i know what you mean, its difficult but i think if the ships sinking i would prefer someone else to come in to try and save it, and not go down with the ship which i feel will happen with Carlo. Fix a sinking ship.. if we could get a goalee, 2 defenders (RB +CB) and a decent striker we might be ok.

I think he won't get sack until lat feb or march or into april unless the management sees that Milan is really far from obtaining the 4th spot. As to the current Champion League, we can always come back and talk about it in Feb because it won't start again until then and who knows what will happen...

the issue is that management keep insistin' the current crop of players are capable of gettin' results and thus nothin' (or close to it) will be done to help fix our problems... and if that is the case... which manager will wanna come aboard? no one in their right frame of mind will consider the team we have good enough & with no reinforcements headin' our way... the new manager will not be able to produce the results... so basically we are still stuck... i'll all for a new manager... but i rather have new reinforcements come in durin' the January TW & should Ancelotti fail to deliver... than we can bid him farewell...

Then, what we are speaking about here are mostly unrealistic, because we don't know the financial statement of milan, we don't know how management works, we don't know enough about soccer or digging new players (scouts can do a lot better)... Think about this: How realistic you think will Milan be active in Janurary and actually save the team? Will it be a REALISTIC one that will solve LONG-TERM problem? Then, think about our next summer. How realistic it is that Milan will be able to overhaul the whole squad etc? What makes you (plural) believe that new players will immediately produce result? Most importantly, if Milan management were dedicated to buying new players, why would people want Ancelotti to go, since he probably is still one of the best coaches in the world any way? There are just too many assumptions in some of the arguments here that needs further clarification / evidence. It's easy to say, "We should buy Martin because he is fast", or "We shouldn't buy Ronaldo because he is fat". but is that a reality? Who is actually better? How good is our judgement really? |

well... for a start the coach seldom takes the glory when the team wins... but always take the blame when things go wrong... thus people naturally tend to think sackin' the coach will be the solution...
ok... so we don't know how management works... what are our financial statements... etc... so let's close the forum altogether... since we don't know much to have valid comments... but that's what the forum is exactly about... mostly for us the fans to discuss things... despite our lack of knowledge... isn't it? like you said... we don't know much about how things work... so i can't for sure say how we will do things durin' the January TW & durin' the summer... but at least by gettin' reinforcements is a start... surely we NEED reinforcements... or you are expectin' Costacurta & Maldini to lead our defence for the next decade or so? no right? than where do the new players come from? possibility our primavera squad tho Ancelotti doesn't seem confident enough in them to actually play them... thus leadin' to the high possibility that we will need to buy... new players may not produce results... but the fact is our current players are not doin' so either... so by stickin' to them isn't goin' to be enough... is it? thus isn't it logical to try to find the solutions we are lackin' by gettin' new players? i said previously if we get new players... Ancelotti should be given his chance with them... and should he fail... only should he be replaced... as to "who is actually better?"... surely not what we have at the moment... else why would we be strugglin' to score goals... strugglin' to not concede goals... err... isn't it obvious? |

You should have been supporting Milan long enough to know that what our management says in the media is the MAJORITY of the time not what is actually going to happen. Of course we need reinforcements and of course they know that. As for the Ancelotti issue, I don't believe he should be sacked at all. A plumber can't fix the toilet without the right tools now can he. People complain about Carlo not giving enough chances to our Primavera players but let's be realistic. This is Milan we are talking about not Ascoli or Lecce. You can't just put any random 18-19 year old in the first team when we need results. When you need results..you go to your experienced/proven players.

2) Forum is of course for discussion, but a sensible one. Accusing the management for doing nothing without admitting that Milan has been poor in keeping the bottom line in balance is, nevertheless, a lack of insight. When we say valid comments, we are talking about things that you have evidence, or things that people can deduce. For example, you may want to support the idea of buying Suazo because he is fast and pacy, something that MIlan lacks now esp. when Shevchenko is gone. This is valid. Saying that Suazo will solve the problem because he is fast is another point. Because pace is NOT the only problem Milan has right now (other problems include creativity, corner, free-kick etc.) 3) Have I ever said that we don't need reinforcement? I'm sure you don't mean that, but the question is there are not tons of talents out there. AND, Bonera is one of those better, I hope, and MIlan has already gotten him. Nobody seems to give the management ANY credit for buying this guy. Howa bout Gourcoff? isn't he YOUNG enough to be considered a reinforcement? I agree that Defense need further reinforcement, but is the situation as bad as it sounds if Nesta was not out for like 3 months and Cafu got injured on and off. Now what if t hese injured players are back, and where will these 'reinforcements' do? It seems like they eventually will reinforce the team but how? by kicking Nesta or Kaladze out of the starting XI? I agree with the Management's approach to slowly buy new fresh, young players (e.g., Kaka, Bonera, Gorkcoff), because you just can't pull together a young team and hope that things go well. Look at Ajax. I don't think they come close to being the best. So yes, I agree that reinforcement is needed. I'm not sure why I actually have to state such a basic statement here. 4) the Martin vs. Ronaldo example is not to show whether Milan or INter is better. I'm asking which strikers are better. Martin is fast, pacy etc., but he can't score. Ronaldo is fat, and slow, but hellya he scores. THis means that it's not just pace that is mandated... you need players who have the skills as well. |

Ancelotti jumps! Rifondatore Lippi of the Milan with Maldini vice president
08:31 of 12 December Sure the divorce to fine season, but the park bench of Ancelotti is to endured risk: decisive next the three contests before the pause. The rifondatore of the Milan will be Lippi, that it would have already caught up the agreement for june. The former ones ct of Italy asks the purchases for Amelia, Oddo, Zambrotta, Iniesta or Xavi and one between Trezeguet and Fernando Torres. (Courier of the Sport) The Valencia wants Carl Ancelotti and the Milan wants Marcello Lippi like trainer for the next year. The voices are run after: the Real Madrid not Kaką motivating force, the rossoneri thinks next to Buffon and Toni. An indiscretion also on the future of Maldini, than to fine season could become operating vice president. For January, beyond next to Oddo, the Milan thinks to one between Been born them, Iaquinta and David Villa. For june already it has been blocked Keita of the Lille. (the Republic)

I was just about to post that as well..according to newspaper headlines, Carlo is almost 100% out at the end of the season. But from what I've read it's more like he's resigning more than being sacked. Who is 'born them??!!!!' Those translation sites are the best lol.

I'm officially offering my services to help you when you need translation from Italian, and i'm offering you 20 EURO per month as long as you don't put such translations here anymore. ![]() The names translation rocks. I remember 2 years ago a confussion made when one guy used babel fish for translation and it turned out that Juve is after the church . It took us very long to find out Juve is not trying to sign a church, but they were after Chiesa ![]() Also, Fiore and Tedesco, both pretty good players, can make a confussion if you write their names in babel fish, and translate them from Italian to English. Lets say.... Try to write this, using babel fish : Milan vuole Fiore Tedesco ( Milan wants Fiore and Tedesco) |
