Don't see why as he was pretty good but the one player who shouldn't have come off was Fabregas, IMO. I know he was probably tired but still ...
and maybe Reyes coming in for Hleb (with Ljungberg going to the right) would have made Arsenal much more dangerous in attack. instead they were content with sitting back, leaving Henry isolated up front, and all barca had to do is keep knocking on the door, knowing that earlier or later someone would open it up.
I am just guessing but I think that's what Henry was trying to tell to Wenger on a number of ocassions throughout the whole second half.

yeah thats true, he had injury troubles and missed about 15 league games. I think he turned the corner against City, he scored his first (and only) league goal against them and was back to carrying the ball and getting into dangerous positions. If he does get back to his best then i'd certainly like to see him at Milan too, i think he'd work well with Kaka even though they make similar bursts from midfield...

I donno really, but Cole didn't seem do defend really well at the end and bringing in that other LB (the young one they have) would've done wonders. Ljundberg played well I guess but got tired and Reyes in his place would've done nicely to connect Henry! Reyes runns a lot too.

Or Ljundberg could've gone to the right.

Now, it came to me that if Kaka did against Barca what Hleb did to them and if Pirlo/Seedorf did what Ljundberg did...we would've whoooped them

A recap on my thoughts for the next season:
Mascherano now is my number one to be signed for the MF. Over Daniele De Rossi, over Poulsen and over Diarra. Next in line is Crespo to create an Argentinian connection.
As for a Sheva replacement Henry is number one.
And we need a solid right back and then we are set.

So to fine tune this some..

------------------------------------SHEVA--------------
--------------HENRY------------------------------------
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
----------------------------KAKA-----------------------
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
----SEEDORF--------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------RINO------
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
-------------------PIRLO--------------------------------
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
MAREK--------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------ODDO
-------------------------------GALLAS------------------
-------------NESTA-------------------------------------
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
-------------------------DIDA---------------------------

Doesn't it look awesome?

Should Oddo not be signed it would maen problems, he really gives this lineup a punch!
And in order for it to work, Kaka needs to run up and down the pitch alot more, not be laisey and just sit up! he needs to come down next to Rino and pick up the ball, and also Seedorf needs to do more of a Ljunberg performance. With Henry ang Gallas it'd be perfect. And the kick is in playing Gallas in between Oddo and Nesta!..And we could sub Marek for Maldini, Vogel for Pirlo and Serginho for Seedorf. Greeaaat! And Marek paying attention to defence.

And rotation-wise, we'd have Diarra or Mascherano doesn't really matter to cover for Pirlo/Rino. GET HENRY!!!! What else? Hmmmm......if Sheva leaves get Crespo and Gallas for him and buy HENRY and play Crespo instead of Sheva, everything else the same But having seen this lineup Sheva could stay and if Seedorf and Kaka promise to run more Hehe

P.S.
If we dont go for Gallas, then Edu could be great where I've put Gallas. If he does have an Italian passport, thats great, he doesn't count as an nonEU signing then!

Then the whole French thing could be off, we could end up with Poulsen doing the Diarra/Masherano thing and no Henry. In that case we can get David Villa (Torres/Eto'o/RvN), play him where Sheva is and play Sheva where Henry is. If you ask me, just as good.

P.S. 2
Mad props to Arsenal fans, sorry for counting Henry in..

Maybe we are not signing him because we signed Amoroso this season and as far as I know teams in the Serie A are limited to signing one non EU player from outside of the Serie A per season. If he goes to Roma however....
Next season will be Gourcuff's final one at Rennes. His contract, like Gallas, will expire in 2007.

As far as I know, Edu has an European passport (an Italian one, by the way). Does it change everything or not regarding limit of non EU players?

What about Sneijder? He's a very gifted midfielder, and has showed a clear desire to join us. Why not pick him to sub Seedorf, or at least to give a little competition for Clarence? Come on, a little competition for the starting places will do no harm to us, on the contrary!

Well....I agree, he could be just as good as Clarence!

Run Clarence, run

Gre-no-li was first to mention it..........

...................................................................yes! Barzagli can play where Gallas is too!

And what about Barzagli? He seems to be linked to us for awhile by the beggining of the current year, but no one talks anymore about that transfer. I guess it will be a great deal for us, 'cause he's both a young and Serie A proved player. WAKE UP, MILAN!

As far as i know Gorkouff may join us in the summer, with rui finally leaving to portugal. With him we have a player that, as they say on tv, can possibly play as attacking mid and in Seedorf's role.

Gallas sure, Oddo almost.

Kaladze will partner with Nesta for sure, can't see any other better player. He had a fantastic season, why drop him on the bench?

So Gallas will play LB? I was against it the whole season but now I'd prefer to have a more open left flank. Kindof along what I outlined.

I understood that Gourkouff is coming this summer, but i may mistake.

Gallas will play as right back and centreback as well.. as we saw the defenders switch position quite often but to build up a reliable partnership time is necessary, so i don't believe we'll waste the work Nesta and Kaladze did so far, and they did it superbly.
