And yeah it was a wondergoal by my man Ballack!!!!!!

And he's at Inter next season!
40 years you don't win the cup with the big ears
36 years you don't play a CL final

and that's without mentioning how many years without a scudetto now? 14 or 15?

Every player you get every year, arrives as "the man", but really doesn't play well again (if ever) until he is transferred somewhere else... in some case, to ACM.

well, don't believe all you hear. I couldn't watch the game live due to PC problems so all my sources came from websites with live reports and such. The majority of the opinions were that bayern "seemingly" had more possession of the ball but I guess that was because Milan's tactics was all about staying back and counterattacking trying to score at least 1 away goal, while letting in as few as possible. It was very much like the Milan-Inter games of last year in the CL - they tried to make the play, while we closed them down, suffocated them and took the most of all opportunities they provided us with.
Other sources were other MM members a number of whom gave way too negative of a review on how we performed, which is the norm for some people here. A day after the game, however, I was able to watch the whole game on a stream - I posted a link to it - and what I saw was quite different from the "awful" marks certain people gave Milan.
In the second half of the game, Milan went forward with larger numbers looking for an equaliser and bayern looked a bit lost, especially after Sheva scored that penalty. After that they tried to come up with something meaningful up front but Milan's rearguard didn't allow them to even breath, so it all ended in pointless crosses from left or right, and rare attacks through the center that ended in losing the ball before they, Bayern, could even reach our PA. I am trying to think of a real goal scoring chance they created in the entire 2nd half but right now I just can't, could be wrong though as the game was almost 2 weeks ago, but still I really can't think of any goalscoring chances they created. Milan, on the other hand had a number of dangerous counterattacks (Gila and Sheva both missed great chances they should have scored) and scored a goal. So, all in all, Milan took the 2nd
half with football that was based on purely closing down the opponent and counterattacking them.
The first half bayern were the more settled team as Milan looked a bit toothless up front and confused after we conceded that goal. Until that ballack goal, Milan were the more composed team on the field as Bayern tried to attack but they looked as if the not all the players were on the same page and looked out of synch. In those minutes, Milan's only problem was that we couldn't create goal chances but in defence and midfield we looked pretty good as we stopped all bayern's lame attempts to attack us. And that's when the goal came - The midfield didn't close down Ballack and allowed him just too much time and space to operate on the ball and bayern scored with a 25-30m shot a bit out of the blue, I have to say, as they had hardly endangered us prior to that moment. For 5-10 m after that goal, Milan players looked out of sorts and allowed bayern to create one other opportunity, which could have resulted in a second goal but Makkay's shot was well saved by Dida. Apart from that, Bayern had 2-3 dangerous shots from long range - 30m or so - and that was it, no other real chances in the first half for them, and this is the half which a lot of people claim went to Bayern.
All in all they had 2-3 long range shots (they all went straight in Dida's hands, so not sure if I could count those as goal scoring chances), one goal by Ballack with a long range shot, and one pretty good chance through Makkay, which he wasted, and that was it. As for the second half, they couldn't even get a sniff at goal and couldn't build one attack worth remembering, so I honestly don't know what those people saw to make them say that we deserved to lose. IMO, it was a game we could have lost - if Makkay had scored that chance, the result would have become 2-0 for Bayern - but could have also easily won as we not only equalised in the scond half but had a couple of other great chances and, on a better day, could have won by 2-1 and even more.
If you ask me whether Milan gave their best, my answer is "not even close" but to say that we were in any way inferior and deserved to lose, that just a load of BS. And let's not forget that we played a team that's among the favourites to win the CL, a team that beat Juve and made them look plain, a team that by that game, hadn't lost a single point on their home turf in any game be that a Bundesliga or CL one (this last one is no longer true as we drew them and yesterday Hamburg beat them 2-1 at the Allianz Arena).

If you're not a Bayern or Milan fan, then you'd have forgotten this game right after it finished. It was all tactics and not even a "B" from beauty.
The way Milan played it, was typical "Italian big clubs playing an important match away from Italy" match !
Some can say that Milan played awful, but if you take into concideration that this was an away match in 1/8 finals of CL, that it was played in Munich, and that it was Ancelotti who probably said to the players to play the way they played, then we can say that Milan players played perfectly ! They didn't play for the crowd, but they played just the way Ancelotti told them to...maybe the only possibile way to get a good result !

Zlatanov was absolutely right about how the match went. Ballack scored, Makaay had a good chance, and it was everything the Munich club did.
Milan had solid chances missed by Sheva and Gila and scored a penalty goal.

All in all, the only fair and realistic result of this match was 1:1 !!!

No Milan did not deserve to lose at all. Bayern got lucky. They were not lucky in the sense that we missed our chances. That happens to every team. They were fortunate that Dida got injured just when we were moving into first gear. This really stalled the tempo of the game and we lost it from there. From then on it looked like the match had no aim. We would probably have gone on to rape them had that injury not occcured and taken days to get over with.

As for Ballack, he wants to play for a team that has a chance of actually winning something, which automatically takes Inter out of the picture. Better luck tomorrow.
No dude.
Ballack wants a real challenge. Inter is a perfect choice then.
Milan has lost interested in him, face it. Galliani is one stupid, ugly bastard.

And he certainly won't go to Juve.
That is ofcourse if he doesn't want to cheat, get doped and gobbi **** like that.
But I believe the guy has enough morals not to go there.

Ballack has a more realistic ambition than " a real challenge " , He wants A Cup Next season , It is the European Champions Cup that he wants.
So Inter definitely not a perfect choice for him.
And as your opinion about Galliani, well, I can only say, We can't have all the world Class Players in our hand even if it comes for free, why? Because the team need to keep balance ( we don't want to end up like Real Madrid won't we? ) and a player like Ballack will get one of our regular player out from San Siro. It's like Ronaldo come to offer his service for free, what should we do? sign him and kick one of Gilardino or Inzaghi?
The match between Milan-Muenchen tonight proved that Ballack is not a great difference. But if you watch Ronaldinho, HE IS a GREAT Difference!!
So Galliani's decision to keep silence ( he never say refuse!! ) about the probability to sign Ballack is in order to think deeper about our next squad composition next season and let the team foccus on Serie A and CL.
Galliani is A wise person, interest about Ballack can be revealed after the CL is over, not now.

i agree with you..where can he find a harder challenge than making a clueless team win a title after 16 years?
There's only one place: Appiano Gentile
