AC Milan captain Massimo Ambrosini commented on his contract extension....
I thought we would have learnt from the Dida, Oddo, Seedorf, Kala, Favalli situation... we keep tying with these OLD players to long contracts near the end of their USEFULL life... and then we end up with a lot of unwanted long tooth players earning a lot for not playing... we should be rebuilding with young players...

Yes, it's disappointing to see Ambro sign a new contract. I hope he proves me wrong.

Relax guys. It's only til 2011. As for the Juande Ramos thing, what happened to the Milan philosophy of promoting from within? Of getting only ex-Milan players to coach the team?

The same thing that has happened to milan's philosophy of only signing quality players to wear the milan jersey, flushed down the toilet.

Some of you are pretty naive if you think that FIFA and UEFA do a fair job in today's football and that they punish ones who deserve it and leave out ones who dont. Money is only thing that moves UEFA and FIFA, there is no justice in there. Its like you fell from Mars yesterday and understand nothing about the functions of UEFA.

Ribery: " everyone talks about Kaka', but Milan has done a great mistake by selling one of the future's best players like Gourcuff. He has the spirit of Zidane when you play with him on the pitch, he is a genious player" Well it looks like to Ribery Yoan is not "too slow" and "only proven in French league" and "cant replace Kaka' as an AM" etc... While Dinho is great for that job for some illusional reason.

according to tuttomercato Milan will recdive 100-150 mln in the winter and will invest in mercato starting with David Silva. Great, great plan. First we sell best players in the world then we get new sponsors and invest money few months later.

UEFA/FIFA (even if it's true that they're not always fair, of course), Berlusconi and his will to ruin the club (?!), ...

Anyway, what interests me the most is the second part of your post, is it serious ? What sponsor will give us all that money ? And why would we invest all ?

I disagree with the last part of your post where you criticize, but you don't decide when you receive the money ... what would be logical would be to spend for example 65-70M of that money and keep the other amount of it to balance the books. If we are really to receive those 100M and if we spend 100M, I would say that our management is unlogical in the way they run the club (let's see what will happen).

sorry mrki what uefa and fifa injustices are you talking about you can't accuse them of being corrupt and unfair if you don't mention a specific case in which these governing bodies have been unfair.

My response to the second part of you statement is that if Milan do have any investment coming into the club it would used far more affectively if the management used the majority of the cash to replace the more expensive and unproductive players in the team. In addition if there is a cash surplus left after transfer activities that the cash should be used to upgrade some of the club infrastructure i.e. make facilities at the san siro more cost efficient, use of horizontal integration. will need facilities at within the club that will supply the club with additional funds in the long term.

ps mrki please stop bringing up Gourcuff haven't you kicked the dead corpse enough it happened 4 months ago get over it. I am much more concerned with the paloschi situation. The president of Parma is already starting a war of words to keep the player it seems that is completely opposed to the concept of Parma losing the player.

UEFA and FIFA ulterior motive is to restore the original balance of power in club football which was anywhere except England... secondly its about money... its like not paying a cop to cancel a trafic ticket... shame on chelsea... they should have given FIFA and UEFA the bag they desired.

Fantastic the Silva's tale, but imo it's only smoke on our eyes,

Maybe people should stop tellign other posters what to post. The Gourcuff situation is totally and utterly Milan related, current to the playmaker crisis we have, relevant to the lack of youth, energy and creativity we have, proof of the current management's poor leadership and an insight into what will happen with Gourcuff. And please dont anybody say, we wont make the same mistake twice. We never learned from losing Viera over keeping faith in Ambrosini.

i am not telling him to stop i am just asking him politely anyway what do you gain by continuously moaning about Gourcuff. in the long term Milan will gain another player like Gourcuff or Vierra and maybe they might even prove themselves at Milan. the situation is that Gourcuff is gone but Paloschi isn't and if we are to mount some sort of opposition or even a consensus opinion to Paloschi being sold on than we need to forget about Gourcuff. The only outcome of discussing Gourcuff on a prolonged basis is that we accuse management of being incompetent again, a opinion that the majority of Milan fans share.

That is your opinion. My opinion is that the boy has a history with the club. This history will pop up again and again. When he resigns for us or signs for one of our opposition. When he plays for us or against us. He is something that you cant hide from. So why try. So talking about him is like talking about Rafinha, Hernanes or anyone else. They are all fantasy signings. Infact anyone half decent is now a fantasy signing. So why talk about one over the other. It wouldnt be the strangest thing in the world if Gourcuff came back.

Some ppl say that Gorky could have been Kaka's replacement. That is not true in my opinion. However, i think that he was the perfect replacement for Seedorf. there is a lot of value in that.

My biggest problem is that adding a 15 mil buyout clause is dumb. Its enough money that he would have to play very well for his club to want to buy him, which is exactly what you hope happens when you loan a player out. You expect them to get playing time and to improve because of it.

But he is the past. in the future we need to be able to bring back-

Alberto Paloschi- Duh, he is Inzaghi's replacement.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang-Has improved a huge amount the past few years, he is very good talent. We cant let him get away too

^^^ It will pop up again and again , but there is nothing we can do about it. If Bordeaux had offered us 15 million last summer we all would of bitten off their hand. No one could of predicted how well Gourcuff would of been ( still nowhere near Zizou even when Zizou was his age..NOWHERE NEAR) MGT made a boob by putting in Bourdeaux could have him for 15 million , but they didnt mess up that bad. While at Milan Gourcuff was mediocure at best. And I know that some people say he didnt get a chance he got plenty even if it wasn't 8 games in a row. When you get a chance you take it he got several and took none of them. So he went on loan played well and got sold end of story on Yoann.
