Anyway, I just read an article on channel4.com:

Milan are apparently preparing a bid for Ronaldinho!!! 35 million Euros + Tomasson and Coloccini. That is way too much man!! What do you think??? I know its only rumours but still... I think Ronaldinho is excellent but that deal is better for them that us. That is way too much for a player. I would pay 20-25 million euros plus them two players at the most!!!

Also it states, that is this was to happen Milan would have to forget about Crespo.

Firstly, i would forget about anyone among the strikers, except Sheva, Kakà and Pippo if Ronaldinho comes to Milan

secondly i think those price is fair for the future best player in the world at 25 y o. He has still 10 years of pure magic!!!!

Plus, we can cope it with season tickets (imagine the boom) and advertisements, tv rights and jerseys.

imagine , with closed defences, ronaldinho making the fool out of some defenders and tearing them apart.

3 world class? do we need three world class? where do you field them? on the bench or on the terraces? we have no room for 3 world class so we just need to invest on few champions of supreme quality

shevchenko , with ronaldinho and kakà behind, can score 35 goals in serie a, not joking!

Sure R10 brings also some money in.
But Juan Roman Riquelme has been a much better and effective player this year in Primera Division + he looks more suited to Serie A to me.
He'd arrive on a cut price as he is on quite a high wage + we could add further players.

Riquelme? I don't think, if ANY italian club have ever bid for him, that he's reckoned Serie A quality.

I'm not saying he's not quality but maybe his skills doesn't suit for Serie A. I don't know him well, so i admit my ignorance and can just say this

But in 2 years when Billy, Maldini and Stam stop playing I'd prefer having 60m € available to simply buy the best younger defenders that are available.

Maldini said that the best young defenders around are not Milan quality or not on the market.

I can't understand why you worry that much about moneys!!!!!!!

We make 60000 season tickets per year, we have tv rights sponsors and Berlusconi is as rich as Abramovich!!!!!!!

It's beyond me why some of you are scared about moneys.

It's some years, even after the CL (50 MLN won) that we make good transfers but spending truly few moneys!!!

First we have a wage bill of 160m€ to start with.

SKY TV+terestrial rights account for 70-80m
Season ticket sales + normal tickets only account for roughly 40m€
add another 60-80m from all kinds of sponsorship+ CL and you have an income of around 180-200m€.

Now wages alone take a huge part and there are other costs (stadium fee, pitch maintenance...).

Juve's financial reports give a good basic idea, we have more stadium income, less TV, same sponsorship but a higher wage bill (160m).


Juve 03/04 had following income:

ticket sales 17m
TV+CL 110m
sponsorship 57m
others 26m
=208m revenue.

-wages bill 117m
-other expenses 50m
-depreciation and amortisation (which is the transfer fees, only over longer period of time) 65m

= 20m€ loss


Ours is probably worse as we have to depreciate the huge fees of Inzaghi, Rui Costa amongst others.

You are forgeting Berlusconi's pocket.

Berlusconi looks at Milan as his hobby, and not as a company to make profit.

That is why he never agreed that Milan will be quoted in the Stock Market.

Every year he has to put his hand in his pocket to break even the accounts.

If Rolaldinho or another great player is for sale and his service will make a big positive difference in the team, Milan will get him.

During the Berlusconi's era, money had never been a problem, so why should be now?

And do not compare Juventus with Milan as they are running on different basis.

Milan would like Adriano or Totti or Ronaldo or Ronaldinho etc etc....

Thus, Milan have good taste.......

But this supposed iminent Ronaldinho signing is utter Bullcrap!

The Max Milan will pay for any 'guru' is 35 million, and that includes players.

The above mentioned players are worth more than that, as their respective presidents will tell you.

spot on charlie, and let me say that (but this is not openly stated) Berlusconi has many interests in positive /winning image even from a political point of view.

Feeding Milan successes has an impact even on his political image.
MInd: if Ronaldinho is on the market, he will be ours, can bet everything on this.

I dont think 35 millions pound is too expensive for dinho.
But i dont believe he join with milanfor the next three years.

guys have faith, pieces are moving and i 've had the chance to understand from close to the society men that the interest is high on this situation, and Galliani has stated plenty of times that Ronaldinho is the only player he (and Berlusconi) would make a foolish bid for.
