Have just re-watched the 1st leg on HDTV (yays!)... and I've always been respectable of this man and his 'commentary', but am THIS close to finding out where Clive Tyldesley lives and strangling his goats. I don't even care if he doesn't have any goats. Talk about bloody biased commentary.

Janku waking up in a cold sweat over Cristiano Ronaldo? Yeah, right. Unless of course, Janku has a crush on cute little Crissy. Then there was the time during the Istanbul Final where he insisted we call the Rossoneri 'Milan' and not 'Meeelan', like it's pronounced in Italian. It's not the misprounciation...it's the mocking way he said 'Meelan', that still gets to me. UGH.

Great. Now am bitter.

rt9,

i substantiated my disagreement with the facts, have you missed them?
You seemed to fall victim of one spin-master who tried to re-write the history.

Last year ... your memory span seems to be short ... last year made it to the semifinals and Sheva scored a disallowed goal which could have propel us to the final.
Obviously you don't even understand what i am trying to say. Pls go and think before shooting off. I am trying to say Sheva is important to us but even his presence or absence doesn't determine our season.

Actually i sort of agreed with Tyldesley on that, it really annoys me when the pundits exagerate the names of players and clubs in order to sound like they know what they're talking about. The way they were saying Dida last tuesday (DeeeDarrrrrrr ) was irritating and even started distracting me from the actual match!

Oh dear oh dear my poor little assistant coach ... you have alot to learn about ITV commentators. Now repeat after me,

Clive Tyldesley is a man utd buttock licking brown noser!

His commentaries are rubbish and whatever the game, there are references to Man Utd in it. He's so far up Ferguson's backside he can see daylight when the whiskey nosed manager opens his mouth! He makes me sick. Andy Townsend is another one, Man Utd are amazing i back them everytime ... he's even got to the stage now where no matter who the opposition he'll back the English team. Case in point Spurs v Sevilla, where he backed Spurs to win quite comfortably even though they were losing. Rubbish player, rubbish 'analyst'. Even staunch Liverpool man Mark Lawrenson on the BBC is becoming a Man Utd psycophant.

I think the other commentator (peter drury i think) is ok for now, no doubt he'll move to the dark side and show nauseating bias in his commentary for one particular team and come up with inane comments like the 'Jankulovski waking up in cold sweats' throw off.

As for 'Deeedaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa' and all those completely ridiculous over pronounciations, man give me a bucket so i can chuck up and then throw it over Tyledsley's head. Utter garbage. It's the same with 'Drogbaaaaaaaaaaa' or Alves becoming 'Alvesh' and numerous others. David Pleat (he probably can't pronounce his own name properly anymore) is the worst, Tyledsley, Motson, et al are almost as bad. Speaking of which, if you happen to catch former Aston Villa boss John Gregory commentating (sometimes on ch5) you're in for a treat. He sounds like an action hero now with a deep gravelly over dramatic voice, it's ace!

All i want is fair commentary, if a player does something rubbish say it's rubbish and don't sugar coat it, and a commentator/co-commentator who knows their stuff about the opposition. Instead of clingers on like Andy Townsend & Robbie Earle , why not get almost a specialist in the field of Italian/German/Spanish/French football? Someone who watches a particular league all the time, knows the teams and what the players are capable of. It would be so much better than listening to faux-analysts who don't really have a clue who's who and just make it up. Plus i shouldn't have to put the match on mute to get rid of the commentary, i want to be able to hear the crowd, etc.

If i had it on mute i never would have heard the deafening roar from the San Siro when we beat Lyon last year in the CL. The crowd were monserous in their vocality, so much so that when they cut to Gabby Logan in her little san siro studio, the camera was shaking from all the vibrations of noise and feet stamping ... plus you could hardly hear her over the din, it was a magnificent image

that really is letting off some steam Jim

The brown nosing of Utd never seems that apparent to me, they undoubtedly favour the English teams but thats to be expected of English broadcasters with an English audience. Utd get more praise simply because they play better football than the machines of Liverpool and Chelsea, Arsenal always get more praise than them too but as they are out nobody talks about them

The commentators are largely idiots though, you are certainly right about that. The funniest thing in the Utd-Milan game was at 1-0 when Pleat said something like "there will surely be more goals because of all the quality attacking players Utd have" a minute later Kaka equalised and he said "see, like i was saying, more goals because of the quality attacking players....erm, both teams have.."

They really do need to find more knowledgable pundits from somewhere, it really isnt that difficult to keep up to date with European football, especially if your being paid to do so!

I think we will go through.
United played a better first leg, esp in the second half, but the return leg in San Siro will be a different matter.

The only reason why I never mute Milan games- Curva sud! the best crowd in the world! Have you seen Old Trafford 20 minutes before the match was half empty?!! I went into the San Siro on Milan-Inter and Curva was full 2 hours before the kick off....

We will need big help from the crowd, unfortunately I didnt get the tickets so I will not be in to help Milan. I'll just have to scream in front of the TV.

But that's not very nice Mister Jim, I mean, we're supposed to be professionals, represent the class of Milan and stuff...oh hell.

*adjusts mike*

Clive Tyldesley is a Man. Utd buttock licking brown noser! Thank you.

I can't bring myself to watch Milan games on mute for the very same reason Jim and Mrki mentioned, the CURVA MAN! I still remember that Lyon game. And more recently the first derby in October, especially in the second half... that was a rocking atmosphere! We're gonna need them on Wednesday, that's for sure. I have a feeling the curva might have something planned that touches on Istanbul...

Inzaghi is fit for man utd

Pippo Inzaghi is polishing his scoring boots for Wednesday’s semi-final against Manchester United, as he seems certain to push Alberto Gilardino on to the bench.

I feel ready and am in good shape,” said the Milan striker. He is the best Italian scorer in Champions League history with 40 goals in 67 games – 56 in European competition overall – and netted a crucial strike in the 2-0 quarter-final victory at Bayern Munich

Now it's gonna be a hot night tomorrow.
I think we should prefer Pippo over Gilardino as Inzaghi has been great in the Champions Leaque so far.
If we play with full concentration like we did the first half in Manchester and don't concede any stupid goals like in Manchester we WILL go through.

Forza Milan.
