we r making all negative records this season...

main thing that worries me is the fact they cant score, if we dont score in the first half, there not going to... really is scary and embarrassing.. Sad to say, but i think even lazio have a better squad than we do. It takes alot for me to say that...

we cant seem to open teams up.. In italy its even more difficult because we are now the most predictable team..

I wish I can agree with you, but the problem about being 'predictable' is that people have been saying MIlan be predictable for more than 2/3 seasons, just like People saying Milan's defense is old (for like what? 5 years already?). So, if it used to deliver, but not now, then that is exactly the problem.

Anyway, ask our strikers to score, that's the whole issue.

Does anyone remember a good performance from Pirlo this year at campionato or CL ????

Carlo Ancelotti focused on the positive aspects of Milan’s qualification and insisted his era would continue despite their dismal form.

“What went wrong? Just the fact that this is a period when everything is happening,” said the Coach after their 1-0 Champions League defeat at AEK Athens.

“We lost Marcos Cafu and Dario Simic at the last minute on top of the six players at home, then Dida got injured. We had a host of chances and hit the woodwork, but despite it all we are qualified and this gives us the strength and confidence to keep going.”

The Rossoneri are still certain of top spot in Group H thanks to Lille’s 2-2 draw with Anderlecht, even after losing their unbeaten record in the Champions League this season.

The injury crisis continues, though, as Cafu suffered a setback yesterday, then Simic pulled out with a problem during the warm-up and Dida hurt his left knee in the second half.

“Dida picked up an injury and was able to carry on for a while, but then it got worse. We’ll see what the situation is after some tests over the next few days.”

Milan dominated the match in Greece and had almost 70 per cent of the possession, but couldn’t hit the back of the net.

“The team played very well at the start and kept the tempo high with three or four clear-cut chances. They were also good in the second half, but hit the upright with Pippo Inzaghi and had a few more opportunities,” added Ancelotti.

“When a striker is without goals, it’s like he’s missing the fundamentals of his game. We just have to maintain the strength to keep going, focus, work hard and trust the goal will come eventually.”

The winning goal was a soft one, as Clarence Seedorf gave away a free kick on the edge of the area and the defensive wall didn’t seem to be set out very well when Julio Cesar curled in.

“I always tell my players that if they let a goal in the very top corner we must compliment our opponents. If it doesn’t, then we’ve made a mistake,” said the Coach.

“We have to remember that, regardless of the defeat, we achieved our objective in topping the Group so that in February we’ll get back into the tournament in better shape. Of all the negative things that have happened recently, we’ll take it as a positive sign that we lost and still went through.”

With their appalling form, losing five of their last seven games in all competitions, the Press asked what this meant for the future of the Ancelotti era.

“This era is continuing. I like the idea of staying at Milan for 10 years, but I’d like to do it the way I am now – on the field every day, in sync with the club and planning together for the future.”

and why is Carlo's fault if our players don't run, if our strikers can't score chances that my grandmother would i really don't understand why you think so, he can't do more with these players maybe if we didn't had so many injured players we wouldn't have been in these crisis the only mistake is because he is not using the youth players

Hm, i may be wrong here, but thats how i see it... So whats really different with squad now and last year.

OK, we lost a sheva, rui, vogel and stam. We got some replacements so there's not that much difference. You could expect slighter worse play.
2 weeks preaparing and we won all games we were into. And now after 2 months of regular trainig, learning tactics and playing together as a team we cannot win anymore. This excuse is at least one month too old for me.
Moggipoli effect. There is - does that mean we should re-buy the whole team so we dont have effected players? NO, we need a shrink/motivator/psycho to get their heads clear. They cant forget how to play just because they started 3 games down!
We had injuries last year and they hurt us even more now. All players are one year older (which in our case is bad for a lot of them), and few of them are tired from WC. I agree with all of that. Then we should rest them, use some primavera subs or something like that (gamble on one game to win another 2).

My whole point is that today milan had faaar better team on the field (also goes for games against seriea minnows) and lost in style.

carlo is the the guardian of the team, its his baby... Carlo is responsible for it... Ok all our strikers are firing blanks, someone has to take the blame.. One striker you can blame it on the player, but all 4? something is wrong with the service and the tactics... If its not the case then the management are to blame, but carlo is hugely resposible for how we are currently playing!

But solving this 'one of the problems' will also solve a lot other problems, automatically, I believe. Because this isTHE MOST important problem.

So now what? After gila, it's Carlo? Give us a break.

I'll blame the management before blaming Carlo; who doesn't buy any goddarn player for Carlo in summer? (then of course we can blame the scandel)... Sacking Carlo will be an act of irresponsibility from the management team, who has created this own mass.

sacking Carlo will NOT help because it's NOT the solution.

The striekrs have to sink in easy chances. That's the MAIN (albeit not all-cure) solution.

yeah, solving this would get us better win ratio and that is what we desperately need ASAP.

So how would u solve this problem? With waiting?
