maybe in 2006 not any more. ambrosini is way more important and useful for the team. i love gattuso but hes wasting a spot in the team. i am hoping he does not ruin the derby next week.

Brk, well, even when Galli had the money, he screwed them up too. I mean, Gourcuff, Gila, Olivera and Hunter aside. Looks at the deal for Emerson, Videz(mainly taking up a non-EU spot), and other so call bargain deals. On top of that, he did gave out huge contracts for players who are at the end of their career.
Also, when Berlu used to spend crazy money, Galli did got the best talents from around the world, but he also overpaid for them instead of how Moggi does it(always lower the players price). |

Galliani is an idiot, I don't know how anyone can think otherwise about him. You want to see an example of a good manager\director then look at moggi, if it wasn't for the calciopoli incident Juventus would be the current kings of Serie A and Europe and no matter how much money Inter spend on new players they would not have competed.

its not new on galliani its an old habbit back from the 90s we bought unnecessary players and then we sold them for 10% of their price. i blame it to him and only him. our management lack planning, if you plan your work, you shouldnot have problem settling on any player. to have a 30+ squad with a 130 mil as salary offcourse you wont even think about buying new players. emerson alone cost us 22 mil tax and salary included! isn't a joke? ronaldo 28 mil ... etc this kind of actions will make us sell a star player every year inorder to clean up the mess of a stupid arrogant old man. no i don't blame berlusconi, i blame galliani for this sh*t. when dida was offered 4 mil a year, buffon was making 2.5 mil. i mean come on, who in the hell is willing to offer a 33 years old gk such a huge contract ? flamini is a very good player but for 5.2 mil a year? you gotta be kidding me we need a total rebuilding next year we need to let go dida, roma, oddo, kaladze, favalli, janku and inzaghi nesta will be 34, zambrotta 33, pirlo 31, gattuso 32, seedorf 34, ambrosini 33 i dont think those players are able to play 50 matches a season. we will be lucky if they play the half and 10 matches on form. if we dont do a serious thing about it we are gonna be suck just like before.

Why is Moggi a god for most of you ?!
It was easy to have lower prices on transfers (only with the Italian ones and the players already playing in Italy with some Italian agent ...) when you control agents !! It's easy to be "the king of Serie A" when you control referees !! Seriously, Moggi was a real mafioso working in football, and you all talk about him like if he was a genius ... Oh and he was far to make "his" Juventus become the "king of Europe", as he was unable to control referees in CL ... and the results of Juventus in CL during their domination of Serie A should allow people to see it. They were amongst the Top 8 of Europe for sure, but not more while we were one of the best teams. PS: And when you see how Inter are helped by bad decisions from the referees sometimes which contribute to their domination in Serie A, and how they struggle in CL, that is weird but it is exactly the same situation (I hope I'm wrong for them as there is no proof of course) ... ![]() regarding the Galliani-Berlusconi issue, obviously we all agree that they have made mistakes, but the argument is how big these mistakes are... if we wish to just look at the negatives that B&G have done, we can do the same with other teams and see how they spent huge money on transfers that flopped big time (regardless of reason), or that are performing fairly good but no where close to deserving the big money that was paid.. Inter, Juve, Liverpool, ManU, Real,...all have made millions of dollars worth of mistakes in the transfer markets.... Selling Sheva & Kaka??? although both hurt so much, Liver sold Xabi, Inter sold the great Ronaldo at the time & Zlatan now, ManU sold Beckham & CR9, Juve sold Zidane!!! We can all argue as much as we want for the reason they were sold, but the fact remains they were the soul of the teams they were playing for and yet they were sold for one reason or another... I'm really not defending B&G, i'm just saying that if you put things into perspective, you'll see that this is all part of football: nailing some excellent transfers & blowing some others... all that aside, i totally agree with Lebanese that the teams needs a lot of rebuilding with a lot of players that should be released and other older ones that we need to get cover for. Edit: and 100% agree with GeoTav on Moggi Last edited by LebRN; 17-01-2010 at 06:41. |

Moggi isn't a God, but he is a lot better than Galliani for sure. I think the reason a lot of fans here like him isn't the lowering fees for players (although that certainly didn't hurt). But rather, people liked him because he had a great eye for talent, knew how to properly plan transfers and wasn't wasteful with his resources. He might have controlled some agents, but they didn't spoon feed him guys like Trezeguet, Zidane, Ibrahimovic and many other foreign youngsters. Those guys didn't come in as established stars but ended up being huge thanks to the scouting of Moggi. Meanwhile, he was also the guy who performed the miracle by allowing Juventus to become an even stronger team in the same summer they sold Zidane. That kind of planning is absolutely unreal in the sports world. Even the great Alex Ferguson can't compete with Moggi in that department. And lastly, Moggi never gave out ridiculous contracts to aging has beens. Players in Juve had to actually play well to earn their contract instead of sitting on the bench and b*tch all day long in front of a camera. If you compare those characterstics of Moggi to Galliani, you would understand why he would be the better GM for this Milan and the better GM overall.
I for one really don't want to talk about the Calciopolli scandal. The thing is, although Juventus and Moggi were the primary villain in this case, AC Milan wasn't exactly innocent. Juventus got relegated for it and we got deducted some good points, it's not even, but we certainly didn't get off scar free. A lot of times, we can't just focus on the records of a team to determine the quality of the team. Some teams overachieve and some underachieve, that's how sports work. Even though Juventus didn't dominate Europe, their squad quality was one of the best in the world, the same can be said for Inter now. As the management of a club, Galliani's job is to make the team better, not just recordwise but also squad quality wise, and that's exactly what he hasn't been doing for the better half of the last decade. As for LebRn, those teams sold their big name players for money, just like us. The difference, however, is that they didn't brag about some "family atmosphere" within their team. They ran their team like a business and weren't afraid to tell it like it is, which is more than what I can say about our team. |

Anyway, i honestly think that the main reason why we have been able to perform so much above expectations this season is not just Leo's management, but really the good atmosphere at Milan...so i still do believe the spirit is there |
