will be in top form. Regardless, they should still beat Red Star Belgrade.

I also expect Milan to win but have to say I am a bit worried by the fact that CZ are probably a good 3-4 weeks ahead of us in terms of preparation and have played competitive games already.
Actually, I am glad that the 1st game is at the SS cause CZ will probbaly try to save themselves for the game at Maracana and by the time the 2nd leg comes, I think we will be in much better shape.

that's my worries also zlat, CZ are in better shape than us but also our defence worries me a lot, Favalli and Billy will have a lot of problems with Zigic i hope everything goes well and i'm sure we'll qualify

I am not liking tha fact that we play at home first, but I guess the strategy for us would be to ensure that they dont score an away goal, a strategy which may actually work in our favor, as they will more than likely come to defend, and try to hit us on the counter...

If we play in a cagey way, (ie, dont overcommit to the attack) then we should still be able to score once or twice, (via through passes to the forwards), while concentrating our defense, to nullify their attack, and deny them the away goal they would so badly want.

Ultimately though, I think Carlo will want us to play our game, ie posession, and rapid counters on the break.
