Before criticizing this choice, read the quote of Galliani:

And where will he play on midfield? We don't use winger and a winger on left-central or right-central midfield is normally not effective in formation 4-3-1-2.

we all expect Pato became world's best yet we have to wait. Lets not forget that Pato is always a match winner when he is on fire, if he doesnt injure, he always will be useful. he has to work hard, sacrifice himself for the team, tactically and mentally off course he should improve. Messi and Ronaldo are leading their teams and scoring so much goals, and however we shouldnt forget they are doing it in La Liga. where the likes of Higuain score so much as well...

Emanuelson was a player that i liked much a few years ago, and however he was always weak defensively, offensively he is really good, can make good runs, dribbles and fast. he is already 24 and cheap solution. a useful addition if you ask me, we dont have a player like him on the left wing, a Serginho kind of player, who can make good offensive contribution.

i hope we are there to deal for C.Eriksen too.

Allegri in the pre-Cesena game press conference just said that he would like to have Emmanuelson right now because he is dynamic(al?) and technical ... and that for him, he's a midfielder even if he can play as a LB. He also said that he doesn't think anymore that Lazzari will come.

So it seems the coach has something in the head with this move. And like usually, we are after a player that we weren't linked with at all.

If he's our midfielder, and with Ziegler refusing our offer (it seems the deal was reached with all parts and it's the player himself who refused to come at the end, his agent decided to leave him because of that), who will be the defender/LB coming ?!

This guy is fast, can take freekick, cross & shoot with weaker foot.

They described him as a left mezz'ala. Bringing him in summer, means we are not going for Constant. I really liked Constant a great deal, he was very strong, technical, fast and smart. Emaneulson I wasn't ever impressed with.... If Emanuelson is here to be our Jankulovski replacement he's welcome, but I sure hope he is not going to take a midfield spot.

IMO, he's a downgrade from Antonini, Ziegler and Criscito at LB, and he's a downgrade from Lazzari and Constant in the middle, however he is an upgrade over Zambrotta and Jankulovski.

Great singing, probably the best and cheapest signing after Flamini, in thr economic sense.

First, who's Emmanuelson? I don't remember him when we played them for some reason, and why would we need a Left Wing Mid? This move sounds frankly ridiculous. Why not Jucilei, Ganso, or Honda? Why waste money on a guy who can't defend and plays Left Wing? I'm sure it will be a pretty penny too, because he's 24, and a good player in a good team. I'm very confused, I hope we don't have Rafa Benitez in disguise coaching us...

Secondly, what happened with Ziegler? He refused to come to AC Milan? Would rather play with Sampdoria? and his agent left him? HAHA what's this news today Im laughing about it all....

I've never watched this guy play, but his abilities enable us more strategies, such as 4231 formation:

However, 2 cup-tied players at the same time is not very good.

Emanuelson is not that bad, he is pretty good player, he was highly rated by dutchs and sport media few years ago, was talking about him as very good Left wing back and however he progressed slowly since then, then moved to midfield. he is weak defensively. (like Coentraro) But yet he is very good on offense. he has speed, movement and dribbling skills. His finishing is not bad for a left wing back oriented player, as he scored 8 goals for Ajax last season. He is playing with regularity in Ajax's line up.

Milan needs to replace Seedorf and Ambro in short term, so we will sign great players to replace them. just a problem of time if you ask me. We have a complete young midfielder in Merkel, who is very impressive so far who can be used in midfield trio as well as trequartista role.
