Zlat, what Milan have to be careful about is going outside of "football" authorities, with regards to appealing...since FIFA can sanction not only Milan, but the entire FIGC, were we to pursue this as aforementioned.

So I can understand Milanīs reluctance to take it further, which could result in a more severe backlash against us (from both FIGC and UEFA).

Any update on when UEFA will make up their rat like minds?

Flubio, I get the message... I understand your point...

Billy1969, even Ronaldinho makes fun of his big teeth, but the comparison could really be taken badly... so let's try to find another comparison... I think Jar Jar Binks is a lot more similar... even because of the hair...

Also, guys, dont forget that we are a leading force behind G-14...an organisation that is currently taking FIFA to court..so by flexing its muscles against us, UEFA are putting themselves back into FIFAīs good graces...never for a moment forget the politics that are afoot here...

Anyway, the review will start Thurs. then? Another day of anticipation once again.
You have to bear in mind right now Milan happends to be one of the most hated teams in the world. In Italy, almost all other teams and opposing fans are against us, mostly due to biased opinion and personal benefits from our punishments. Add to this that a lot of the press, which happen to be anti-Milan establishments and pro-Juve or Roma or whatever propaganda, it creates further hatred towards Milan.

In the UK, and I assume many other countries, the exact details have not been told, and usually the media lumps the match fixing scandal as "Milan, Juve, Fiorentina and Lazio are under investigation for match fixing etc". Basically, this means people believe Milan are in the same shoes as the others for example (maybe Juve are described worse off at times). At the same time, they might report what the Italian press have said (which I mentioned is biased) and what the prosecutors will say, which casts us in a very bad light.

The fact is, go up to 90% of these people who claim we're cheaters and ask them to prove our guilt, and they won't reply with anything. The other 10% will say we were asking for specific linesman, without providing evidence to back their point.

Galliani and Cantamessa (our lawyer) have both pointed out that the only evidence against us is a 2 minute conversation, which most, if not possibly all of us here have read and argued is inconclusive and ambiguous at the very least, and especially suspect is in 2 years of recordings, this is all that's found. Unfortunately, most people don't know this or have twisted the evidence as much as possible against us, resulting in our current popularity in football and our punishments.

yah; a lot of people seem to be against Milan, for no obvious reason.

OH wait I know; MIlan won a lot more than other teams. Excuse is needed for them to explain certain unexplicable causes.

Now as previously mentioned some of the English fans are upset with the heavy slashing of penalties, the viewership in the whole of UK is bound to drop. UEFA distributed 430 mn Euros (Agg.) last year to the 32 teams which include 30.4 mn Euros to Liverpool. Why would UEFA want to play with that much amount of money?

I think we will lose our UCL berth perhaps .... may be ... consoled by UEFA cup spot.

-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-

There is a thin line between pessimism and realism.

if UEFA do not decide to let us in the Champions League they will definitely not allow us in the UEFA cup. Their ban would be on both competitions as they represent the federation.

As for the other speculation...People will watch the Champions League with just as much interest as before.

"Now as previously mentioned some of the English fans are upset with the heavy slashing of penalties, the viewership in the whole of UK is bound to drop."

hahahah...this is a very wild statement that has no factual basis.

Let's hope for the best.

Bear in mind that any team that is successful will always be hated. Milan with its rich history of winning makes people very jealous.

Also, it's not just Milan. It's Italy in general. People are very cynical that Italians can do anything right. It's racism pure and simple. Winning the world cup only turned more people against Italians. There are many people who I have spoken to or read in other non-Milan forums that truly believe that Italians are cheats. They have decided that all the clubs are guilty before the trials even started. And they simply refuse to believe that the evidence is just not there to convict Milan.

What I cannot believe is that UEFA are calling this emergency meeting to have a go at Milan so only ethical clubs are admitted... LOL that's funny.

Errr....
Chelski: openly tapping up ashley cole and got fined for it, the whole Frank Arnesen saga, and then tapping up Sheva
financially not viable: lost 53 million pounds in player trading alone, but is funded by a sugar daddy.
Fans allegedly threatened Anders Frisk after CL (barca game 2 years back) to the extent he retired.
Abramovich having his fingers in several different pies, like CSKA moscow (via sibneft) allegedly with spurs and pompey, and supposedly with corinthians. I remember an interview with Kaka where he said that before he decided on Milan, Chelski had tried to buy him, but told him he had to go stay out in CSKA Moscow for a year.

Arsenal with their dodgy dealings with Beveren (belgian club)
Real Madrid: reported by both Chelski and Milan for tapping up players

German teams involved in the whole refereeing scandal stuff, including though unproven a certain Mr. Merk supposedly aiding Bayern Munich against Hamburg.

I must admit I think the chances for us playing in the CHL this season are very slim. UEFA does not tolerate any teams which has "cheated" in any way.
No matter what we think, Milan has been FOUND GUILTY in some kind of "cheating" (or what we call it) and that is why I think we will not be allowed to enter the competition.
But I do hope I am wrong... In less than 24 hours we will know for sure..!

to be honest: why do we still bother with the world who don't appreciate Italian's football? Just leave the Serie A in tact and everything will be fine. Fine with racism; fine with prejudice.

It's time for Italians NOT to persuade others but to self-develop. UEFA has always been contradicting to themselves: all the ref. calls; then Materazzi got banned for 2 games for no obvious reasons etc.... just unacceptable.... double-standard what I call, and I have no trust in authority anymore.

Firstly, I was all about DIE !!!!

Then, I was all FORZA!!!

Last I checked, it was back to DIE!!!!!

Seriously, my local newspaper did not even have each conviction and evidence for/against in details. So the general public literally lumped these four teams together. I don't know what the UEFA gonna do. If they don't allow Milan to participate, does this mean they ignore the Italian Justice System?

If they allow Milan, I'm sure there's some sort 'special' rules involved. Or maybe they will shoot themselves on the foot like FIFA and started to open a new whole can of worms. Shesh.

I am fully agree with your thought about ignoring Italian Justice System.
But then..let us back to Materazzi's case.....How can they punished Matrix for 2 match ban while the real "physical agressor" the Crazy Zidane is just given 3 match ban and they knew that he will no longer play Internationals???
Another evidence that the WC Trophy wasn't handed by FIFA President Blatter but to Johansson who wil be leading the "Emergency Meeting" to kick out Milan from CL today!!!!

I have a strong feeling that they will not allow Milan to play CL...what a crazy decison it would be to cancel a great team like Milan and just give it to Palermo or maybe to other country's "minor" team.....
