agree with u dave...i believe Billy still could give an extraordinary shot for milan but it's time for collocini,btw i think we have to consider jankulovski and Mutu.....our left side need somebody fresh and powerful coz when seedorf lost his mood we put serginho and the way we play totally change but janku could give the same pressure like seedorf give....and Mutu could be a good partner for Sheva or you maybe prefer robinho or Adu ???

Jankulovski is surely a great player, but I'd prefer to stick with Kaladze. Not necessarily because he is better, but because he is good and I like continuity. That's one of the things that make us better than Inter.

With Gilardino,Teves, Torres, Cassano and possibly Bojinov on the market, I don't think Mutu is on the minds of the Milan management.

ya henry....i see your point, i just see the way we play where all the midfielder need to play free role sometimes...i think janku could give his best shot coz kaladze is more like Left Back than left midfielder...
bout Mutu....i think with his condition he really needs club right ?? he knows italian football and milan......mean probably we could get him without tons of dollar

Hopefully Gilardino and Bojinov move 2 Milan.Crespo can go back 2 Chelsea and Tomasson can move back 2 the Dutch league.In June next year,Milan can sign Rosicky 2 replace Serginho and Dhorasoo.The Defence is ageing and Milan need 2 look 4 replacements.

The Defence is in good condition. I would have complained last year when we did not have Stam nor Coloccini. The only part that i would be warried about is Cafu. If he stays with us and keeps it up, then I do not care. However if he leaves or if his form droppes because..........he is not supermen.....then we will need an immidiate replacement for him. Other then that...I do not know why people say our defence is aging. Nesta is the best defender in the world and will be the best for ages to come! Stam is 32, which isn't young, however he definetely has at least another great great season in front of him. We do have Coloccini who is only 22 and we do have Kaladze who is 26. Nesta, Coloccini and Kaladze are all under 30. Stam will be a rock for another 2 years.

We do not need Heitinga, Bonera, Bovo and Cannavaro. That is just too much! This many changes for a defence can just do harm. The defence is the most important part of the field. They communicate with the whole team. And if they do not know how to play with each other at the back....then they can not pay attention to everything else on the field, and they NEED to. They have to command everyone on the pitch. Who to pick up...where to goo...what to do!!! If we pick up 4-5 defensmen next year, it will be a disaster. Only because they will be warried about each other's styles more then about what is going on on the field in front of them.

All we need is a replacement/substitute (depending on if he is going to leave or not) for Cafu......and another central defender to fill in Costacurta's spot. Why change everything else when everything is working.

Yea..Pancaro is old, but we have a 26 year old Kaladze that can start and has proven to be one of the best in his position. Pancaro can be his replacement. Nesta can play with either Maldini or Stam....while Coloccini and the signing can fill in whenever needed. Or if they can step up...then they can even strat some games. Cafu can play....and his replacement can give him a great deal of rest whenever needed. Only if Cafu leaves, we will need another player on that position, given that i know nothing about Simic and what will happen with him.

I will not give suggestions for who we should get...but all I am saying is we need only 2 guys in the defence. THAT'S IT. Anything more then that can only do us harm. Also, these two players should not be world stars. They can be someone cheap that can fill in whenever rest is needed. Only Cafu's position can be considered as a more needed one, so the management can allow themselves to spend somewhat more on that. I would say somebody that is not a STAR...however that can get a lot of time behing Cafu and then slowly take over the starting position. If Cafu leaves, I suggest to bring in a young player from either our youth accademy or other accademies and make him a back up in that position which will allow him to grow.

A lot of people do not realize this, but our midfield may be a problem. I know that we have all of our starters returning and young......still to hit their prime. However...... Rui Costa, Dhorasoo, Serginho, and possibly Brocchi might all be leaving next summer. This leaves us with our starting midfield of Seedorf, Kaka, Gattuso and Pirlo together with Ambrisini.....who if does not get a lot of time, might want to leave too. We all know that every summer there are rummors surrounding Ambro and I see no reason this one to be different. Suprizingly this leaves us with only our 4 starters. I will not give any suggestions, but those of you out there commenting about our defence........please give our midfield a second look.

Lastly our attack!! Not much to say. We will see Insaghi's form when he comes back from the injury. JDT and Crespo are both deep in mud right now...and if something does not change with these two.......then we might see drastic changes in attack as well next year. We are all waiting for Insaghi's return.....however who knows which Pippo we will see after 2 surgeries in one year(i think). I just hope the Pippo we all know comes back. If that is the case, then we will definetely have him and Sheva. If not, then there will be some serious problems in our attack......because not even Sheva can keep scorring on and on and on and on and on!!!!

That's about it right now. I have not written in a long time......even though i read MilanMania daily. I am glad to see some of the older members posting again. Mange!! Haven't read a lot from you in a while. Harroon's posts are always awsome! There are a lot of good posters out there.......however some of you need to clean up your act. I hate reading people cursing out players and our coach when we lose. It is just a huge immature act. Then when we win....they are the first ones to congratulate. I get mad too and yell and scream at the players because my passion for this club is huge. However.....if you have to curse and call out player's names, please do not do it in a disguisting manner! It is ok to say that a certain player did not do well, but please choose your words properly!! Maybe this is not the place to open a theme for something like this, but i just do not want to start a topic for something like this. It is more like a wake up call to the "little kids" in the forum!!!

Well, I do not say so. As I already said somewhere in other thread, we have only four young defenders. And at least we should have eight.[Billy, Paolo, Stam, Cafu and Guiseppe are very old].
IMO we should choose from Chivu, Mexes, Bonera and Canna Jr.

yes we got problem on the midfield cos the way we play ( all midfield should play free role ) we really need all fit player every game, if one of them not fit or in bad mood...then our midfield will screw the game ( remember defeat againts depor ??? ).....the midfield in Milan play harder than other team coz they are the key of defence also the offense......
for striker....i only see that Sheva is the only one that really matter, find another striker !!!!!!!!!!!111

Our defence seriously needs a change by the end of this season.Maldini is 36.Costacurta is 38.Cafu is 34.If u ask me,this could be the last season for the 3 of them to play competitive football.After that,who will replace them?

Heitinga looks to be a good substitute for Maldini.
Bonera looks solid at right back.
Bovo seems to be a good investment in the long run
