Gila can hold the ball? How many times did I see him losing the ball? Lets see...so often that I cannot even count. Gila is a master of falling down and appealing to the ref for a penalty or a yellow card. But you know what I think..in every team there should be a player with such character or abilities (I dont know how to call this talent precisely), bcoz such player can really bring penalties sometimes...and sometimes red cards for opponent players. Although, such players should really do it less often, not as Gila almost every 5 minutes. As for Inzaghi...he recently almost doesnt play - so why is he being blamed now? What do you want from a player who comes on a sub 5 - 10 minutes before the end of the match. As for who I would buy..I would probably buy Kerzhakov, Arshavin, Toni, Rooney or some other player, but, honestly, not Gila, RO or Ronaldo - and definately not all 3 of them. I d spend these money for other good players, proven good players. And also I d do all the possible and impossible things, but I d make Sheva stay in the team and finish his career with Milan. I think it is pretty obvious that we should not have bought these three: Gila, RO and Ronnie. How did all 3 end up in Milan - I dont know. If Gila and RO would cost less money (at least 50 - 60% less their price when we bought them) I d probably bought them, but not for those money that Milan paid for them. As for Ronaldo, him I would not take even for free - his age, recent achievements and weight - that is why.

The list of players you mentioned is also a bit off.... Toni at 31 is at his absolute peak atm.....you can't compare him with Gila who is not even 25. Toni has at most three years at the top level...Gila can easily have ten. The other players you have mentioned have not been tested at the level Gila has so who's to say that they can surpass him .Rooney is perhaps more talented however his scoring is just as erratic although I'd prefer him to Gila because he helps build up attacks The only players in his age group that I can definitely say have proven themselves better than Gila are Villa, Rooney, Eto'o - NONE of whom are proven in Italy. Personally I think he is a second rate striker and would perhaps flourish elsewhere...but we have to give him credit for the good he has done even though it to me seems little. Also there is nothing we could have done again to keep Sheva here. HE WANTED TO GO!! It makes no sense forcing a player who has lost his passion for the shirt.

Uhh.......ROONEY?!
How is he a better option than Gila??!! He scored ONE goal in CL in two years! And this year, he's playing with a team who's in phenomenal form, and he STILL isn't scoring much. He has THREE goals more than Gila when he's playing for the best team of the league. He hasn't scored a single goal for England in nearly THREE years! MASSIVELY overhyped if you ask me. Throw in his huge wage bills and attitude problems, and you've got urself a waste of money. Gee, I really don't understand the attitude of some of the posters here, with all due respect. But I personally feel a tad annoyed with you're acting like we're stuck with the worst players in the world and fighting a relegation battle in Serie C with Moratti as our president or something...... And.......c'mon, these guys are fighting for the team we love. During the middle of a difficult season like this, we need to get behind them and give them our vote of confidence!! Whenever we feel gutted by a result, some of them must feel 10000x worse. When we know for sure that they've failed us or when they pack up their bags and leave, then we can start to criticize them. This is just my stance on being a fan though. I'm just asking you to consider them. You are, of course, welcome to support Milan in your own ways. |

Lilly is right about Rooney.. and also 95% right about the rest :P Gila deserves the criticism he gets, because its been a season and a half and he still hasn't performed consistently. How much more support should we give him? Im fed up of supporting him no matter what, support him in his bad patches, support him when he misses easy chances, support him when he wastes valuable goals.. When will he come in handy? when will he be the 24million euro Gilardino that we bought?

Lilly if you can show support when the team doesn't do its job properly then you're a better person than i am and probably everyone else here. You talk about the players fighting for the team, well i'm sorry they just don't show that at times. Look at the most recent derby match, we were poor, slow to everything and got beat. Why? Because there was no heart, no passion and no fight. This is the derby! They shouldn't need winding up for this match, they should be stomping their feet and snarling like 100 gattusos combined for this match! If it doesn't mean anything to them then they deserve everything they get for performances like this.
If you perform badly in your job, do you expect your manager to go 'there there, it's ok, you'll do better next time' and if you keep with the poor performances do you expect to keep your job over time? No, you'll get sacked. What i'm saying is yes, support the team through the bad times, show them strength and loyalty BUT at times they will deserve to get criticised for poor performances. There has to be some middle ground, you can't blindly love everything they do when they play poorly, that's just madness. The same way it's madness to criticse everything they do on a daily basis. Also it won't matter who we get in what position, we'll never all be happy with the players brought in.

Ok so let's have this scenario. We sell Gilardino(the best/second best we have currently). Then what ? We're left with Pippo, who'll retire soon, Oliveira who you'll don't like either and Borriello who is just plain Borriello. We'll need to buy probably two-three strikers this offseason if we sell Gilardino. Wise business move? or not? Selling our leading scorer in Serie A who is 24-25 years old and being left with two 30+ strikers and an Oliveira..doesn't sound too good to me.

Then about the players I have named before...Kerzhakov, for instance, is playing really good for Seviglia..he scores and makes assists from the very first match for his new team. But again, my point there was not to name the players who Milan should have bought in my opinion, but to show that the players we bought are not good and for the same money Milan could have bought better ones: young, with a huge potential, scoring goals. I am here not blaming them all really (Ronaldo, RO and Gila), I am just saying that I m shocked that these 3 ended up in Milan all together. Our only attacking threat at the moment is Kaka. But if we dont get a 4th place or if we dont win the CL this year he ll leave Milan. And then what are we going to do? Who were mostly bringing us goals in these recent years, who all the players were trying to mark at all costs? Sheva (who already have left) and Kaka (who might leave Milan if we dont get a satisfying him position this year). You can say whatever about Sheva...he deserves a lot more than just "thank you", and unfortunately we still cant get better since he left. We cannot adapt the team to play good without him. And this is just one player. If we lose another player of same importance - Kaka, then we are going to be fighting for Seria A, and can forget about CL and Scudetto for some time. It is really bad that in the team there is only one attacking threat - which is a midfilder. We need to get good strikers, and we need to get them as soon as possible. As for Gila, even though he is young - he is not getting better...he is actually getting only worse. So then, is his age really so important for us? I dont know. All of written above is not a personal attack or arguement. It is just my opinion, my thoughts and feelings .

No Jeff you are totally wrong. Seedorf, Dida, Pirlo have all come in handy and did play consistently for a while, they are only not performing well this year. Gila has been pathetic since he joined Milan.
And substituting "Gila" for "Milan" is just utter nonsense. Milan did play well last year for the entire year. We scored the most goals in Europe.. Bah i wont even bother continuing this post ur not worth the time. You will chose not agree whatever I say. |

Forget about this post. I just changed my mind and want this post to be removed. It's not going to be read anyway.

Besides, we're bound to criticize any new player who doesn't score 20+ goals and play well every single game too. Thing is....if you take a look at it, there aren't a lot of available and BRILLIANT strikers who can somehow turn Milan around single-handedly. Who do you guys have on ur minds anyway? Rooney? Torres? 31-yr-old Luca Toni? Unproven Suazo? Gimme a break. How do you know that we'll be better off then?
We missed Ibrahimovic in the summer, and there won't be players like that availabe every day. Gila's pretty damn good already. There are lots of clubs who won't mind having them. Just because he's in bad form doesn't mean he's a bad player. Even when he's in the worst form of his life, he's still always millimeters away from being the hero, miles closer than some of our other players anyway. Our whole team is lethargic and dysfunctional now anyway. Maybe we should fire the club psychologist? (j/k) We should give him one more season, hopefully a normal season to see if he's Milan material. Sometimes you need to wait for any returns on ur investment. (Btw, I don't think RvP would be a bad idea actually....would be difficult to pry him away from Arsenal though....) |

Also, thank God we did not buy Ibra - this arrogant, disgusting person (not even person - bastard!)...What would Milan become if we d sign him?! Milan has its soul, personality...we dont need players like Ibra or Materazzi..Those are so much Inter style - dirty, arrogant, with no respect to anyone. Ibra went to the team in which he should have played from the start. P.S.: There are good and brilliant players...if you dont know them - it doesnt mean that they dont exist. Believe me, there are players who are way better then Gila, and cost less money. And if the team doesnt play well, that means that probably the new players that were brought in by club's management do not fit. And if they dont fit well - then we need to try some other players. We cannot just sit and wait for a miracle!
