If the French get this one over on the FIGC, then it just confirms that the current world cup holders have no clout in UEFA...and therefore none in FIFA...this is patently ridiculous...

Lens? Who the hell are they? What have they ever accomplished in Europe? I would much rather Palermo, or Sienna for that matter, to gain entry....Italy have 4 spots, guaranteed, based on previous form in the competition...that cannot be taken from them...

For God's sake just let Milan play the CL! I don't know but I also have that feeling they won't take Milan out. Well, for one thing, they're including them in the draw tom. and it doesn't seem right to take them out a couple of days later. Plus, the FIGC has submitted Milan for CL and UEFA should just take it!It's not like UEFA would need to investigate the whole Calciopolo scandal since these 4 clubs actually might be appealing in the future. Milan is pleading innocent on this and nobody just has the WHOLE truth right now!

It's also making it harder for the club because they have to prepare for upcoming matches and they have to wait for confirmation. I wish they will decide sooner on this.

The yes or no? Aye or non? Maybe? Definitely not maybe, is driving me crazy. First, we don't know whether we will be in A. Second, we don't know whether we will be in UEFA Competition. Third, after all those happiness of verdict, we *still* do not know whether we will be in CL or not.

I think I will loose my hair at the end of the day because too much hair-pulling at this mess. It ruined our transfer market. Seriously. If we, the fans are stress over it, the players and the management are more so.

All said and done, I don't think UEFA will put Milan in the draw and then pulled the carpet out of our feet in the last minute. That'll just too cruel for words.

One thing is for sure right now.... Moratti with his dirty smile and Mancini plus the entire Inter connection are laughing so loud....for the scudetto title and they will even put the emblem in their team bus..what a crazy pride they're having right now....

Who knows that they are now "working out" with FIGC and UEFA to kick out Milan from CL??
Remember one of the 3 panelist being formed by Rossi for granting Inter the 2005-2006 scudetto is Gerhard Aigner, the former UEFA General Secretary......
I start to smell another "dirty action" from those bastards for Milan to be wiped out from CL on August 2nd....Hope my guess is not happen but it is really a very slim chance for them to let Milan go to CL..

so what, Oldman, if Milan is destined for damnation unjustably, why do you stll want to play in that so-called prestigious champion league? It's not prestigious; it's presumptuous.

IMHO, it is much more important for Milan to proof 2 things :

1. In Italy : That Milan to proof that we are STILL the MUCH BETTER TEAM than the given scudetto of 2005-2006, Inter who never win a "real scudetto" since 1989. If Milan play in the CL then it is the best chance to again proofing who will ends in higher rank in Europe..not just Italy. Also to proof that Milan can still winning matches 'WITHOUT" the so called the help from referees or "fixing matches" like the unjust accusation at the CAF (guess who is the prosecutor...Plazzi...who is he? And who is Guido Rossi?? Both are Inter "related" individuals that have "special connection" with Inter qq. Moratti)

2. In Europe : To again proofing that Milan STILL one of the Italian Best team competing in CL since many years back. Remember that Milan won CL for 6 times, second only to Real Madrid who won for 9 times.. Will people claimed that Milan won the CL Trophy because of "fixing matches" in CL and got the "little help" from the international referees??

Got my points now Jeff?
I don't care if Milan won't play in CL , but for the above reasons I think it is so much more important to directly proof the football world that Milan is Milan and we have had and shall win matches CLEANLY..fullstop. And..indirectly we can proof the words of Berlusconi like belows (taken from official Milan website :
quote.
7/27/2006
MILAN - President Silvio Berlusconi commented on the appeal verdicts: ’It was an unjust decision and paradoxical: we at Milan did nothing, we have only been damaged.’

unquote

So...I still want Milan to play in CL rather than watching Lens which is no better than the 1st rank of Serie B...
I can "smell" why Lens is so spiritful to claim a spot left by Milan if UEFA cancel Milan..the French Football (including their "legendary heroes" Platini and Zidane) backing them up for the sore loss in the recent WC2006..what the greatest joke on earth I ever heard during my life (I'm 61 now)

Hope you are agree with me Jeff..till next topic

I am always on the same boat with you, Oldman, on this issue. What I'm disappointed with UEFA is that they try to bar Milan from playing Champion League; which is simply killing football. Another discontent from mine about the CL is that it's a competition in which a lot of luck is involved. Barca is perhaps one oft he teams that win without much luck last year. Even Milan's last CL title bore some luck.

Of course, luck is part of the game; but when luck plays in almost every game that was played in the CL, then the value of CL is lost. Why don't I go and have fun for playing lottery?

Milan is one of the best in Europe, and the world. You won't convince everyone even if Milan won everything, trust me, while people will give lame excuse to Barca if they don't win something.

People are biased; they love Ronaldinho; they love the way he delivered. Yes he is extremely talented, and probably one of the best in the world; but to apothesize him like the god of football is way way too much.

Simply said, people are jealous of Milan. "It's just impossible; how can a bunch of old farts can defend?"

But now, Milan has something to prove: that Milan can still survive, AND WIN, even without Shevchenko. That will be one of the biggest challenges this year.
