it says on www.planetmilan.com that milan are looking to sign 19 year old youni gourcouff from rennes as a replacement for rui costa, the player wants to join milan but rennes are asking for 7m while galliani is offering 6m .. not sure if the news is true though

This is true mk18. And based on what I've been reading in French papers over the last week, he is virtually a Milan player - visited Milenello too according to Le Parisien.
He is a bit raw, only 19 y.o., and not only possess very fine skills but was a drivin force behind Rennes, with Kallstrom in my modest opinion, last season. He can develop into a world class player in a couple of seasons and he is Gallas's contractual situation.
Interesting to see the French connexion apparently Milan is creating.

OK. Thus far we have Gallas and Yoann Gourcuff comming 99%.

It's nice to have Yoann Gourcuff comming, I actually never heard of him but I hope that the manegament know what they are doing. If they say (and a lot of the MManiacs too) that he is a potential world class and already a nice player then be it. But, but, but....he IS 19 and I dont think we can expect that much from him just yet! Pretty much like Kaka when he was comming. My point is that if Rui leaves than who can tell for sure if Yoann Gourcuff will provide enough backup/cover for Kaka?

On Gallas..I said that I'd preffer we don't get him and get someone else instead. Well, if Milan (and MManiacs) think he is good enough then so be it.

However, I've thought of another player that could really add depth to the squad and could be on the moove as well.

In my opinion he is someone who would look to proove himself and moreover I think he is really a calm/cool player that never panics, really covers alot of space at the back. I mean really good. If someone could find more info on him, it'd be cool. Im just to laisy

Maybe we are not signing him because we signed Amoroso this season and as far as I know teams in the Serie A are limited to signing one non EU player from outside of the Serie A per season. If he goes to Roma however....

today we signed Favalli, and have been linked to Vucinic and Ibrahimovic.....If Juve have to sell off players we should get Zambrotta and Buffon

Just finished watching the CL final - nice game with lots of action and drama in it. barca won the game in the end but Arsenal are the moral winners IMO - played 70+ min with 10 men and were the better and more composed team until the final quater of an hour when their legs were simply too tired.
Both Eto'o and Henry played very well and as long as we go for one of them in case Sheva goes, I am not a bit worried for Milan's future.
Other players that deserve mention are Larsson from barca and Fabregas, Eboue, Toure, campbell, and especially Lungberg from Arsenal ... speaking of a fast, extremely hardworking and versatile player, who can play both on the wings and in midfield (Seedorf's position would suit him, I think), Lungberg's gotta be on top of my list.

yeah i'd agree with all of that Zlatanov, i thought Ljungberg had probably his best game of the season for Arsenal, he'd been quite peripheral in the league but he looked sharp and threatened Barca a few times tonight. I thought Hleb and Cole did well too, Hleb actually fit inot Arsenal's system a lot better than usual tonight and Cole did well to last the pace as he has only played 2 games since his comeback from a long injury.

Ljunberg has always been a top player, but Im constantly impressed by Toure and Eboue. Theres so many right backs around ie Alves, Eboue, Raviellere, Clerc.

Cole should have been subbed too at around 65 min.

if I am not wrong he had some injury problems in the beginning of the season and never really got into his top game until recently. i guess all he needs is a change of venue and new adventures to "wake" him up a bit.
