eventhough we do have a comparitively good primavera with de vito, albertazzi etc B&G should invest in some of the younger italian/foreign prodigies owned by other serie a clubs, who own players with at least a 50% hope of being world champions....with a minimal investment...for the future....
ST - Marilungo(Sampdoria), Lanzafame(Parma) CAM - Pastore(Palermo), jovetic(fiorentina) CM - Poli(Sampdoria), Cigarini(Napoli) CB - Angella (Sampdoria), Astori(Cagliari), Kjaer(Palermo) WB - Santon(Inter) GK - julio sergio(roma), Colombi(sampdoria) Fiorentina, Sampdoria, Palermo are already building their future on these playesr & what do we have...??? |

I don't worry about Milan's future anymore. Leo seems like he knows what he's doing on the transfer front, and even with a small(ish) budget, i'm sure he can use it to get what we need. Last summer doesn't count because they didn't have that much confidence in him, really, but now that he's doing great I'm sure that they'll give him what he wants. As long as it's reasonable.
Next summer is going to be very interesting. If Borri continues playing the way he is, i'd rather not waste 20+ on Dzeko.

As for the rest, maybe a young GK and more youth is all.... Very cheap indeed.

Storari has been loaned out to Sampdoria!!
I don't understand why he started against Novara instead of giving Abbiati some playing time if they knew he was leaving.... Very strange decision ![]() |

![]() I told you, Abbiati is staying. There's no way Leonardo would let his best keeper go. Anyway, loaning Storari until the end of the season means that Dida probably will not get an extension, so Storari will be back to be a cover for Abbiati next season. |

yeah....but seriously, why not play his "best keeper" (if this is really Leo's thought) and give him match practice if they were planning to loan Storari and keep him???? ![]() |

Dida's contract will run out this summer, and we all know MGT dont want to give him a extencion because of his ridiculous salary,Dida could stay for a year if he takes a paycut like Rino, but i doubt he will do this.Dida refused to go to a other club for playing time last season,he was happy to sit on the bench for a whole year earning big money without doing anything.
So i think Dida will leave us this summer(probably back to Brazil),then Abbiati will be our number one goalkeeper again with Storari as backup and maybe Roma as third goalkeeper... As for now,Dida is a better goalkeeper then Abbiati,Dida can do stuff Abbiati cant, also Dida is looking solid for the past matches so it is for the good of Milan right now that he is playing. |

What you say here is a common vision ... so if I summarize: - a player who sits on the bench and who doesn't complain is there only for money - a player who sits on the bench and says all the time he has to play and could go if needed doesn't love the club So actually, clubs can only have 13-14 players, the others have to leave ? To be honest, I'm not a fan of Dida (actually, that's not a mistery), but this year, he's been solid. The guy never complained about being the second choice or even the third choice, he just waited his chance to become the first GK again. But for most of the people here, Dida didn't complain because he was well paid and only for that reason. We can also see this kind of paradox with what follows: - Seedorf wants to stay, it's only for money - Kaka' leaves and signs a mega-contract, it's the management who wanted to sell him There are many other things like that we can find on this forum ... |

It's funny how people automatically cite greed as his motive for staying at Milan. Not that his contract plays zero factor here, but given his age and past injury problems, there was no guarantee that he would've magically found playing time somewhere else, not to mention having to adjust to a new team so late in his career. That being said, his hanging around sure as hell has paid off in hindsight twice in less than a year, all without bitching to the media about lack of playing time (et tu, Rino?), so it's not as if the money's completely gone to waste. Lastly, If Dida leaves, it will not be to return to Brazil football. He wants to retire here or in Europe. |

on Dida, i agree with GeoTav & Blacktop.
why do we have to think badly of the guy and say he stayed because of the money and not because he's a real professional and knows how to accept the manager's choices without making a fuss like Gattuso has done. Dida's personality is actually reflected on the pitch where he has always looked like a low profile & quiet guy so it's not strange that this is the real reason why he stayed. and we can't compare his case to Redondo because Redondo didn't play because he was injured while Dida did not because of the manager's choice. |

A little take on the Dida's case from me. I don't think people said he cared about nothing but money based on the fact that he was quiet on the bench. People drew that conclusion because he refused to leave the team to get more playing time elsewhere.

Some people here were upset because Dida didn't ask to release his contract ... is that normal ? |

No Geo, the thing was, Milan asked to release his contract and asked to sell him but he refused and chose to sit on the bench after coming off consecutive terrible performances and has lost the faith of the fans and some of the team. You can call it brave but I've made up my mind a long time ago on this case and it was definitely for the money.
