This just confirms one thing:

FORM IS TEMPORARY. CLASS IS PERMANENT.

Must I say it was one of the worst performances by Milan. By Kaka and Pirlo in particular. Inzaghi came on and made a world of difference. Well done Carlo for bringing Pippo on instead of Gila and not with him.

Luck or no luck, he scored!!!!!!!!! This is a morale boaster for him as he has not been doing well recently. Coming in at the 60ish minutes and scored twice and made one for Kaka` is incredible. Kudos to him.

Will he start the next match? Or Ancelotti is going to play a 4-3-1-2 formation next week with Inzaghi + Ronaldo or Gila + Ronaldo in front? We'll see, but this is getting exciting with Ronaldo coming back from injury to partner Inzaghi/Gila!!

Just a correction shakhtar scored at the San Siro, it was 4-1, but point taken. Our results look a lot better than in serie a, we've scored in every game so far!

Great result, poor performance and I'm on top of the moon. Despite the final score, today we did something I've not seen us do in a loooooong time and that's win ugly. We weren't good, Shakhtar probably should have score 3 themselves, but in the end we won, and that's something I doubt we would have done in most other games of late.

The first half was a typical dull affair. Little happened, we were slow, way too deep, without width and no pace in our play at all. Kaka and Seedorf were no where, Kaka especially but then again he was fouled everytime he got within 5 feet of the ball. Simply put we looked uninspired.

The second half was an improvement as we pushed up and tried to get the ball further up the field faster. However, there still didn't look to be anything there for us until Pippo came on, and he was the perfect addition to the mix tonight. Still defensively we weren't good and Shakhtar should have scored at least 1.

Players...

Dida - Excellent, a rock
Bonera - Looked pretty frail, offensively added nothing and defensively got drawn central too often.
Nesta - Excellent as normal
Kala - Excellent like Nesta
Serginho - Disappointing as he didn't offer much going forward and defensively not great
Rino - Worked very well, was important defensively
Pirlo - Pretty disappointing on the whole, but excellent for 2 of the goals
Ambro - Poor game, looked to be all over the place and clumsy
Seedorf - wasn't ever really in the game
Kaka - Poor for most of the game, yet a moment of magic to score and the assist for Pippo is all he needed
Gila - Not a bad game by any means, worked hard and held up the ball very well. Unfortunately he was also isolated up front with 3-4 defenders on him almost the whole time
Pippo - Outstanding, he was a menace to Shakhtar
Maldini - Solid at LB
Brocchi - wasted time by coming on I guess

Today the Man of the Match has to be Carlo with his inspired sub. Pippo coming on for Gila lost me as I couldn't see how Pippo would fare any different, but after a few minutes it was evident that unlike Gila, Pippo ALWAYS plays on the shoulder of the last man and thus was able to get behind the Shakhtar defence if one of Pirlo's passes were right (Kaka and Seedorf were too tightly watched to make a difference). It worked a charm and naturally we then took advantage of the space that opened up.

I had hoped to see Ronaldo prior to the game, but I think it's fair he didn't play as we already made the sub in attack with Pippo and it would have been a waste to bring on Ronaldo too when we needed to sure up the defence and midfield.

Big win tonight, Now to Atalanta!!
