I want to add that Onyewu was a very big and popular player at standard!!! in many interviews this season they say they really miss him in defense. gooch was as important for them as jovanovic is. I have many friends who support standard and they would die to get onyewu back. Jovanovic on the other hand... many fans want him out becouse he doesnt have the right mentality.

I was talking about Dzeko/Jovanovic because our winter mercato is done finished with Beckham and Adiyiah. So just speculating as I know what our MGT want a squad that is cheap and can finish in the top four to gain CL qualification and reach the quarter finals at best we will no longer sign great established players or real quality up and coming players unless Berlu sell's or has a change of heart and invests big. Im not happy about it but it's the way thing's will happen IMHO opinion.

You know, maybe if Serie A loses a spot in CL, B & G might then force to start buying actually good players in order to remain in CL.

Maybe but sh1t I don't want that to happen. It just befuddles me wtf are these clowns doing actually wtf is Berlu doing I mean I think that Galliani would spend if he could but he doesn't sign the checks. Do the realise that 13 of our squad are a year away from retirement I honestly wonder are the going to close down the club in the summer of 2011 i really do I aint trying to be funny.

... or maybe, we will just have to face the music and accept the reality that Milan is becoming a 2nd-string club, when all we could afford now is the purchase of players with calibre like Jovanovic and Onyewu simply because they are free.

It is rough on us fans, especially after the two glorious and luxuries decades.

Its true Xudong,i was about to say it,but i am glad we realise how the situation is currently.

This mercato-strategy of our MGT will lead to Milan becoming a second-string club, players like Onyewu,Jovanovic are never and will never be good enough for Milan, but they are free so we offer them contract......doing this one, maybe two times isnt that bad,but our MGT will continue doing this, which means the club will be filled with second string players no time, meaning our club will not be at the top of the world anymore.....

If you look at it,its our old guard(Pirlo,Rino,Nesta,Dida(?),Zambrotta, even Ronaldinho)who are

If Berlusconi truly intends to do things that way, then he better stop acting like he is the savior of AC Milan the way he does now. He bailed this team out of a major hole only to push it back down the hole again.

You people are a riot. Nowhere has it ever explicitly said that Galliani is actually working to keep Dida in Milan with an extension.

And relying on a rusty Abbiati and his gimpy knee (which apparently qualifies as being fit and ready to play to most of the guys on here) to be our #1 again is just plain bonkers.

I'm with Blacktop, most of you are crazy. We're second. We're in the second round of the CL. All that after most of you said we'll be lucky to make it to Europa. Changes will happen incrementally, you can't replace the entire team in one go.

My optimistic hope this winter is that we sell Kaladze and Huntelaar, and get a younger CB and Krasic while parking Adiyah in Livorno.

there is a BIG difference in signing crap like adiyiah, onyewu and jovanovic like players, or change the team in one go!! I think also you are realising that most of our key players our 1or 2 seasons away from retirement (inzaghi, seedorf, max, gattuso, nesta, zambrotta, dida, jankulovski), they cant go on forever. But at this moment we have only a few players who can step in, players who are really milan class. We should slowly build from here with some new players, fullbacks for example, as jankulovski and zambrotta arent good enough anymore. Anyway, thats just like, my opinion man

man i want to be optomostic but it's so hard when i see what galliani does renewing 32 year olds like gattuso, 36 year olds like dida. I love them both, but not everyone can be renewed till they are 40, and not on high wages. Weren't we trying to cut our wage bill to have more money???

I remember albertini left when he was 32. He was my fav, but you know it happens. He was declining, wanted a new challenge. time was right. He will always be milan to me... We can't be renewing EVERYONE.

So jovanovic doesn't bother me as much, he's pretty talented and good depth. Backup for dinho for free? Sounds good. Anyway we need an attacker who is experienced but not too old to back up pato. Pato is only 20. But it's more looking at midfield, seeing my favorites like pirlo, seedorf struggling to play every week, not cause of skill, but cause of reality, they can't physically play every 3 days. Seedorf is a perfect example, we see how great he looks whenever he is rested. But when he starts twice a week for 3 weeks straight, we see... his passes r worse, he runs slower etc. etc. etc.

Why cant we have 1 young promising midfielder to rotate w/ pirlo and seedorf (keeping both fresh and getting him enough time to grow). Why can't we have 1 young CB w/ promise? etc. etc. etc.

Kaladze is as good as gone, and it's up to him if he wants to rot on the bench while collecting millions, or leave to play and collect less. He won't be playing with us anymore.

Bonera will be back, and so will Thiago Silva. We may need a another backup if Kaladze leaves, but othewise it's not a priority.

Our most important missing piece is the full back. We can't keep plugging the holes with the likes of Antonini and Abate. We need a real FB, left or right.

The major changes can wait until the summer. Dzeko or whoever.

In the "likely event" that both TS and Nesta get injured, then we suffer, as we should. It's a rare occurrence that you can't really plan for. We play Bonera and Albertazzi/Favalli. No need to buy another great defender just in case BOTH our starters fail. Look at what happened at Man Utd. It's a freak occurrence, and you just live with it.
Talk about "real stuff?" The real thing is that we have a disaster "WAITING" to happen in the heart of our defense. A time bomb ticking away my friend.... YOU have seen what has happened when either Nesta and Silva have been injured. JUST ONE OF THEM..... We conceed Many goals.

And you say it will be ok if this happens and is just a freak occurence? Bonera is sure coming back, but you think you can just put him onto the field after so many months out (It is called match fitness!)??? And you think, if fighting for a top three finish and the CL, we can afford to have untried youngsters such as Albertazzi playing???? And you think Favalli would do much better?????

As I said myself, buys like Dzeko should be arriving in January, and you agree.... But brushing away the obvious problem in our centre of defence?? Now who is making up straw men? I agree full heartedly about our full back problem, but just dismissing the CB problem like that was very naive of you.

Davide Astori should fulfill that role.... But he won't be back till next season

Bright side=2nd in the league for now, and Round of 16 Vs ManU in the CL.
Down side=Nesta is playing hurt, the core of the team can't play 2 games per week two weeks in a row, and at least 5 players should not be playing in Milan after the summer but knowing B and G, most of them will be back.

Personally, it sickens me to see players who just showed lack of respect for the club, fans and the sports in general when they seem disinterest in playing and just wander off some where in space. Not going to name any of the players here as I am sure you all know who they are. The excuse of can't play good-great 180 mins of football per week is acceptable but that does not mean they can just walk around the pitch and not work hard. Since they are making tons and tons of money for being on the field.
