Official: Yoann Gourcuff PERMANENT TRANSFER to Bordeaux

The France game will be exciting since gourky is playing...hopefully he has one of the best fames of his career...surely Ancelotti knew he was this good right?

From what I saw, Gourcuff played very quietly in yesterday match !!
He played like if he had always played in this role for French NT, very mature ...

He impressed a lot of people, when you speak with French people who watched this match, everybody will tell you that the men of this match were Gourcuff, Anelka, Clichy and Toulalan ...

His problem is his physical condition, after 75 minutes, he seemed very tired !! He has to improve in this area.

And like he was presented like the new Zidane when he arrived to Milan, the only thing that is similar to Zidane is his speed !! lol

PS: France played better with Gourcuff as their AM than with Nasri whereas it was his first real selection ... think about that (I tell that for all people who told that it was a shame that we didn't take Nasri when Arsenal did).

What a match by Gorky, he was simply amazing. If he can continue to play like this, Milan can sell him for 40M and people will stay say Milan sold him on the cheap.

The problems for Gorky are his fitness and consistency, if he can maintain both, he will become a great player.

The problems for Milan is that if Gorky is to come back, one if not two of Pirlo, Seedorf and R80 must leave, who could that be????????????????????????

Yes, Carlo made his job in here also. Pato is next!

Anyway, Gourcuff wasn't ready to be a starter in our team, it's clear, I think there's no discussion to have about that (it's past + he didn't play well when he had his chance, even in his first year). The mistake was to take him early, our management should have bought him and loan him immediatly for one year ...

The goal of this loan is to make him play and improve, physically, psychologically and of course, technically too. Laurent Blanc will give him some psychological keys and will make him play, so only benefits for us if we take him back then.

I'm not usually an Ancelotti-basher, but something is wrong when a player spends two years under Carletto struggling and ruining his reputation, and then - for the first time -goes to play under Domenech (the worst coach in the galaxy!) and he shines!

The way I see it, we should bring back Gourcuff next summer to replace Seedorf, and then have him, Kaká and Ronnie to compete for the AM berths.

Do you remember the words put in some Italian newspapers after his first training in Milanello ??

"Gourcuff, il nuovo Zidane" and other stupid titles like this ... the guy simply didn't handle such a pression !!

They should make a law against proclaiming someone "the new Zidane", "the second coming of Maradona" and "the white Pelé" and so on. It only lets down the player, club and fans, once the forecasts don't come true. And then the media (who created the hype) are the first to start lambasting the player.

We have a few of those cases, where young prospects have been hyped (overhyped? - hope not): Besides Gourcuff, I'm thinking about Pato (the new Ronaldo) and Paloschi (the new Inzaghi).

Just watch the way Pato declines...just watch it. Its already started, the boy is being trained by Carlo and Dunga...pooor guy.

Im not saying Wenger is a God, but Wenger gets it right in 95% cases, its true man.
Gourcuff cant play in front of Brocchi but after few months he plays well with France serior team? under THE WORST coach EVER, Domenech?

An interesting read. Have watched Gourcuff a few times this season and he has been exceptional. I remain a big fan of his, and can't believe the raw deal he got at Milan with even Brocchi and Emerson ahead of him in the queue!!

Gourcuff Content With First Start
Man of the match Yoann Gourcuff talked of his impressive French debut with Football365 late last night. Although he was reticent to speak of his own performance, the youngster was pleased to help les Bleus to all three points after a difficult few days…
Although, for the most part, les Bleus were workmanlike last night, there was one shining light during their 2-1 victory over Serbia yesterday evening. AC Milan midfielder, Yoann Gourcuff, who is spending the season on loan with Bordeaux, was at the heart of everything the French side produced going forward.

Gourcuff, who set up Nicolas Anelka’s eventual winning goal and also came close to scoring himself with a searing drive from distance that rattled the bar, spoke of the importance of winning three points. “We all had our hearts set on reuniting the French team with victory,” he said after the match, “I was very disappointed after Austria [a 3-1 loss]. I am very proud to wear this shirt and I wanted to give everything this evening and to ensure France qualifies for the World Cup.”

Playing like a seasoned professional, Gourcuff believes he can produce even stronger performances for les Bleus. “I put in a great deal of effort tonight because I had to defend too… I found a good balance of sweeping up defensively and keeping a link with our forwards. I know of their quality and speed so I tried to find them from deep. I can do better but, for a first start, I am content.”

Inevitably questions were raised about the preparation for the match as the French side, and head coach Raymond Domenech in particular, had come under a great deal of pressure after the loss in Vienna. “There have been enormous criticisms of the French side over the last few days,” Gourcuff stated, “People were impatient and the defeat in Austria called many things into question. Such wrong moves can happen.

“We wanted to play a good match so we could display that we have a strong frame of mind. When the supporters felt we were at 100%, they got behind us and encouraged us and we thank them for that.”

Awarded the man-of-the-match prize as France beat Serbia 2-1, Gourcuff has been hailed as something of a hero in his homeland, which was crying out for such an inspired showing.

Presently at Bordeaux, having joined on a year long loan from AC Milan in the summer, present head coach, Laurent Blanc, has warned that a rapid ascendancy could be hard for the fresh-faced 22 year-old to handle.

“He can be satisfied with his performance,” Blanc appraised to l'Equipe, “Things will not be easy because everything has happened very quickly for the boy. It should not be forgotten that only a few months ago, while with Milan, he was getting very little football – not even 20 or 25 minutes!
