I read the whole thread and one question popped up that Diavolo should be able to answer.
During the horror of Istanbul it's said that during the halftime a Liverpool fan started to sing "YNWA" and whole stadium took it off. Did Milan fans sing along or was it even started by us?

guys i want some sort of fossa or BRN flag or scarf becuz i found a website selling scarfs of BRN but lost it come on guy there has to be something need help badlyu!!!!

A guy who wants to write a book about football rivality has send an email to me and asking these questions. Any of you can help him? He will give you credit in his book if the information is accurate.

Would I be right in assuming this particular derby has no real history of violence, especially compared to the likes of Lazio v Roma and Juve v Torino?

Does music and fashion have any influences in Italian football in general and if so what are they, especially amongst the Milan fans.

Do the police insist on segregation of rival supporters on match days when AC and Inter play each other and do they have to make there way to the stadium from different directions?

AC Milan are my favourite team in Italy and I have took an interest in their results over the past 7 or 8 years. In that period I got to see them play Napoli at home, Inter in the champs league in 2005 and away at Lyon in the champions league 2005. I never really see any negative reports about AC supporters and they dont strike me as being a violent club. Inter on the other hand appear to be involved in hooliganism quite often, their supporters seem to have gained notoriety over the years. Is this true? Why do you think that is?

When did the derby rivalry start with Inter and why? What really annoys Inter fans about AC and what annoys AC fans about Inter. Have there ever been any major incidents between the 2 sets of supporters, if so can you provide me with any accurate information?

I've taken part in all these ones,except to Milan - Juve CL final; don't remember if Franco 6 was with us for the Milan _Roma game; surely i remember the maltese group on that day: one Milan Club Malta's leader and a friend of us showing his bare ass to all Roma fans LOL

Replies in bold. Note the following points.
- Every member has to pay the subscibtion fee of his preferred group every season.
- There is no official political orientation for Curva Sud groups however every group has it's political beliefs which is not shown in stadium though.
- Curva Sud has 1 officila leader that represents all groups known as Il Barone, but each groups has it's leaders.
-Incidents and fights with other supporters are same for all curva sud groups since they travel toghether in train stations, buses etc. I'll provide info later on these.
-If you take a look at this thread you may see some curva songs (even my sig) banners etc.
- To be a member you just need to pay your membership fee at the Curva Sud in Milano.

What is gate 17 and why is it relevant to the Milan Ultras? till season 2004/05 Ultras used to enter in stadium from gate 11. in the last derby i went the gate changed but i forgot the number I assume it's gate 17.

From birth of Inter rivalry between Milan and Inter started. Milan tease Inter on number of UCL and leagues won and success at international level derby won 6-0. Inter tease AC fans for the fact that inter where never relegated.

We must say that Milan ultras have always behaved in recent times, esp since Spagnolo was stabbed in Genoa in 1994.
But you don't have to believe Milan ultras are cluddling pets or something; this would be a big mistake. Milan ultras are as scary as any other.
Probably the chiefs have been more able to control every department of the Curva.

The big issue of these very last days is this : last night Il Barone (Milan's ultras supreme chief) spoke in a tv football show and said that, with the last and more recent rules , groups won't have any responsibility for the huge amount of people going to a match inside Milan's end and especially on away games. He and the other chieftains will be just single persons going to the stadium and buying a ticket for themselves. Therefore, the ultras won't organise collective mass away game trips: everyone will get to the stadium site with his own car and there won't be a control or a responsibility from the chiefs anymore.

This is why, in his opinion, the recent rules can become a boomerang. The groups get criminalised, but they also guaranted a control on 3000+ people from the inside.
You will believe me that, if a bunch of chieftains ask you to stop with some acts and behave (esp when police is around) you will obey every single word.

If the groups get solved, the problem is that we'll lack this control from behind, and the dangers can possibly get bigger.

I think there should be a lot of material on italian Ultras movement history and reports on the net, but most of it is in italian : i can't see those guys writing in english when they barely know italian
Despite that, you will find a lot of nice people inside the italian ends. The average age in Milan's Curva Sud is 20 years old.

I had the priviledge to sit with the ultras several times. A couple were at an away game such at Parma which consisted of really only the ultras in attendance and once in a derby match. Unfortunately it wasnt our home game, so the pageantry wasnt as intense. However the atmosphere on the the Sud side was more intense and lively. I couldnt believe at how pathetic the Inter choreography was at their own home game! We won that game 1-0 with a goal from Pippo. That was in late March/early April 2003. We got there really early and with a friend from BRN who was my "host" or sponsor. Just said I came from the whole other side of the world (Hawaii) and that was enough for them to allow me the honor of sitting with them.
The Curva Sud is like the only place where the the ticket ushers/stadium employees really dont go and enforce rules. That was one thing I noticed. If anyone is allergic to smoke... sit in the arancio section. Got money and know people???? Maybe the tribuna is the best.

I believe that was LFC fans who start to sing YNWA.
