I and many respectable portions of the Italian media believe, however, that Berlusconi wants Kaka to be Maldini’s heir. Kaka recently met with Berlusconi, and I think Silvio told him as much. If Berlusconi has 100 million set aside for Ronaldinho (like he says), then I believe that he definitely will do what it takes to keep Kaka. Think about it. Kaka is the best player in the world right now. Why not invest in the best that you currently have, and then worry about other targets?

We have to remember one thing: Kaka is not Italian, so he has no nationalistic or local allegiance to Milan or Italian football. To keep him until retirement, Milan will probably have to renew his contract 3 more times, in my opinion. If Kaka leaves, however, I think it will be in 2012, or 2011 at the earliest. I think there are more chances, God willing, that he retires with our shirt. Remember, he also has a very robust sense of morality largely because he is a devout Christian.

I also think Berlusconi and Galliani will promise him a position in Milan’s management once he is done (like Leonardo).

Lastly, I never really trusted Sheva, and I don’t remember him professing eternal love or even promising eternal commitment (I may be wrong). When he went (at the age of 30 almost), I wasn’t too devastated.

The following figures have been derived from gazzetta and uefa magazine:

Currently Kaka earns 5.5 million euros a season at Milan (he is the 4th highest earner in the world). He earns close to 4 million euros from his image rights.

Milan will probably raise that to 7 ish million in his new contract and hand over his image rights to him, or maybe half his image rights. He may have a new clause in his contract that states he will earn all of his image rights if he stays with the club beyond 2012 (let’s say). When all is said and done, Kaka will pull in about 10-11 million euros.

Milan will also, most probably, make Kaka captain after Maldini leaves.

Remember, Milan have done a similar thing with Ronaldo. His base salary is 5 million, but he pockets all of his image rights (3 million, so a total of 8 million).

That’s my opinion of things.
I read on ESPNSOCCERNET.COM that our KAka earns 6 million euros a year and he is the highest earner in Serie A followed by Totti.

Money Isnt all. Passion and true love for milan is what is key to total commitment.

There are a lot of football mecenaries out there that are not trophy hunters and will play as contracted without passion. They usually play well but dont care about the clubs success. We need some of these players but the correct mix is to be determined by the milan philosophers.

Yes Gazzetta released those figures recently, after I posted.

I was just watching another interview with Kaka on that uefa magazine show. Here's what he said: "I want to play at Milan for another 10 years. I want my kids to grow up here."

From the official site: "I will not leave Milan. They will have to send me away!"

Forza Kaka!

I've been waiting for a reaction like this from Carlo on any subject for so long. Sometimes he's just too mild-mannered.

Plus If
Henry & Vieira can leave Arsenal,
Oddo and Nesta can leave Lazio,
Zambrotta and Thuram can leave Juve,
Figo can leave Barca,
Malouda, Essien & Abidal can leave Lyon
Owen can leave Liverpool

then why not Kaka can leave ACM saying that now he needs a new challenge There is only 1 Paolo Maldini
Henry & Vieira left Arsenal, but in cosideraation that the first to join much bigger clubs (Juve and Barca) with all my respect to Arsenal and its fans of course.
Oddo was (if I am not mistaken) a Milan player when he was a teenager and Nesta did not leave Lazio they but him on the transfer list because they were in seriouse debts.
Figo hmmmmmmmmm the same as Henry and Vieira also Malouda and all those Lyon guys.
Owen in the only case so we can consider him an expection not a rule.
I am not saying that you are mistaken may be Kaka will leave Milan but uptill now there is not any reason that force him to do so except our current form so hope it wont last for long.

Kaka Shocks Milan: I Would Like To Play In Spain

The Milan forward declared that a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona attracts him and that in the future it can become a possibility.

For Milan fans this is not an easy moment. After watching their side slide down the Serie A standings to 7 points behind Inter and suffering a disappointing defeat against Celtic in the Champions League, the Rossoneri supporters now have to face the possibility of seeing Riccardo Kaka leaving their club for a Spanish side.

This was revealed by the same player to the website of the Spanish daily newspaper 'El Pais', where the Brazilian player re-opened the doors for a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona after closing them in the past summer.

When asked which Spanish club he would prefer to play in, the Brazilian replied without any problem.

"I already play for a great club like Milan, but one day I would like to play in a great team in Spain, like Real Madrid or Barcelona," he replied.

"The transfer market rumours are things which the press reports, it has always been like this. However, for a player, knowing that a club, or two or even three, are interested in him is a satisfaction."

These words are surely arrived in the worse possible moment for Milan and stir new speculation on an eventual and possible transfer of Kaka to Spain at the end of this season.

Sooner or later some one else would of pasted the article - One day he's with us for life and then he wishes to play in Spain.

My personal view is that Dida is to blame (im not using him as an escape goat) but how many blunders has he done in Seria A? how many points has he cost Milan? Also he was the reason Milan lost to Celtic, its not having a positive affect on the team.

Is this true? If so, what a complete moron!

Milan and Kaká have been working on denying all reports of him changing clubs for years and the media haven't written too much about it lately. And now this?!? I don't understand, he's either stupid or he has really bad representatives/agents. Now the rumours will start again, at full blast...

It's time to play football and not talk crap!

That's the main reason why I don't buy it; the "perfect" timing the news came out on papers

I read the original interview yesterday...

we have to realize a few things:

1) Kaka will probably leave Milan in 2010. However, that is not certain. We can only see what happens every summer.
2) When Kaka was interviewed once by the English press he said it would be an honour to play in stadiums in England where the stadiums are always full.
3) In the interview he said that "if one day he was to stop playing in Italy, he would play in Spain for Real or Barca." I don't think it takes a genius to figure that out.

Indeed it is an honour to play in full-packed stadiums in England, or in big ones like Bernabeu or Nou Camp. I've been watching EPL for some times now and the atmosphere in Anfield or Old Trafford always amazes me. The enthusiasm brought forward by the crowds is just what the palyers need. But I think what Kaka said were nothing more than just kind or polite words to answer questions like "would you like to play for MU (or Madrid, you name it). Much as I love Kaka, even if he leaves someday this club will still survive.

all right.. thank you for your information, Hasan. I remember the interview you mentioned. After saying he was a big fan of EPL, especially United and Chelsea, Kaka told the English interviewer, that if and when( he was quite clear on these three words) he decides to leave Milan, he would certainly consider EPL clubs. He talked in glowing terms about these two clubs, btw, together with Celtic. He was very careful, though, in emphasizing the possibility of his leaving Milan was almost nil. By the expression of his face and the way he talked. when I read the article I thought the Spanish press, in their usual obsession with Kaka, quoted his words out of context and I am so glad that I guessed right. My heart nearly stopped when I read the article. I personally feel he will stay at Milan for as long as he is wanted. Which could probably mean until he's dead. It just sounds like he has no intention of leaving. If you really listen to what he actually says, anyway.

Actually Kaka cleared it all up.

The question was "if you HAVE to leave Milan one day where will you go?"

He also criticized Dida. Finally the players are getting tired of it too.
