Rumours say that Tevez to Rennes then to Chelsea. We better snatch him quick if we are after him or else he will be the 7th target we lose this summer. Zambrotta, Ibrahimovic, Crespo, Sobis, Buffon, Torres/Gallas/Diarra (one of them must've been a target).

guys, calm down, obviously this is not a question of money. Mrki, said it himself, if we are ready to pay close to 25mil for a Ronie, why not for Tevez ... it's more than obvious that money and being unwilling to spend was not the reason for not going for Tevez ... there must have been other factors - my guess is character related ones - why Milan has never been reported to be seriously interested in Tevez (or at least all the stories in papers turned out to be daydreaming).
Also, given the Roman-MSI connection - Gilattack11 clarified that Tevez is owned not by Corinthians but by MSI's pres. Kia Jaroobchian (sp?), who happens to be a gerat budy and business partner of Roman's - do you really believe that there ever was any chance Milan would get their hands on Tevez if Chelski were even remotely interested in him ... even if Milan offered those 25 mil and even more? I mean honestly, how stretchy one's imagination has to be believe that given what Chelski have been doing on the transfer market over the past 3 years buying star players by the killo regardless of how overpriced they are? How could someone expect that, in these circumstances, Chelski would allow a talanted player like Tevez to slip away from their "dirty mitts" as Jaime put it?
One other thing though, now Tevez is 22 yo ... I bet a bunch of hairs from my back that before he's 25, he will be on the lookout for a club in Spain or Italy as I give him a season, mostly two, before he realizes why Crespo and Veron failed to settle in in London and that England is not the place for a someone like him. So, don't be too worried about Milan having missed on Tevez for ever, if we want him, I am sure in a couple of years from now we'll have another Crespo-like case staring us in the face.
But until then, try not to blame and curse the management for every single player that goes to Chelski and not Milan

You´re right, zlatanov....Kia works for a Russian magnate called Boris Berezowski(sp?), and the press said in Brazil that Boris and Roman are very close...

A move would obviously favour Chelsea, but i don't think they'd be 100% assured of his arrival.

Wether you like him or not, you can't argue about the guy's talent and goal scoring ability, so it would be a big shame to miss out on such a rare player.

Abramovich and Berezovsky are former business partners, but last year Berezovsky sued Ambramovich for allegedly pressuring Berezovsky to sell Roman his Russian assets cheaply after Berezovsky fled the country. Or at least he announced that he intended to do so, although I haven't seen anything about a trial or any sort of outcome.

I have read this too... Yet I have also read that Man U were making a move (not official, though)...
Since the player was caught wearing a Man U shirt at one of his first interviews after joining Corinthians, I guess he'll rather join Man U than Chelsea, if he goes to England after all...

Too bad Oleg isn't around to explain this whole Berezovsky, Abramovich thing (which I always assumed was molto shady) and how it might affect who gets Mr. Tevez. I did read that Corinthians was pissed off with him for some reason, though...maybe just a cover story so the fans don't get too angry when he is sold for a low, low, "fixed" rate.
